And at her age tends to two adult children in their mid 30's that have mental health issues. So I bought her a new fridge because hers was only maintaining temps in the low 40's. And I bought and installed a used dish washer for her. I just needed a drain line and hot water connection installed under the sink. I asked Matt if he could just give me a ball park figure for the job. I sent him pictures of the existing plumbing and he quoted me between $400 and $600. I thought it was a little high. But I was willing to pay it just to get her a washer. I did however, text Matt and asked if there was anyway he could keep as close to $400 as possible. He texted back and said "if your under some budget restraints, maybe you should call another plumber". Well, at the time I couldn't find another plumber to do work in union. So i told him it wasnt a matter of money. I has plenty of funds. It was just a request to do whatever he could to maybe cut a corner here or there to maybe save a couple of buck. So what does he do yesterday when he was SCHEDULED to do the work? Doesnt show! Doesnt call! Doesnt return my texts or my calls asking if he got hung up some where and when he might show up. Thats just B.S. and if I wher anyone reading this review id steer clear of this clown. P.S. I did find another local plumber that was out today and quoted $300 for the same work.

Our sump pump empties into a pipe that is *supposed* to go to the city storm sewer. It was…read moreclogged, so I had AHS come out to rod it. Well, it turned out to be a huge mess. The people who installed it in the 1970s did it ALL WRONG! Fortunately, I was able to work from home on these days, and Dan was able to show me exactly what was going on. He had an awesome device that not only shows the inside of the pipe, but also lets him track its location from above ground. The underground pipe took a right turn into the neighbor's yard, under their driveway, and into the *next* neighbor's yard, before hitting a blockage. After talking over a variety of options, I decided to have it fixed right (running a new line to the street). Yes, it was expensive, but reasonable for the work they did. My main point is that he laid out the different options and made his recommendation. He didn't pressure me, saying that he would do it however I wanted. He knew his stuff, and the work was top-notch quality. Even the city inspector pulled me aside and told me that Dan and his crew is known in the area for doing the job right.

He said that he'd have to check "because of supply chain issues" - what he could get. He asked for me to text him my name and number and he'd get back to me. Attached photos are the complete text conversation - I had to laugh because it took longer from him to write what he did than to just tell me what mfg/model he was quoting. Did he really think I'd just approve an estimate, without him seeing the job and allow him to put in any heater he wanted to without question? C'mon man!

He is so much more. I called him in a bit of an emergency; trying to clean up some issues with a farmhouse I just listed for sale that had trouble with contractors not finishing their commitment. He gave me a reasonable quote (simple things) immediately within a day, and then finished my requests with more care and less time (and within less than a week service) than I have ever had with such services. This is the first time that I have good luck with this kind of profession in the last 40 years. To be sure, I plan to hire him if I end up keeping the farm in the distant future if it does not sell to my fair liking; he would do all the flooring to my family's taste. I trust him this much. He is a worker, not a schmoozer. Any time I need fixing on walls, doors etc. he will be my first contact. He is excellent.
