I usually do not write reviews, but my experience was a unique one. First let me say the front desk was very welcoming & perfect along with my artists & I love my new tattoo. Highly recommend! The reason for my review? There was a female cashing out before me. She was so rude to the front desk. She said her tattoo was perfect but not worth $125. She said, "I'll pay $50 & that's it". Front Desk replied, "you read the tattoo release form & signed it and it clearly states on top in red "minimum is $125". She said, "you didn't tell me it was $125". Front Desk replied "the artist wrote the estimate $125 to $150 & you initialed it. I am assuming you can read where you checked in agreement". The customer said, "your only getting $50 and you're a fucking bitch". Front Desk replied, "I really hate having to be nice all the time, this isn't bargain basement, and the price is $125 because if you don't pay it, I have to and why should I pay $75 towards your tattoo". The client's boyfriend stepped in & asked his girlfriend to stop screaming as she was threatening to "1" Star review the business on all social media. I offered some legal advice & this is for all small business or people who want to stick the small business service industries, it is illegal, you will be arrested, and small business can sue for damages if you 1 star with no just cause as this person was threatening to do. If you see the "1" star review, go up she should be the one that gets the "1" start and thrown in jail for being a thief. Hopefully, they reported her. read more

The moment I walked through the door into this brightly lit very clean tattoo shop I was immediately greeted by Cathy. I had noticed the new shop and was looking for the right place to get a tattoo in honor for my dad. After showing Cathy the idea I had in mind she immediately knew exactly who to recommend for what I wanted. It was a busy day and the artist known as Anthony was busy at the time I came in which was perfectly understandable. I was told she would call when I could come back to have a consultation with him. I quickly got a call to come back to the shop. We discussed the idea he had for the tattoo which I was unsure what he was thinking until I saw what his plan was and now I am truly happy with the end result. Everything about this experience was fantastic from the cleanliness of the shop and the friendliness of everyone I had the pleasure of interacting with. When it came to physically getting the tattoo done he was very detail oriented and very patient with the sensitivity of my skin. We ended up having to finish in 2 sessions for safety reasons which i appreciated. I will be sending everyone I know because there is absolutely no way anyone could be disappointed getting their tattoo done here. In fact at a later date than above I came back to continue my sleeve with a wolf tattoo my younger brother and I decided to get together. Both were done to what each individual wanted. Mayhem Tattoo is one of the best shops around! I've been searching for an artist who is very particular in their line work and within search I came across Mayhem tattoo. I was beyond happy when they paired me up with Artist, Randy. Randy has exceptional line work and is definitely an expert in Traditional tattoos which are the only type of tattoo I have. I've been to others shops and I find that they do tattoos quickly and don't focus on exactly what the customers want. But Randy completely changed my worries into wonders with his skills, intelligence and compassion for others and his work. I've never been happier to have such a talented and amazing artist working on my skin. Mayhem not only provides you with beautiful tattoos but welcomes everyone not matter who comes through those doors. Cathy is the wonderful woman at the front desk who provides the best service and information when making an appointment or coming in for a consultation. She's a pro and also has some sick tattoos! Honestly overall Mayhem is clean, friendly, good service and is extremely welcoming and each artist has their own specialty and does absolutely amazing work. I got my first tattoo at Mayhem Ink Tattoo and when I heard that they opened their second shop in Salem NH I just had to check it out. The shop is large, spacious, with private booths, and kept very clean. I was welcomed the minute I walked in and within minutes my artist Katie came over. She had the drawing all ready, we made a minor size adjustment "go big or go home", and the stencil was on within 30 minutes and to be honest I would of been fine waiting 2hrs after the nightmare I had at Pheasant Lane mall tattoo shop, $500 later and stencil still was right! Tattoo came out amazing and I will definitely be back for more. I read the review about the mask and Katie had one on. She said even before covid they wear to avoid getting splash back. Hopefully the 3 start review will be changed now that they are finally reporting "mask do not work" and if you have not heard look it up. Democrats and Liberals are finally getting on the same page with the science. But if you feel safer with one on please wear but don't judge others for not wearing one. read more

Extremely highly recommend Mayhem Tattoo for anyone looking! A friend and I were looking to get some small line art tattoos last month and ended up making appointments at another local shop that I won't name here... it was a complete disaster from the second we walked in the door. From not even being greeted and ignored for 15 minutes to the artist mocking our choices then taking a 45 minute 'smoke break' before we just left. Ended up walking in to Mayhem and were welcomed in! Everyone was so friendly and helpful. They helped us complete our designs to exactly what we wanted. I got 2 small line arts and my friend got her first ink ever and a lollipop! They all came out perfect and we even went back last night with another friend in tow for her first and we each got a little something extra too!! So far between us we have sat with 4 of their artists for 7 pieces and all have been amazing. I can't recommend them enough!!! read more

I started with a free consultation with Katie, and two minutes in I just wanted to book now with her. I am so very glad I did too. From the front desk manager 's great personality to my experience from start to finish with Katie, I already want to go back to experience working with her and the shop again soon. Katie's talent, cool relaxing personality, and her creative ideas to make my family tattoo even more us made me grateful I found Mayhem Tattoo. Her level of care and attention to detail for wanting it to be exactly what I wanted, which sadly surprised me a bit with today's world, but it was clear to see she has the passion in what she does and the heart to deliver for the person in her room. I am writing this review because artists at Mayhem Salem NH are so talented & sincerely care about every tattoo that walks out our door. When I started receiving tattoos I thought "they are just tracing a stencil" not ever thinking of how stressful it can be just working with the public but creating art while the person is waiting and not understanding the steps. Everyone's skin is different & takes ink differently. Everyone's pain tolerance is different so remember the stiller you sit & allow the artist to focus the better your tattoo will be. When you think "I can do that" well I challenge you to try just taking a simple drawing with a piece of trace paper and with a pin trace it without lifting your pin and if you do keep so it doesn't show stop and start points. I found Mayhem when I had a rambling idea for a tattoo of my own design, with sort of unspecified vision, that I wanted before a trip. I was excited but had trouble describing what I was after. I knew I wanted it to be added to later. I showed up to my free consult with with Katie. She asked many questions to get to the root of what I wanted and was dedicated to bringing my vision to life. On the day of that first session she was considerate and professional. Always checking if the colors, the size, the placement etc. was what I wanted. What an incredible experience! After searching for a place to accept 2 walk-ins on a sunday, we found Mayhem. It was our anniversary and Erin took great care of us! She designed each of our tattoos on the spot and created two designs that were more than we could've imagined. Because we lived so far away Erin made sure to get us both tattoo, even though that meant moving around a client and staying late. Erin was phenomenal both in her tattoo skills and personality. We had great conversation while recieving expert ink. We will be back. Not only to get our pieces finished, but for all our foreseeable pieces. I'm so grateful to have found this treasure.
