A car dealership paid off my car loan to dover fed. They claim the payment was a day late therefore they charged me another entire months car payment of $600. That's crazy. Especially when I was initially told I'd be getting my $600 back and it was being mailed to me. Everyone agrees that dover fed could if just charged a fee regarding the last dealer payoff instead of stealing my entire $600. Some employees of dover fed even agreed with me. Do not do business with this bank. They will steal your money. Find a reputable bank that will work hard for you and your money. NOT one like dover fed who will rip you off

I was not permitted to speak with anyone from the fraud unit (aside from Ryan - who really needs to get another job with a reputable CU). DFCU allowed a hacker to remove monies from our account. That's how poor their hack alerts or breach processes are. DFCU Fraud team (another invisible team member) was able to look into the past (apparently a "seer" or "Psychic") and see that one of the 3 of us, used the card to withdraw monies and therefore it couldn't be a fraudulent withdraw or 2 or 3. I explained all this to the Fraud Unit, and teller at the DFCU - as I went over the next business day to check on the dispute I filed the day before. Like the employees of DFCU I should have lied and made up a reason to get repeatedly fraudulent access to the account. You will do better sticking your funds in a mattress than banking with these fools. AVOID DFCU AT ALL COSTS!

All was well until the cd expired and Dover offered only 0.01% for a 6-month cd which was useless as a cd investment. Other financial institutions are careful about transferring cd money but have relatively easy processes. Not Dover. What they put me through to transfer my money to another banking institution was just plain awful and aggravating. I verified my identity on three occasions, but Dover wanted more. They demanded that we have a visual video conference call using their own software. But what they put me through was a mess. Via my desktop computer, I logged on to their website to initiate the video conference, but their software failed. So I tried 3 more times and their software failed. To straighten this out I had to waste my time calling them 4 times. Finally I figured maybe their video software would work using my smart phone. Tried it once - nope. Tried it a second time - nope. Finally the third time, it worked. Subsequently Dover transferred my money to another banking institution. After the transfer I thought there was an error with some money missing from the transfer. I called one Dover employee directly on 2 different days, but she never returned my calls. So I called a different employee who answered my question and I realized that I made an error. I asked the primary Dover employee that worked on this transfer, given all the hassle Dover caused me, to waive the wire fee of $20. And I asked for an email indicating if Dover would wave that fee. But Dover never had the courtesy to respond. So all in all, my experience transferring my money out of a Dover cd was a lot of hassle and wasted time. Worse is that the Dover employees seemed apathetic to my complaints. My suggestions to Dover is that upper management simplify their processes and re-train their employees for this kind of task. I noticed that the Yelp reviews for three of the Dover locations were all rated poorly: 1* to 1.5* to 2* as of February 2022.
