We live in a newer neighborhood and everyone told us we would get scorpions. In almost two years we've only seen one, it was dead and never even made it in the house. Also nice that they are locally owned, so it's someone who cares about their reputation and the type of work they do. They aren't a summer sales or some sales based pest control business.

The first time was approx 3 yrs ago. I had some sort of critter living in my walk-in closet that chewed thru a $600 pair of leather boots which I kept on a shelf. They DID NOT find or eradicate whatever it was. I had to wait it out till the critter voluntarily left. That cost me $120 and was guaranteed tho I never received ANY refund. Next time was about a month ago. I was living with WORMS which crawled around my front porch every night after dark. Again no success in getting rid of this gross infestation. Unfortunately I'm an elderly female with a very weak stomach and merely looking at the gross disgusting worms often left me actually vomiting (that's also gross!). Bug Blasters sprayed to no avail. ($67 this time) That happens I'm sure a lot but here's why my experience with them finds me leaving a review. I never blamed BB for what happened; no accusations at all BUT following the treatment, my beloved dog, a shihtzu, almost overnight completely lost both her eyesight and hearing. This is totally breaking my heart as thru out the day and night, I lead her to her food dish and the front door. I walk beside her as she bumps into everything. If you're an animal lover, you know what this nightmare is like tho hopefully you've never experienced it. Tears are flowing just writing about it. I'm being 100% upfront with you all and will say that my vet doesn't think the worm treatment caused my pup's disabilities. I just find it strange that it happened overnight instead of gradually. After comprehensive research, I called BB and asked for the name of their spray. It took 3 calls for them to say "Defend". But I needed to know the ACTIVE INGREDIENTS so the poison control center could advise me. Despite repeated phone calls with me BEGGING, they wouldn't do this research for me or even call me back. IS THIS THE KIND OF COMPANY YOU WISH TO HIRE? I THINK NOT. Apologies for the length of this review but I want you to have ALL THE FACTS that made our lives a NIGHTMARE.

Best Customer Service…read more I called to schedule an appointment to have my parents home sprayed. The woman I spoke with was very nice and had great customer service skills. I explained to her what was needed and she had a service technician out to us the next day. It was incredible. I thought we would be a couple weeks out at least. We were so pleased with the work done and how quickly it was done. And their rate was a lot lower than we thought it would be. We will definitely be using them again. We moved to St. George 3 years ago and thought we were controlling the occasional insects inside and out. But recently we used a Quail Block (bird seed glued together with molasses) which attracted a quail covey each day. Unfortunately, with all the recent rain last month, the block dissolved and flowed down our hill behind the house and made excellent cockroach food. Last night we had literally had hundreds of cock roaches; all sizes. I used up two spray cans just to hold them off till this morning. I found a local Exterminator, Bulwark Exterminating in Saint George UT, using Google search, found their name on the Better Business Bureau http://www.bbb.org/utah/business-reviews/pest-control-services/bulwark-exterminating-in-st-george-ut-22014039 and favorable reviews in Yelp.com I called Saturday morning and got an appointment that day for 3pm. Later, I got a call from the technician, and asked if it was ok to come at noon, instead. Fine with me! Kyler Forgie was the technician and arrived in a clean looking truck. He reviewed the problem areas, explained what he was going to do, answering my questions satisfactorily about how the spray would be safe for birds and lizards. He went right to work. I felt very confident that he knew just what to do as he sprayed the house perimeter. And as he examined the huge pile of dead and dying cockroaches from last night, he investigated the sources of the pests. He further sprayed the entire hill which is steep, covered with rock, boulders and cactus. He especially sprayed and soaked the area with quail block residue. I feel very confident Kyler's work will cure the problem. Also, he said he would come back in a few days to follow-up with another spray application to be sure the cockroaches won't be a problem. If that wasn't enough, he found a scorpion nest under a wooden bench with the largest scorpion I've ever seen. I'm talking a 3 inch long and 1 inch wide. Surrounding it was a dozen eggs and other large scorpions. And furthermore he found a couple of black widow spiders under another bench. All taken care of. I'm sure that will stop the occasional scorpion and spider that finds its way into the house every few months. So, I'm sure if you read the above, you'll know how extremely satisfied I am with Bulwark Exterminating of Saint George and Kylar Forgie. He's a very nice young man that takes pride in his company and work. I highly recommend Kylar and his company for any exterminating needs you may have. read more

