When I said that was dangerous I was told I was being "unpleasant" and that I had to ship LEAKING CHEMICALS to them for a refund! Unfortunately I will likely have to file a chargeback. There oils and products are good, but some of the items come shorted. I'm waiting now on 150 containers that i ordered in late Oct, then got notified of a refund vs. fulfilling with a different color top, they didn't have in stock what was advertised - so be careful as they'll took my funds without the product in stock. Then waited nearly a week to issue a refund while i was waiting for the containers, i was treated rudely by their 'customer service' rep that I considered more of a notification bot that came with a bad attitude. After years of buying from Bulk Apothecary - 7 years - I'm considering other sources. As providers of product to consumers, we have to keep our own ethics intact, if one of our suppliers delays us, we all lose money. Bulk Apothecary didn't even give me a discount on the 2nd order I'm still waiting for - nearly a month after making the first one in which they didn't fulfill. When sellers lose money due to a wholesaler, it's time to look for different suppliers - watch out for the gouging in shipping as well, many others don't charge shipping on the order I did which would have made their prices very competitive. I don't understand all the negative reviews. I have been ordering from Bulk Apothecary for a couple years now, and have had an excellent experience. They take extra care to try to ensure liquids don't leak in shipping. I've never had an order come up short or incorrectly fulfilled, and I had a great experience with their customer service associates. I kicked Bath & Bodyworks to the curb a couple years ago when I finally realized the alcohol in their products was actually drying out my skin. Since then, I've switched to the soaps and lotions provided by Bulk Apothecary, and use some of their raw materials to mix my own. Products are fairly priced and of excellent quality. read more

Absolutely the worst experience I've had in years! I would have given them -10 if I could here. Ordered an item on January 2, and according to the info on their website, it was supposed to be processed and shipped the next business day (Jan. 3), and delivered within the next 1-3 biseness days, so by January 8 at the latest. As I need the item rather urgently, this was the fastest turnaround I could find, and this is why I ordered from them. Big mistake! On January 8 (!!!) they informed me that they shipped the item. However, even as of today, January 10, the shipper has not acknowledged the receipt of the item. When I enquired what's going on, here's what the response was: "Hi, Thanks for reaching out to us. Your order shipped via USPS tracking 9405511202416494126644. I would expect that you should see movement/delivery within the next few business days. Sometimes the carrier doesn't scan appropriately upon transit. If you do not see any movement on the tracking by 1/14, please reach back out to us at that time. We apologize for any inconvenience." 1/14 just to see if there is any info on the tracking!!! Instead of promised delivery by 1/8! Feel the difference. Probably will never see the item. They sent the wrong product, I contacted them via email, chat, email again and response took days. I am almost sure this was a scam to get money. This is disgusting how this business acts during these difficult time! Their site stated it will be 10-14 days delay until my order will be shipped. But they didn't hesitate to charge my card the moment I placed the order. After 25 days of waiting I wrote an email asking them to cancel my order. Didn't receive any respond. In 30 days - no shipment of my order, no cancellation of my order. So I called my credit card and they gladly started a process of disputing these charges. I placed an order for bulk sanitizer to protect my family. A few weeks later I was relieved to get a UPS tracking number. However, when the delivery reached my local UPS station, the tracking status changed to "damaged in shipping." I received an email stating they couldn't issue a refund without doing an "investigation" which would take 7-10 business days. I feel bad for this company getting all these bad reviews. I am sure they are doing the best they can to keep up with all of the orders and getting back to customer emails. I imagine the volume of the business increased drastically. We are in the middle of a pandemic people (!) and everyone wants hand sanitizers. I ordered a gallon for my office on 3/10/20 and it arrived on 3/23/20. Perfectly fine and understandable time frame considering the circumstances. I did get responses to my emails both times when I inquired. They print shipping labels and package as they get to it. "Label created" means they printed the label, but didn't get to package it yet or the box did not get picked up by UPS. Here is my review. Ordered hand sanitizer on March 8 and patiently waited the 10 days requested before I inquired on its status. On March 18th I requested info and what do you know, it shipped that day! Tracking info said it was to be at my house by the 20th. With no package on the 23rd I checked the tracking and it shows it never left their facility. Repeated inquires were always met with the response "it shipped". While all this was going on, I was able to purchase hand sanitizer locally. I requested a refund from these guys and received the response that they can't because it shipped. Their service is also messed. They use another name Nature's oil or Natural essential oil to request to upload document for resale tax exemption. Didn't realize I was one of the lucky ones, I ordered March 3rd and received my order March 13th, about 5 says after I expected it. And a day after my boyfriend worked the Port of Oakland. If you are going to order from them, you just have to be patient. My advice is to double the time frame for delivery that they initially give you. I did take off 1 star because I'm sure no one doubts they lack in the communication department, but the good thing is at least your order can be and has been placed somewhere and it's in some sort of queue to at least eventually receive the product. I ordered bentonite clay and it arrived in a timely manner at a great price cheaper than any other delivery. When the package arrived it the box looked hastily packaged it was dented. Maybe it's how the delivery was thrown into a van. However it was not damaged at bottom of the box so product was fine. Price of product great But... had to decide on what size of order because of trying out different quantities and what the delivery charge was seemed random. If I had bought 3 I got a higher delivery charge than buying 4 but if I bought 5 the price was over 10$ more for shipping. I think this company could get perfect ratings if: 1. I have not received anything, and every time I contact the company, I get stonewalled with "delivery times are extended due to the pandemic". I've placed many, many online orders over the past two months, and have had NO issues receiving ANYTHING I ordered, except from this ripoff company. I'm glad I paid via PayPal, because I have asked for a refund of all charges (including the **$129.75** for "USPS Priority Mail" shipping), and I will escalate to PayPal if this ripoff company refuses to do the right thing.
