i requested a one time spray and got a quote for the spay in what I thought was a good deal, upon reading the contract I seen I was going to be charged monthly for quarterly service. when I called and asked I spoke to a rep who put me on hold for awhile to get a supervisor and the supervisor came back to the phone with a dialect it made it hard to understand, but in a nut shell the price jumped way , way up for one time service if I did not take the quarterly plan that I would be charged monthly for that was also huge expense almost if not more than the initial spray. so in my opinion this company is making money from people tat are not getting service between quarterly visits then people are paying almost the same if not more than the 1st initial visit. The back office needs to revamp this issue. It would be better if they came out quarterly and charged you then not monthly and price to reflect less than the 1st initial visit. read more

03/26/20 We are thankful that Bulwark Pest Control is continuing to service their customers during this COVID-19 situation. Our service tech Toinia, is the only tech that we want coming to our house. Toinia is amazingly thoughtful, thorough and considerate. She loves what she does and she loves her customers! Today when Toinia came to service our property, there was a UPS package at my front door, which faces the street. I rarely write reviews and hardly ever give a bad one but I have had enough of this company. Before buying my house I called to get a quote. I told them I was not closing on the house for some time. I got constant calls, texts and emails from them trying to get me to sign a contract and schedule an appointment. I told them numerous times that I did not own the house and to stop calling me. Then I got a text where they set up an appointment to come to my house when I didn't even own the house yet. I finally told them I found another company and did not want to do business with them. Now, a month later I am again getting calls, emails and texts to set up an appointment. Earlier this week I told the person who called that I had a terrible experience with them and I found someone else and to take me off of their contact list. I did not want to do business with a company like them. I got another call this morning which I did not answer. So, I blocked them from calling me again. I am using a local company who responds in a good amount of time. Bulwark is not - they have offices all over the country so if you ask to speak to the person who called you they say that they can not connect you to that person. A horrible company and I will never use them!!! read more

I recently started noticing more and more house centipedes and due to old plumbing and a recent house flood we noticed more roly polys I figured it may be because suddenly there was more for them to feed on and so I normally dont mind spiders and them so much because I see them as natures pest control, but then I started seeing and killing scorpions and then a black widow, this WAS A PROBLEM, because I have small parrots and small dogs. I called and explained what was going on and the owner told me what my real problem was and reassured me that they'd handle it and that it was safe for me and my mini zoo *lol. He was very informative and sent someone out fast, no more sleepless nights worrying that a scorpion or anything poisonous might wander in and hurt any of my animals. They also guarantee their service and offer in between treatments if the problem persists, I highly recommend them and will be a returning customer. read more

My new home had not been occupied for a few months when I moved in. The first night in my house, a scorpion in the hallway. As time went on, more than a few spiders. A week later my son visited and saw another scorpion in the hall. A Bulwark gentlemen coincidentally came to my door, soon after the sighting of the second scorpion, selling their services. I generally don't have much to do with unsolicited attempts to sell, but this guy was different. Pleasant, professional appearance, very knowledgeable and not pushy. He made me a written offer and that was it, it was up to me to call. Which I did about a week later and signed up for the annual plan. Long story short...they came out and did an Excellent job with great results. My pest problem was done in short order and I live on an acre lot with natural vegetation. But here's the cherry on the sundae and tells you all you need to know about these folks... a few weeks after the initial treatment I discovered the hard way that I had a bee problem. They had burrowed a hive in the ground. I called Bulwark and they scheduled a "follow-up" visit to take care of the bees no charge. Being impatient, I went to True Value and bought a can of bee spray and thought I "took care" of the problem. Called Bulwark and said "No need to come out." The rep said, "No we'd like to come out to make sure all is OK. No charge." Well he came the next day and sure enough the problem was much bigger than I thought and he took care of the bees. So Bulwark cared about the customer so much, they went against my advice and came out, for free as part of my package and solved my problem. You don't often see that level of customer care anymore. Also a point to note, Scott, the young man who completed the work, was excellent and professional. Highly, highly recommend this company. read more

Bulwark Exterminating quickly returned my call and even made arrangements to come out same day so I wouldn't have to take off any more work. Brad was an excellent technician! Today I was informed the technician would be out, when I got home no one had shown up, I called in, they said they did not have the proper equipment to take care of the gophers and grasshoppers eating our vegetable garden. This was the 4th. time in 3 weeks this has happened. It has happened numerous times over the past 3 years (shame on me). I have spoken with at least a dozen supervisors over the past year, and all they can do is blow smoke. Today got better when I came in to the kitchen after I "Fired" them, to get some water for the bird bath, I turned the water on, and saw something moving, I turned the light on, and a huge tarantula was in the sink. I have more horror truths from the past few years, this is enough, I wish I could give a negative star. read more

We signed up in May for service every two months figuring we would get our first service in June or July. Never saw anyone! We finally called to see what was the problem. They said they've tried to call us 7 times with no answer. I don't believe any calls were made because our phone never registered any incoming calls nor did they ever leave a voice mail. They had our address and email address. What kind of outfit NEVER tries the mail or email when contact cannot be made by phone? After waiting 2.5 months for service, they tried to remedy the situation by scheduling service three weeks out even though they had a man servicing the Cottonwood area the next day! She said his schedule was already too full to fit us in the next day. We've already waited 2.5 months for service. I would say good customer service would be to pay the poor guy an hour of OT. That 30-40 minutes of pay would have brought a happy customer and a happy employee with a little more cash in his pocket. Now you have an unhappy customer who will never use your service and one hot and tired employee who wishes he could buy a cold soft drink for the ride home. read more

We needed an evaluation for termites and possibly a start of the season treatment. I called Bulwark and received a lot of information about their service. Scott arrived on time and determined that we didn't have termites but had been invaded with carpenter ants - the good and the bad. We asked if he could do a regular pest treatment while he was here and he gladly did that. Scott was really pleasant and knowledgeable about what he was doing. Don't hesitate to call them. Similar to a prior review, the initial visit went great and they did show a second time (no charge) however when the scheduled maintenance was a no show and then to call and set a date they were again a NO SHOW. When calling the excuse was there was an "error". We also where reminded that they are a 5 Star business and they take Customer Service seriously. We cannot recommend Bulwark Exterminating and found their business practices lacking. read more
