We moved to St. George 3 years ago and thought we were controlling the occasional insects inside and out. But recently we used a Quail Block (bird seed glued together with molasses) which attracted a quail covey each day. Unfortunately, with all the recent rain last month, the block dissolved and flowed down our hill behind the house and made excellent cockroach food. Last night we had literally had hundreds of cock roaches; all sizes. I used up two spray cans just to hold them off till this morning. I found a local Exterminator, Bulwark Exterminating in Saint George UT, using Google search, found their name on the Better Business Bureau http://www.bbb.org/utah/business-reviews/pest-control-services/bulwark-exterminating-in-st-george-ut-22014039 and favorable reviews in Yelp.com I called Saturday morning and got an appointment that day for 3pm. Later, I got a call from the technician, and asked if it was ok to come at noon, instead. Fine with me! Kyler Forgie was the technician and arrived in a clean looking truck. He reviewed the problem areas, explained what he was going to do, answering my questions satisfactorily about how the spray would be safe for birds and lizards. He went right to work. I felt very confident that he knew just what to do as he sprayed the house perimeter. And as he examined the huge pile of dead and dying cockroaches from last night, he investigated the sources of the pests. He further sprayed the entire hill which is steep, covered with rock, boulders and cactus. He especially sprayed and soaked the area with quail block residue. I feel very confident Kyler's work will cure the problem. Also, he said he would come back in a few days to follow-up with another spray application to be sure the cockroaches won't be a problem. If that wasn't enough, he found a scorpion nest under a wooden bench with the largest scorpion I've ever seen. I'm talking a 3 inch long and 1 inch wide. Surrounding it was a dozen eggs and other large scorpions. And furthermore he found a couple of black widow spiders under another bench. All taken care of. I'm sure that will stop the occasional scorpion and spider that finds its way into the house every few months. So, I'm sure if you read the above, you'll know how extremely satisfied I am with Bulwark Exterminating of Saint George and Kylar Forgie. We have had Marty as our technician for several years. He is always so friendly and helpful. Last year we had a major problem with wolf spiders under our in-ground trampoline. At our last service, I forgot to ask him to spray there again, Marty remembered this and did a heavy spray under and around it. He is wonderful at asking about what bugs we've seen and where to make sure he get everything. He also sprays in our sprinkler boxes, our pool cover box and anywhere the little bugs will try and hide. I never have had to ask him to do it he just does! We are moving next month to a neighboring town about 40 minutes away so at our last spray I had mentioned this. He was so kind and asked me if I wanted him to let the office know and get the contract but on hold until our new home is built. I had no idea that they also serviced that area. Ryan, from Bulwark, is our tech. He has been absolutely fabulous!! We've tried three other pest control companies. Some companies send a different tech almost every time and none of them have done as good of a job as Ryan. We have not had any problems with pests or rodents ever since he's been coming to take care of us. Max is our professional best control guy! He always lets us know ahead of time when he is coming out and asked us if there's anything in particular we have concerns about. He always leaves us a text message when he leaves and let us know what he did what he saw and asked us if there's anything else we would like him to come back for. Any time we see something in between services that is concerning to us they are happy to come out and fix it . We have used Bulwark for over 12 years and are very happy with their services. We will never change pest control services. We will use them as long as we own a home which of course will be for the rest of our lives. read more

Marty has been our technician for over a year and has always been friendly, efficient, and professional. We have used the company for longer than that. We have a dog, and while I often don't have time to get her toys put away on the porch where he treats, he will take care of them for me and uses pet-safe materials. We also receive an email the day he is coming and a text when he has left. If something comes up and a stray bug gets through once in awhile, I call the company, they are back out within a reasonable timeframe, and the problem is resolved, free of charge. i am very pleased with Bulwark's service, and specifically with Marty. read more

I've been using Bulwark for at least nine years and during that time I've had two technicians. Both young men have been excellent: always arriving when scheduled, always polite and neatly dressed, always efficient and completing their task with no need to make any requests for a call back. My technician is Michael Tyler Leavitt and I strongly encourage he receive a monthly tip. Recently, when he arrives there seems to be other workmen in the area and he has been forced to wait for available parking which I'm sure has disrupted his schedule. Bad, bad, bad, bad, bad. We scheduled this while out of town. Gave a code to the electronic deadbolt. Ring camera shows Christopher Erickson comes to the house, puts in the code. Then, without entering or spraying anything, types the code in again to lock the door and sprays the exterior of the house. No spraying inside despite that being what was paid for. Worse yet, he did not fully close the door, so the deadbolt could not engage and the house was left unlocked. At least a half dozen phone calls and texts to every supervisor promising they would send someone out to lock the door and no one came. read more

Everyone has a bad day, that is to be expected. But in the service sector, you are not allowed to show the customer that you are having a bad day. The tech showed up late, got sassy with my wife, and refused to spray behind the couch because we had not pulled it away from the wall. Now I understand that it is not the responsibility of the exterminator to move our household furniture. However, there are better ways to handle the situation then to get snippy. I hope he does not treat other customers with such behavior. We are now stuck in a contract with a company that I no longer want to support. :-( read more

We are very pleased with our Bulwark Pest Control Technician Marty K. He is very professional and helpful when he visits us. He always lets us know at least 24 hours in advance of his arrival and if that is inconvenient we simply text him back or call and he is very accommodating of our schedule. He is quick to respond to any concerns we have even if it is not at our scheduled time. Marty K has gone above and beyond to help us get rid of our clover mite issue. He takes his time to make sure he is doing a good job, and that he doesn't miss a single crack. He always leaves everything as clean as when he got there and wants to make sure we are more then happy with our services. He makes sure we have check up calls in case we are still having issues, and even drove all the way to Vegas to get a special spray for our house. Matt came today as a follow-up on my quarterly treatment since he wasn't able to get inside to treat the last time. He was fantastic, listening to my issue about scorpions and doing on beyond the call of duty in saturation a wide berth around the outside of the house and concentrated treatment on the inside where we are having the problems.
