We immediately were greeted and had our dog with and they were more than welcoming. Ended up being a nice day so we sat out on the patio. Was perfect. They even allowed us to move the tables around as we wanted to be in the sun and had a larger group and wanted to utilize two tables and not just one. They were so accommodating. We all had beers and I had a cocktail and all were good. We then ate as well and I loved my Caesar salad. My dad loved his wings. The rest of the group got the lil Bulldog burger. For some reason when they read the menu they thought it was for lil sliders lol. So they were disappointed when it was a full burger lol. Other than that we had a great time.

My sister and I came here for a late lunch after splashing around in the water (or shall I say, on the above-water obstacle course) at Whihala Beach. We were definitely ready to eat and enjoy some local beers. The flights come in options of 3 or 6 beers. With 9 craft brews on tap, it was easy to decide on both sizes for a flight with every beer. Beers were good...wheat and Belgian styles about here. Sis and I are also notorious for wanting to try the same food, so we went "splitsy" on two options: Buffalo chicken panini with house made chips; BLT with sweet potato fries. The sandwiches were definitely good, but the show stopper was the sweet potato fries. Maybe the best sweet potato fries I've ever had...crispy, but not like that coated style of crispy that you typically get with sweet potato fries. Just perfect and delicious. And our server Brooke was incredible. She took great care of us, and made recommendations that helped us decide on our meal.

It's been about five years since I found Bulldog... It's a nice little neighborhood 'Cheers' like bar. Not pretentious, the people and staff are down to earth and reasonably friendly. The wings are good as well as many of the sandwiches but in the time I have been coming here, the limited menu has not changed at all. It's time for a refresh with some new items! The beers are good and location right in the middle of the 119th Street Downtown makes this a great stopoff if you are in the area!

Bulldog Brewing is the first brewery on the South Shore Brewery Trail (SSBT; there's an app for that) that I visited while on my Indiana vacation. I was coming from I-80 in Illinois and this gave me the opportunity to knock this brewery out first. It was a Saturday late morning, shortly after opening. I was the first customer. The server was happy to see me. I couldn't stay long because I'm traveling with my dog and dogs are not allowed inside because of the kitchen, and it was getting warm out, so I ordered a Downtime Wheat (ABV 5%/IBU 32). Kudos to the server for serving it with a slice of lemon. It was quite tasty. There were a few other flagship beers on the menu, but they were out of them when I was there. I thus docked a star for my review. The place also serves food. I will come back here to try more beers and perhaps have a meal when it's busy. The historic Whiting area has improved since the last time I was here 30 plus years ago, and having a brewpub here makes me want to come back to explore more of the area.

Came by for a couple drinks. I like that it's this tiny brewery. It's not what I was expecting. I like the idea that a brewery doesn't always have to be in this large warehouse. They offer samples for their beers if you ask for it. The server was kind enough to share what her recommendations were. It was super easy to social distance here. They have hand sanitizer at the entrance and the workers wear their masks. It's located in a quiet town and it's kinda nice to be able to have a place like this within walking distance. They had a pretty good selection of different food items. They had both vegetarian and non-vegetarian items. The black bean burger caught my eye. Didn't get to try it, but maybe next time. It was nice that the server was checking up on us but maybe a bit too much. It was kinda hard to have a conversation when that happened too frequently. It was almost like they were bored itching for something to do. They had good intentions though.

Black and bleu burger. Dry, stale bun. Wrong type of bleu cheese, crumbled is the very best 3 Dec 2019

I was headed to Dive Taco but they were closed so I decided to check out Bulldog Brewing Company. I've heard such rave reviews from friends, it must have been for the beer and not the food. For a place that serves liquor, the lights were too bright for a club like atmosphere. I felt like White Castle's would have similar lighting. I ordered a black and bleu burger as it's somewhat rare to find that. I love bleu cheese on a good burger. Well, the first disappointment was the dry, stale and tasteless bun. It did not in any way enhance the burger. The cheese was a simple slice. Bleu cheese should be the crumbled kind, melted properly and visible. You shouldn't need a magnifying glass to locate the cheese. The ketchup squeeze dispensers came out of the refrigerator. Who puts cold ketchup on a burger or fries ? The fries were good. The waiter was attentive and professional. The interior was super clean and with a well stocked bar. Very comfy, even though the lights were too bright. No mood, not romantic and not set for evening bar life. This is my opinion. Maybe they were having a bad day but my experience tells me Bulldog needs to fine tune their bar food selections.

What a wonderful discover for a mid afternoon treat...the inside is very much a industrial look with exposed ceiling beams the artwork honors the working class area that it's located in. The food selection is good look for the weekly specials Wednesday homemade Perogi the service was outstanding our server Robbie made sure everything was perfect

If I die and go to heaven, I hope the food is half as good, and the beer ain't bad either!!!! The chicken fried steak was to die for. All hail the kitchen!

The bartender is friendly and we enjoy playing their bowling game before going to the festival. It is usually pretty empty other than regulars but we had fun watching the opening ceremonies of the Olympics with the small group. They have a lot of plants and trees near the front window. In 2023 we tried to sit at a table by the window, but my friend accidentally touched a tree when trying to sit down because it was so crowded with plants. Not a problem, right? She didn't snap it in half or knock it over. The owner saw this and started yelling at my friend and kicked us out of the (already empty) bar. Then this year after the festival we went in to have one more beer. The owner again was in there, and we started to play music on their Touch Tunes and we were singing along ( to Bob Marley, the most chill of all music). The owner yelled that this was "not a karaoke bar" and that if we continued to sing she would shut the jukebox off. We continued singing and she turned it off. We left the establishment despite full beers and she locked the door behind us at 10pm on a Saturday. It is clear that the owner of this tired, dirty and rundown bar is not interested in having any patrons other than her regulars, even during the town's biggest events of the year. We enjoyed this hole in the wall in the past, despite the bathrooms being dirty and flooded, despite there being no draft beer, and despite having to clear our own tables. But this was the last straw and we will not be back because the owner is not worthy of our money.
