The playground equipment is pretty standard but what made this park great is all the other stuff it's got going on. There was a musical area near the playground -- a variety of drums and things kids can bang on. I also want to note that the swing set had a high-backed adaptive swing with harness available for those that need it. Here's the best part (in my opinion). There is a miniature golf course here. How awesome is that and why don't more parks do this!? I've never seen that at any parks. You can sign out putters/balls at the rec center office (someone else posted a photo of the sign out instructions here). It appears to only be available Mon-Fri during business hours. Still, an awesome thing to have available. You can bring your own putters/balls if you come on a weekend. There was also a soccer court, tennis court, pickle ball court, football field, baseball field, and a pool with water slides. A lot to do here. Additionally, there was a birding surprise here. In the lake adjacent to the playground, there was a little island just packed with egrets. It was beautiful and unexpected.

There is also a local community center that sits on the corner of the park. There is a pool also, but it looked in poor shape. There is plenty of green acreage to run around in and the Bull Ranch Creek runs down the middle of it. There's also enough room for about 10 or so cars to park in the gravel lot.

There is also a small incline that works well for some light hills practice. There is plenty of parking, bathrooms, picnic seating under a pavilion, a basketball court, a water fountain, spots for fishing, and it sits inside a nice neighborhood. I enjoy coming here for simple runs both in the morning and afternoons. There's not lighting to make it worthwhile to visit at night.. Sometimes people will bring their dogs off leash and let them roam around, so be careful of that, but for the most part people are very respectful and courteous of each other on the loop. This was my first time here, so I wasn't sure where to go. The road that goes around & over the dam is closed until Aug 2024, so I just took the only other option. I ended up at the boat launch, and it's a great place for pics! Plenty of ducks & pretty scenery! Not too many people on the lake or in the campground, but it definitely looks like a nice place to spend a relaxing weekend & drop a line in the water!

This park is the perfect drop off point which can link you to additional trails in the area for hiking and biking. It's other advantages consist of about a dozen parking spaces, a public bathroom, water fountain, covered playscape with swings and a circular gravel trail to walk laps on. Nearby is an additional area to practice your skateboard tricks. These trails run directly next to Gilliland Creek, which means during a period of torrential rains, the trails may actually be closed off. Good spot to bring the kids, dog or a bike.

According to the Pf'ville municipal website the other one is closed for maintenance, so we checked this one out at 8 pm. Learned that the sprinklers were off around 7:45 pm and not 10 like website indicated . Maybe it is only for the Summer? Anyway, I'm impressed! Looks new! Accessible! Large climbing structure to left and splash pad to the right. 3 shaded gazebo's, with double tables and grills (covered so not in use). The shower and water fountains work. And this place seems like a wonderful place to have an outdoor birthday with cooking splashing options. Splash pad and playground are Birthday girl approved!
