My wife had a request that when they remove this enormous chunk of concrete between our new addition and our old foundation, they leave the interior wall intact so the dust and dirt do not come into the house. When I say they cut my concrete like a laser, I'm not exaggerating. The blade didn't touch anything inside the home. I was blown away! They even broke the piece they cut out into four pieces, like my excavator wanted, which took them much longer than anticipated. No complaints, just smiles. They stayed till it got dark and finished the job. Epic company and phenomenal work. I recommend without hesitation.

Silva Steel and Fab accepted a bid and took a $8,500 deposit. They then immediately subcontracted…read morethe work to a third party. The quality of their first attempt was substandard. The dimensions were incorrect and did not fit within the balusters -- balusters that were in place prior to Silva taking their measurements. Additionally, the spacing between the horizontal bars was inconsistent and did not meet code. The powder coating was inconsistent and completely missing in some areas. The suggested fix was to "color it with a Sharpie." Even after multiple attempts to rework the defective delivery, Silva was unable to provide a conforming solution. Ultimately, after missing the contractual delivery date by 100 days, I was left with no choice but to engage another provider. After this long mess, and acknowledging their performance was substandard, Silva has refused to return my deposit. So, I have no choice to file a lawsuit to recover my deposit. (Not that it matters, but I am a lawyer and perfectly capable of representing myself. I am throwing it out there, though, in case others have had similar experiences. I would be happy to collaborate in supporting others that have had a poor experience with this supplier).

Steve showed up early on the day we agreed on, and went right to work on the two large patches we'd talked about. He had to take a break in the middle of the job, but the sheetrock mud was drying during that time anyway. He also touched up the stairwell in a couple spots, that we had not discussed...but it was appreciated! The end result is a great job, done in a timely manner, as done as if he was working on his own home. You may be able to find cheaper, but you won't find better. I'd recommend Steve all day long.