We have had Marty as our technician for several years. He is always so friendly and helpful. Last year we had a major problem with wolf spiders under our in-ground trampoline. At our last service, I forgot to ask him to spray there again, Marty remembered this and did a heavy spray under and around it. He is wonderful at asking about what bugs we've seen and where to make sure he get everything. He also sprays in our sprinkler boxes, our pool cover box and anywhere the little bugs will try and hide. I never have had to ask him to do it he just does! We are moving next month to a neighboring town about 40 minutes away so at our last spray I had mentioned this. He was so kind and asked me if I wanted him to let the office know and get the contract but on hold until our new home is built. I had no idea that they also serviced that area. Kylar at Bulwark is absolutely THE BEST. He is attentive to all my needs and my questions and he goes above and beyond what is expected of him - on a regular basis. He is friendly, patient, courteous, thorough, and excellent at what he does. We lived in a house for a year that was seriously roach-infested when we moved in. Kylar was so fantastic at keeping my fears at bay by being readily available as needed. We are going into our third year (and third house) using Kylar at Bulwark and I would recommend him to ANYONE. If you are able to request someone to be your tech, ask for Kylar. He knows his stuff and is full of helpful information in addition to making himself available. I have been a customer of Bulwark Exterminating, LLC For over two years now and have been very satisfied with their service. Most recently their technician, Tyler answered questions my wife had and did a good job in protecting our home making sure that we were satisified with his work. I also had requested that the house next door be treated. I recommended Bulwark to the new neighbors and as they had to leave town to prepare for the move into their new homeI agreed to have Bulwark treat their home for them.. I accompanied Tyler through their home and was impressed with the job he did. Ryan, from Bulwark, is our tech. He has been absolutely fabulous!! We've tried three other pest control companies. Some companies send a different tech almost every time and none of them have done as good of a job as Ryan. We have not had any problems with pests or rodents ever since he's been coming to take care of us. He is friendly and cordial and he even helps bring in groceries and offers help with whatever he can. I cannot say enough good things about him! I have zero complaints! I am just grateful to have him and have no worries about pests! We've also had Crosby come out and help. He has also been Awesome!! We really appreciate Ryan and Crosby! Max is our professional best control guy! He always lets us know ahead of time when he is coming out and asked us if there's anything in particular we have concerns about. He always leaves us a text message when he leaves and let us know what he did what he saw and asked us if there's anything else we would like him to come back for. Any time we see something in between services that is concerning to us they are happy to come out and fix it . We have used Bulwark for over 12 years and are very happy with their services. We will never change pest control services. We will use them as long as we own a home which of course will be for the rest of our lives. read more

Marty has been our technician for over a year and has always been friendly, efficient, and professional. We have used the company for longer than that. We have a dog, and while I often don't have time to get her toys put away on the porch where he treats, he will take care of them for me and uses pet-safe materials. We also receive an email the day he is coming and a text when he has left. If something comes up and a stray bug gets through once in awhile, I call the company, they are back out within a reasonable timeframe, and the problem is resolved, free of charge. i am very pleased with Bulwark's service, and specifically with Marty. read more

I've been using Bulwark for at least nine years and during that time I've had two technicians. Both young men have been excellent: always arriving when scheduled, always polite and neatly dressed, always efficient and completing their task with no need to make any requests for a call back. My technician is Michael Tyler Leavitt and I strongly encourage he receive a monthly tip. Recently, when he arrives there seems to be other workmen in the area and he has been forced to wait for available parking which I'm sure has disrupted his schedule. Bad, bad, bad, bad, bad. We scheduled this while out of town. Gave a code to the electronic deadbolt. Ring camera shows Christopher Erickson comes to the house, puts in the code. Then, without entering or spraying anything, types the code in again to lock the door and sprays the exterior of the house. No spraying inside despite that being what was paid for. Worse yet, he did not fully close the door, so the deadbolt could not engage and the house was left unlocked. At least a half dozen phone calls and texts to every supervisor promising they would send someone out to lock the door and no one came. read more

Everyone has a bad day, that is to be expected. But in the service sector, you are not allowed to show the customer that you are having a bad day. The tech showed up late, got sassy with my wife, and refused to spray behind the couch because we had not pulled it away from the wall. Now I understand that it is not the responsibility of the exterminator to move our household furniture. However, there are better ways to handle the situation then to get snippy. I hope he does not treat other customers with such behavior. We are now stuck in a contract with a company that I no longer want to support. :-( read more

We are very pleased with our Bulwark Pest Control Technician Marty K. He is very professional and helpful when he visits us. He always lets us know at least 24 hours in advance of his arrival and if that is inconvenient we simply text him back or call and he is very accommodating of our schedule. He is quick to respond to any concerns we have even if it is not at our scheduled time. Marty K has gone above and beyond to help us get rid of our clover mite issue. He takes his time to make sure he is doing a good job, and that he doesn't miss a single crack. He always leaves everything as clean as when he got there and wants to make sure we are more then happy with our services. He makes sure we have check up calls in case we are still having issues, and even drove all the way to Vegas to get a special spray for our house. And after all of that, he also gave us a Christmas card. I would recommend him to anyone. read more

Matt came today as a follow-up on my quarterly treatment since he wasn't able to get inside to treat the last time. He was fantastic, listening to my issue about scorpions and doing on beyond the call of duty in saturation a wide berth around the outside of the house and concentrated treatment on the inside where we are having the problems. I have been using Bulwark exterminating service for many years. I have had many people ask me why I am unwilling to try anyone else- this is what I tell them- Ryan, the technician, that sprays my house is amazing. He goes way above and beyond every time he sprays. I trust him. I have left my dogs out on accident before and he makes sure they get in the house before he sprays. I am not sure how Bulwark does it, but they hire only the best! We have had Aaron Jobst now as our third technician in many years. He is polite, thorough and so helpful. We just moved to St. George from up North (Draper) and we had no idea that St. George had cockroaches. We called Bulwark Exterminating because we had seen a black widow. Kylar came out and explained to us everything we could possibly see down here in the South. As I said, we did not know there were cockroaches, and thankfully we have yet to see any! Since I moved into my new home in 2018, I've used Bulwark and have had the same exterminator- Michael Tyler Leavitt. He's very friendly, conscientious and proactive. No bugs or scorpions get in my house, even though I live in a desert and was in a construction zone for the first few years. When I do see an anthill sprouting outside, I call it in and he takes care of it between scheduled visits. I highly recommend Bulwark and Mr. Leavitt to keep your home pest free! read more
