Tacos were so delicious! Must try the fish or shrimp. The stuffed chiles were soooooo good! You just HAVE to try it, it's so different.. the mango margarita was much needed, tasted like real mango but it could've been a tad bit stronger. Service was awesome! Fast, attentive. Server was funny and sweet. Can't wait to come back one day. Their wall is full of dollar bills that people have left behind. They offer you permanent pens and tape so you can leave your mark! Pretty cool.

At the Ensenada cruise port there will be busses lined up to transport cruise guests into town. Remember to bring cash. You can take the bus or choose to walk just a short distance along the walkway leading into town. From the bus drop off it'll be on the south side of the main shopping street. Wonderful service and one of the best fish tacos! Tables inside or out on the sidewalk patio with umbrellas. Tortillas were freshly made and fish perfectly crispy contrast soaked up that acidity from the lime. Crisp lettuce and juicy tomatoes. Homemade salsa takes it over the top. A great spot to try!

During our Carnival Cruise in Ensenada, we wanted to try out one of the taco spots in town. This place was super packed, so we knew we went to the right spot. Our server greeted us immediately, with a big smile on his face which made us feel very welcomed. We decided to order 3 tacos a piece (Asada, fish, and shrimp) with a side of canned sodas and the meal was actually pretty cheap in comparison to most places we've visited. All of the tacos were filled to the rim with delectably fresh meats and veggies. There were a ton of taped dollar bills with names scribbled on them (I'm guessing a restaurant tradition), so we decided to mark our names on the wall as well. This place was so delicious, very affordable and offers some really wonderful service.

Took a topless bus tour in Ensenada and was recommended by our guide to try this place out. Upon entering, we were greeted and quickly seated at a table. We started with a mango margarita while we looked over the menu. The margarita was ok, they use fresh mangoes but it was a bit sweet and too thick for my liking. I know fish tacos were "historically invented" and originated in Ensenada but I don't eat fish so I opted for a veggie taco and my sister had their fish tacos. Lol She raved about how fresh the fish was and how perfectly it was prepared, unlike some other places we've been to back home. I wouldn't have expected anything less since Ensenada is THEE place to get the best fish tacos! My veggie taco was just as tasty! It was basically sautéed bell peppers on a corn tortilla but paired with their housemade salsas, it was bursting with flavor and left me wanting more! Service was excellent, it wasn't busy at the time and our food came out quick. There is a FREE restroom located in the back of the restaurant for customers, so be sure to use it if necessary, before exploring Ensenada! lol

Thank you Yelp for helping us find this place! We came for an afternoon off our cruise ship ... in search of tacos :) I had 2 fish and 1 carne tacos along with chips and guacamole. Definitely yummy! Tried a piece of hubby's chicken taco and it was yummy too (seemed like dark meat cubes). The gentleman who took our order was kind. A LOT of street vendors coming by every few seconds... which was a bit frustrating having to say no every time. They mostly left people who sat in the back part of the restaurant alone.. but our outside tables were definitely impacted!

It looked like there was some of a wait time, but it turned out they did have a table for 2 available. The wait time is mostly for large parties. If you do come with a large party they have seating in the back just note it will take awhile. By large I mean 11 people (2 parties of 11 people showed up when I was there). The food. So many yummy options I had a hard time picking. I ended up ordering the combination plate as it included a little bit of everything: your choice of either green or red chilaquiles, machaca (shredded beef not the dry one), egg, beans and some fries. I also ordered fresh orange juice as I can't say no to fresh juices. I ATE EVERYTHING! It was so good I couldn't stop eating even when I knew I was full LOL. Side note def get the coffee as it is really good. We actually ended up buying the coffee they bought with us called La Negrita and is a couple of minutes away from the restaurant. Plus a local coffee vendor. Staff is super friendly and service is fast (for smaller parties). Place is clean and does have parking in the back. Definitely recommend this place for breakfast. If I am ever back in the area I am definitely coming back!

It's not hard to find, but unlike so any other options, it's not loud or flashy. We weren't ushered in by some guy on the street promising "the best" of anything. It's small, but clean.. you order at the counter.. my wife and I were the only gringos in there, and we don't speak Spanish. We were quickly presented with a sample plate of all the meats available for their tacos. The wife and I each got a Birria taco and I also got a chicken taco with some of the best Mole sauce I've ever had. They had a table set up in back with all the fixings and salsas you could ask for and the tacos came with beans and rice. We grabbed a bottle of water from the cooler, and the whole meal came to $13 with a tip!!! I mean, that's an unbelievable value for your money. The tacos were incredible. The beans and rice were delicious and the corn tortillas were homemade and some of the best we've ever had. The wife and I often use Yelp! to find places exactly like this, and once again, it did not disappoint. If you're in Ensenada do yourself a favor and skip all the hype spots and go find this place for some amazing food at incredible prices!!

Thus we made a point to stop by for food during our second cruise stop in Ensenada, 4 days later. We discovered the large crowds were not in line waiting, but were instead enjoying their ceviche and other cold seafood while standing up. It made for a festive atmosphere, definitely ramping up the enjoyment of really great tasting seafood. The food stall is located facing the main road of Ensenada (walking distance from the cruise port) and is separated into two parts: the front serving seafood tostadas and the back serving cocktails and aquachiles. Each had different lines, with a common guy accepting payment after delivery. They have been doing this for a while (1981?) and things are efficient. I wanted one thing, which was the mixed cocktail with all the seafood available (campechano, a word I've come to love since moving to the LA area). They have 4 sizes from chico ($105) to jumbo ($360). The seafood mix is diced together ahead of time to save on time, and are mostly diced pretty fine. The mix is prepared fresh though, and was ready in about a minute. It was excellent, refreshing and just the right amount for me. I had wanted to try the seafood cocktail again from La Guerrerense (another nearby famous seafood stand), so that was our first stop during our second visit to Ensenada in 5 days. We then visited other sites in the area, saving El Guero for the end before we headed back to the ship. As expected the cocktail from Guerrerense was very good, but this version from El Guero was even better....better selection of seafood, and more finely mixed to give a better representation of the different textures of the freshness. That would make it the best seafood cocktail I've ever enjoyed.
