Can't thank "Justin" enough!! Nothing worse than finding "dirty water" in your basement at 6 pm. Justin showed up within one hour and was ready to attack the issue. It ended up not to be any easy fix. On the South Hill where BIG OLD beautiful trees are well set into the ground with their roots well dug in -- they can mess up drainage. Justin rolled up his sleeves, put his hat on backwards, put his special gloves on and sent his live camera down the clogged drain. He then drew back his camera and sent his "Big Bertha Snake" down the main drain -- over and over -- removing large bundles of roots wrapped around "Big Betha" several times. Justin was not giving up anytime soon!! Through his tenacity and knowledge of the South Hill trees -- and "Big Bertha" grinding away -- the blockage was clear of the old South Hill root system -- for now. Can't thank Justin enough for his outstanding work...and kudos to "Big Bertha" too!!! read more

They did it that day, but they put in a commercial tank for a residential project; no breakdown of costs beforehand; and a price tag of $4400!!! I would give them a 5 star rating for promptness and employee performance, but if I could I would give them a zero on value. I was quoted $1,600 for replacement of 2 toilets. Without doing any homework on toilet prices, I said ok. Assuming with that price I was getting top of the line power flusher toilets. BIG MISTAKE. Husband plugged new toilet upon first use. In checking on the internet, I found out that these toilets are the BOTTOM OF THE LINE toilets sold by Home Depot for $149/each. What kind of hourly fee are they charging. They are scammers. This company came out and installed water meters on all 60 units here. They cut off pipe insulation and pieces of water lines during the install. The problem is they never reinstalled the insulation or cleaned up the pieces or insulation, they just left in on the ground scattered everywhere. Numerous people had the same issue and had to have someone else reinstall the squirting on their units. When asked about fixing these issues they were rude and dismissive. Looked up plumbers on Yelp and decided to check out Bulldog. Their website was really easy to use and once I submitted a request, received a prompt phone call the next morning. A technician was scheduled two days later and then I received a text with his photo and interests the morning of, which made the connection to the plumber personal. David was awesome, friendly, and professional and he called me when he was 20 min away from the scheduled time. He diagnosed the problem immediately and finished his work in 15 minutes. A+! Definitely recommend. Appointment the same day, received text confirming appointment time, address and name/photo of the technician so I knew who to expect. I received an estimate first which was reasonable. Erick ( and another guy who was in training, sorry didn't get his name) used high powered hydro jets to thoroughly clean the kitchen drain. We then discovered a blockage where they determined the drain under the crawl space was like a roller coaster. :( Revised estimate given which was $$ but considering the several hours of work, also reasonable. Appointment made for first thing the next morning and they replaced three pieces of pipe and re- strapped them at the proper grade. Poorly organized! No mail delivery for 3 plus days, no garbage/recycling pick up for 3 plus days. No exit or entrance for 5 plus houses. We are a working family with 3 children in school, 3 vehicles that come and go regularly, several times daily due to work and school alone. I personally spoke with both a member of the construction team/Bull Dog Rooter worker and the project manager of Bulldog Rooter, I was advised by the construction team, absolutely no entrance to my house with my vehicle. I also reached out to the project manager of Bulldog Rooter, they simply stated they provided the necessary info to the neighborhood. Quote from the notice left on my door mid-afternoon on 5/28/24- "We will be doing some construction work in your neighborhood 5/29 thru 5/31. Road closure". Our complete dead end/cul de sac is closed thru 5/31/2024 and most likely the weekend due to cement being laid Friday at some point- per Bulldog Rooter. Notice of upcoming work was dated for 5/24/2024 but was not placed on my door until 5/28/24 mid- afternoon. Notice did not state the extensiveness of the closure or a start time. Many of the houses have vehicles trapped in the cul de sac currently. Fortunately, one neighbor approved cars to be parked on their property, past the construction site if you were able to get your vehicle out prior to the start of closure. Proper notice, not the bare minimum would have stated the need to get any necessary vehicles out prior to start of construction. Not just 3 signs, which were blown down stating road closure. No other helpful information. Almost feels like an evacuation hazard and medical emergency hazard. No ambulance can currently access the 5 homes past the construction site. If you want out of this cul de sac, regardless of the reason you will be required to drive through a neighbor's yard, the neighbor that so graciously is allowing the vehicles to park on their property. Mike from Bulldog Rooter rocks! He's efficient and thorough. Not to mentioned all geared up for any possibility. Although he was able to address the immediate problem, thanks to his perseverance, we found damage that has been occurring over many years (well before I bought this home). Chapter 2 will be more extensive, as we found tree root invasion to the main sewer exit, very near the connection to the city sewer system.
