It's always exciting to have a new place to shop and I was particularly looking forward to ALDI…read more I'd heard some good reviews from friends who have been so I couldn't wait to check it out for myself. The grocery cart situation is cool in my opinion. You basically "rent" it for a quarter and when you return it you get the quarter back. It encourages everyone to return them, and cuts down on parking lot clutter, too! You know all those reusable bags you bought years ago with the intention of using them? Grab them and put them in your car for trips to ALDI! They sell reusable bags too if you forget yours or you can pay a mere .13 for a plastic one when you check out. The store itself is small but the savings here are anything but! You'll find a lot of beautiful and fresh produce, an extensive cheese selection, milk at $1.50 less than anywhere else and lots of pantry staples here. There are many things here that are ALDI's own brand, but you'll see some name brands you recognize too. It's definitely worth a visit and I'll be adding it to my grocery rotation for sure!

They have a good beer collection. Actually an excellent beer collection. However, until yesterday I had never attempted to have lunch there. I ordered a sandwich and small mac n cheese. I went to the end of the deli counter but it was closed. I asked one of the half dozen employees where I needed to pay for my lunch? I was told I would need to go to the front of the store and pay there. I asked "can I pay when I check out with my groceries?" The deli person who made my sandwich said "sure". I sat down next to my basket full of my items I intended to purchase, took one bite of my sandwich when the store manager appeared (Belinda Long) and asked me "did you pay for that sandwich?" Confusion Embarrassment Anger! I told Ms Long that the deli employee told me that I could pay when I checked out. Ms Long stated "who told you that which one which one!" At this point I took the uneaten sandwich and mac m cheese to the front of the store and paid for my order. I also told the store manager she could keep the groceries. This was a most unpleasant experience. I have never been treated with such disrespect at a grocery store. This encounter points to poor management habits and poor customer service
