Because of the placement, I had to be topless during the appointment, which already puts you in a vulnerable position and requires a high level of professionalism and respect. During the session, Dan tried to "make me feel better" by tickling my breasts. There was absolutely no reason for that kind of physical contact. I did not ask for it, and it was highly inappropriate and unprofessional. At 18, I didn't know how to react in the moment. I felt uncomfortable and frozen, so I didn't speak up. On top of that, he added an entire additional section to the tattoo that I did not ask for and that was never clearly discussed or approved beforehand. A tattoo is permanent, and no artist should add elements without explicit consent. I haven't reached out about my concerns until now because I felt disgusted and didn't know how to process what happened. Looking back, I realize how important boundaries and consent are in situations where clients are exposed and vulnerable. I'm sharing this so others understand that professionalism and clear consent should always be the standard in this industry. I would not recommend this shop to anyone.

It's a one man studio so there isn't the typical drama of other places and Bud is very reliable. He's done at least 50 hours on my husband and I and we don't go anywhere else. He's usually booked out a ways so you can't usually do walk ins, but he's worth the wait! I've noticed over the years that the vast majority of his work is done by word of mouth, scheduled in advance, because he is so booked and not usually available on a whim.

I have many other tattoos and have been to many different parlors in Virginia, Philadelphia, North Carolina, Washington DC, and Portland. NH Custom Tattoo is my favorite spot. Jake works quickly, is down to earth, nice, but most importantly he has real talent. I had a tattoo covering a quarter of my forearm and needed to fill in some empty space. The studio itself is great very clean and each artist has there own room to work in. Unlike other tattoo studios where they have you exposed for everyone to see. Here if you are getting some work done in a personal area you are in a private room where you wont have any strangers looking at your personal bits. The studio is very comfortable and clean I can not say that enough. Tariq who did my ink was very professional and down to earth. He did a fantastic job on my work and I would recommend him to anyone looking for some work, whether your a first timer or experienced veteran. The studio is easy to find off of Elm St on Orange St. I can't wait to get some more loot to get some additional work done there.
