While…read morewaiting for my awning to be ready, I needed to have an electrician come and install an outdoor outlet in preparation. The day of install, two nice guys were here from 8:30am to 3-ish and the job is complete. The awning is exactly what I wanted aesthetics wise, and is super simple to operate. I got a full cassette with a wind sensor. Now I look forward to using my deck much more. I chose NW Natural Lighting based upon their knowledge, their communication, a nicely detailed estimate, no hard sell or upsell to something unnecessary, and everyone I had contact with at the company was helpful, nice and courteous. The price was very reasonable for a good product.

NW Natural Lighting had installed ceramic frit glass rail before (usually on commercial projects) but for us were able to source Guardian Glass Bird 1st UV for the first time. Fair warning, the cost in money and time to source this glass is pretty dissuasive, but having not been an early adopter for any earth-friendly technologies in the past I decided this could be my one thing. NW Natural Lighting did a great job sourcing and installing the glass, and aside from cost and lead time, the product is absolutely incredible - the sample they got for their showroom really doesn't do it justice. Except when it fogs up at night and the moisture evaporates at different rates in the morning, none of us humans can see it at all. So far not a single bird strike, and we get to enjoy a stunning view. Very well done.

We emailed him in between asking if he was working on it and got a terse response saying yes, he was working on it, but didn't get the new bid until May 18th. We agreed to it and he said he would send an invoice. On May 29th we were still waiting for the invoice. We didn't feel it should take a month to get a bid and who knows how much longer to get the order in. He never gave any apologies for delays or gave a reason for their being delays. On the 29th when we said we're going elsewhere and why, he said sorry he's been on an extended family vacation. Seemed a lame excuse especially in a sales position, people always say they're going to be out of the office such and such dates or let you know a reason why you're not going to get any communication or results from them

We were referred to this company by our builder, and it was the best place we could've used. We previously used a budget blinds company in the area on our business' windows and those were okay but the Hunter Douglas blinds we got with this company have been top notch. The price here was the best we found for top-down/bottom-up blinds with the enclosed string, and we also had some rooms with the blackout style blinds because I work nightshift... They have all been great... But the real difference for us has been in the fact that the customer service over the years when the kids' broke a tab or string on the blinds has been amazing, and the response to get the blinds fixed and returned to us has been really fast. We are very happy customers and I'd continue to recommend them.

I originally was going to replace only two sets of hated vertical blinds...but Laurajean's selection caused me to "upgrade" to doing all of the windows in my town home (all of the other window treatments were builder's grade vinyl mini-blinds. Harrison Street is easy to work with...and fast delivery!'' There was a problem from the manufacturer with the width of a few of the blinds...and another manufacturer's problem with imperfections in the weave of one set of blinds for a patio slider. Laurajean and her installer (husband) Jim took care of everything to my satisfaction. Be sure to hold your sample up to the light - some of the blinds aren't as "view blocking" as I expected from the outside when the inside lights are on, but fortunately my town home is situated where there's next to no foot traffic passing by those windows.

I contacted the owner, Ante', who drove out in his fully equipped commercial vehicle to my business the same day I called him for a quote. He arrived at the exact time specified and brought samples for me to review. During the initial consultation, he wasn't rushed and took the time to explain the different types of products and how the UV blocking technology worked and how it helped block light while still providing visibility. He also used a very cool laser guided measuring tool that was a lot more accurate than the old fashioned plastic tape measure. I like supporting locally owned businesses and companies that are family owned. Ante' has been installing and cleaning blinds for over twenty years and is a true pleasure to work with throughout the process. His pricing is fair and honest. It's also a bonus to have the business owner do the installation. Ante' is extremely professional, has a fantastically positive attitude that is infectious and he communicates throughout the whole process. You can't go wrong with his service and expertise. We have received a lot of compliments on the new shades and it's helped our employees be more comfortable during this hot weather.

Once we…read morereached out, Sarah was very quick to respond and even ended up coming to our house with samples to help us choose fabrics! She put together multiple quotes because we were not sure what we wanted (or how much of it the builder would cover), and we were able to get exactly what we were comfortable paying for and the fabric choices were great! We went with roman shades and the person who came out to measure and install was excellent. He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and easy to work with! Our new shades look great and block the light very well! Also, they arrived VERY quickly and were able to come install right after arrival! (Ordered Sept 11th, installed Sept 24th) The only downside we experienced was we were not able to find a solar shade similar to one we previously saw (where it blocks the sun but does not provide a ton of privacy), and ended up going with another company for those (Lowe's- they were cheaper for the GIANT windows we have). We were stubborn once we knew what we wanted, otherwise I am sure this company would have done an excellent job on those as well! As far as prices go, this company was middle of the road but provided the service expected for the price. Cheapest being blinds.com or Lowe's (but there is much more churn with scheduling and long lead times, however you can get deals for holidays and such), and on the high end you'd find things like the Shade Store or other boutique-y places. Overall, this company was so easy to work with and quick, so I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone needing window coverings!
