I'm in Wausau (where my dad grew up) visiting friends and I want to pick up a Harley T-shirt for a co-worker. I do a search and "surprise" there's a Harley dealer only a few miles away. I pull into the large parking lot and walk in. This is a large dealership and doesn't look very old! He replies "You can spin the wheel and get whatever the discount it lands on" as he points to the wheel on the next counter over. "Really?" "Yeah" he said. So I give it a spin, it goes around 2 or 3 times and stops exactly where it started "15% off" SCHWEET! OVERALL: Nice, large pretty new dealership where you can get anything Harley related. read more

The absolute worst dealership in Wisconsin. I would never buy another bike or piece of clothing here again. They will sell you a brand new bike and month later won't even paint a gas tank that is changing color. After they talked me into a paint protection plan that isn't even for a matte finish. This place should not even be open for business. 100% a**holes!!! read more

New owner ship as of 2019 and an absolute must stop. The customer service is great they help in any way they can and greet you at the door. Sales people aren't pushy and are willing to just talk and bs if they have time. read more

Wausau Harley Davidson has been absolutely the WORST dealership I have ever been to! I came in to trade my Harley for a 2008 Sportster 1200 which I was told there were no problems and the bike was maintained/serviced at the Dealership. Having them assure me that I was in good hands, I purchased the bike and I brought the bike to my mechanic for an oil change which he first discovered metal shavings behind the air filter. There was also a staple stuck in the rear tire, battery wouldn't hold a charge, wheel bearings were bad and the list goes on... After telling the problem to Wausau HD, they told me how they "make sure it goes through a safety inspection". I told them I was currently speaking to a couple of lawyers which they offered to come pick up my bike for "another inspection". They came to pick up the bike for no charge and turned out the engine was not damaged after all, however after I clearly just put new synthetic oil in the bike, I found out they drained the oil and refused to reimburse me for it or put the oil I purchased back into the bike. The dealership came and dropped off my bike this morning. I never even got an apology for all the trouble and I know for sure this motorcycle was NOT inspected when it came into the doors of Wausau HD. I will never be returning back to this store again. read more

I have been going to Wausau Harley-Davidson service department for the past 3-4 years and have received nothing but extremely poor attitudes and service. The summer of 2015 I had an air-ride suspension system put onto my 2004 Electra Glide and had nothing but problems. I had to take it back being that there was a crimped air line. In addition, I ordered a new air pressure gauge from the parts department who never told me when it came in. I finally called after 2 weeks. Upon additional service to my Electra Glide, my air-ride system, for a lack of better terms, worked like crap. Not only was I not getting a smooth ride in the rear end, but it seemed as though my front forks were slamming hard on every little bump. I didn't ride my Electra Glide for the rest of the summer. My final cost was around $1800. Because of the terrible ride, I decided to trade in my 2004 Electra Glide for a 2008 Custom Sofftail at Wausau Harley-Davidson in spring 2016. The ride was a whole hell of a lot better. However, I started having new problems with my new bike. Upon purchasing the bike, I had the handlebars replaced by Wausau Harley-Davidson service department and for two months everything was fine. Until one day I noticed the mirrors were pointing straight up to the sky and I realized my handlebars had shifted a great deal. So as normal I called Wausau Harley-Davidson service department to have this problem looked at. The service person said we may have to pin the handlebars and I was okay with that. Two days after picking up my 2008 Softtail Custom, the mirrors were now pointing in a downward direction, at which time I decided to take off the riser covers and noticed not only were the handle bars 'not' pinned, the bars themselves did not have knurling. Most bikers know without proper knurling on the handlebars, the bars won't stay in place on the risers. Looking back at my service receipt, they also made a comment that the knurling looked good and everything looked fine. Not sure how the knurling could have looked good when it was non-existent! But only by the grace of God, I did not end up in a ditch somewhere with handlebars wrapped around my butt. So take this as a warning if you're serious about safety when it comes to your Harley-Davidson, DO NOT, and I repeat DO NOT!! go to Wausau Harley-Davidson service department. read more
