There was plenty of parking in the gravel lot next to the building. A few tables inside and several outside. There was so many ice cream treats to choose from like scoops, cones, milkshakes, and more. I chose 2 scoops of ice cream in a cup with a waffle cone on top - ya know, to not be so messy. I got a coffee flavor and a chocolate chip. The ice cream was so creamy and flavorful. The waffle cone was yummy and adds the right amount of crunch to the dessert. My mom ordered the strawberry cheesecake ice cream treat and she was in heaven with it. We couldn't rave more about this place. The quantities were VERY LARGE. We were shocked when they served them to us. The prices also were so cheap compared to ice cream spots in Central Florida. The customer service was top tier. We loved looking at the kids artwork that covered the walls. It really shows how engaged with the community this spot is and how many families they serve.

There is ice cream, milkshakes, cookie dough, and baked treats to choose from. Inside the store there are several tables to sit at to escape the heat of summer. We made our way over to the baked treats and purchased an assortment to bring back to our AirBnB. The customer service was great and helpful when making our selections. Let's get to the goodies! I loved the cookie square I got with the watermelon in icing on top. Makes for a cute seasonal dessert. The cookies were yummy along with the white chocolate peanut butter balls. I've never seen any macaroons anywhere else in the Laurel, MS area so I was really happy to see they had them here. I LOVE macaroons so I was so excited to get one and bit into it... sadly I found my experience to be a very dry crumbly macaroon that I might go so far as to call stale. I've eaten many macaroons in my time and this one is on the bottom of my list sadly. I would suggest sticking with the other items here like the candy as I did enjoy my chocolate candy I ate. Overall this is the only game in Laurel, MS for desserts like this and for your macaroon fix I would wait for a visit to New Orleans.

We were in town for a little day getaway and had our dog with us so we decided to have lunch at…read moreBird Dog Café because they have outdoor seating. There was some kind of street fair going on, so we parked in the back and walked in from the back door. It was a little confusing, but we four a very sweet server who showed us where to sit. I think her name was Lincoln and she was very sweet. The outdoor area was a little messy, but no big deal. The food was okay. I had a French burger that was a little flat tasting. My husband had the French dip. Again, it was just okay. Cocktails were pretty good. Based on that alone I probably wouldn't go back, but we were limited on choices due to having our dog with us. Here's where it took a turn. We went to our car and there was a very nasty note telling us, "The next time you park here you will be towed." It directed us to go inside to get someone to move their car which was blocking us in. We didn't see any other parking lot and there weren't any no parking signs. I went inside and found our waitress who gave the note to a woman sitting at the bar with papers spread out in front of her. I assume she was the manager or owner. She didn't say a word and sent the waitress to move her car. All of the sudden our sweet server wasn't so sweet. Come to find out, the parking lot entrance was on the side where the street fair was and we couldn't see it. I think that is a pretty nasty way to treat customers. I don't recommend this place at all.

Quiet place to get out of heat, nice employee- but I tasted two flavors & both were freezer burnt…read more I felt like my friend & I had to get something after tasting two flavors- so I got one scoop & the scoop was very small in like a 4oz cup and was $5 which is more than it should be- (in southern Mississippi- so I'm comparing local prices not prices compared to San Francisco) ... my friend got two scoops in cone which was not great & also overpriced- also there were several pans with barely enough for a scoop so the selection was less than advertised- the place was nice and cute decor but it was completely empty- so we spent $20 and tipped out of sympathy mostly! Mimmos restaurant is great- maybe they should just offer gelato at the restaurant across the street & not waste all the extra cost of having this across the street- ... God bless & I hope my review helps others make the best food and beverage experience in their travels - and always BUY AND SUPPORT LOCAL & SMALL FAMILY BUSINESSES- as this is why America is great!!
