Wow, so if you're looking to be scammed by a couple of con men who will take your money and destroy your property, you've come to the right place. Be warned, yelpers, BAWA CONSTRUCTION GROUP is a complete SCAM operation. Do your homework and check out the people behind this operation before turning over your money. We decided it was time for a new driveway and, unfortunately, contacted Bawa Construction for an estimate. GURPREET "HARRY" SINGH came to the property as the front man of this operation, blabbering incessantly about his "great skills" (as in all talk and no substance). Singh attempts to pass himself off as a world class "expert" contractor, but has absolutely no idea what he is doing. The "manager" of this scam operation is listed as JASPREET KAUR but the only thing this con operation will do is manage your money right into their pockets while damaging property. We fell for the scam and foolishly handed over a $4,000.00 check to Gurpreet Singh. Once the check was cashed, out came the excuses: the weather COVID, injuries, supply chain, etc, etc. The agreed upon start date came and went and suddenly Gurpreet Harry Singh was "too busy" to do the work. Also, we didn't think much of it at the time, but the contract has a NYC address on it, while this operation is actually operating out of a house in Mount Sinai, LI.. We later learned that the Queens address on the contract is all part of the scam used to defeat efforts to sue in Suffolk County Courts. So, no surprise-the situation went from bad to worse. Weeks went by and another well known scammer, JOSEPH LOLISCIO, shows up at the property demanding more money, claiming he was an "expert" mason. (do your homework on this guy) A big pile of sand was left along with a bunch of crooked pavers. Turns out Loliscio has a long, long list of victims whom he has scammed and defrauded. His license was revoked and there are tons of complaints against him-all public record. You may ask, if JOSEPH LOLISCIO has such a nasty public history of scams and consumer fraud, why would Gurpreet Singh hire such a person? Well, the answer is obvious: THE GOAL OF THIS SCAM OPERATION IS TO SCAM AND DEFRAUD HARD WORKING CONSUMERS and they need to be stopped. To make matters worse, we later learned, GURPREET SINGH has been previously arrested in Nassau County for running consumer fraud. (again, public record) They are casting a wide net across Suffolk and it appears they are setting sights on New Jersey consumers and beyond. Gurpreet Singh will also attempt to manipulate reviews in his favor as a cover for his scams. Appears Gurpreet Singh needs to stoop so low that he needs to have his manager submit false favorable reviews. Run and don't look back. read more

This company poured 2 driveways for me one drive right on top of the grass with thin mesh sticking out of the surface and the drive is 4 inches over the lawn... The second drive is cracking and was poured extremely wet and froze over night now it's falling apart!! Both drives are crappy cement mixture and the surfaces are coming off! They refuse to properly fix both drives!!Do not Hire this company!! read more

If you want your job done on-time or correctly, do NOT hire BAWA Construction Company. They, and in particular Harold and Joe, have been done nothing but lie, no show, and avoid fulfilling their promises. In July 2022 I hired them to fill in a small hole that collapsed on my cobblestone patio, re-lay the stones, pressure wash, insert polymeric sand, and all weather seal. They quoted me $3200 and said the sand and sealing would last 5-10 years without an issue. After paying, they pressure washed the driveway and patio, then let it sit for several weeks to the point where they had to come and redo the entire process as weeds were again growing in the spacing. Also during this time, I filled in the hole and reset the cobblestones myself as it was a hazard to my children. I asked them to lower the $3200 quote and was told , "That was being done for free since it was such a small job. The power-washing, polymeric sand, and sealing still would cost $3200." Since they had a contract and I just wanted it finished, I dropped the complaint and they finished the work in mid-August, over a month after they stated it would originally be completed. Fast forward to April 2023 and there are again weeds growing within a great amount of the areas where the polymeric sand and sealer were laid. I was told by Harold over the phone, "No problem. Our worker probably did not power wash deep enough and we will take care of it." Eventually, after several weeks of no communication except when initiated by me and several no shows, Harold told me that I needed to speak with Joe and he would take care of it. It was more of the same with Joe, who promised to come fix the problem twice, and no showed both appointments. He threatened that he would not fix the work unless I took down my reviews of him and Harold. I took them down as a show of good faith and he no showed again! In the last four months now I have been given numerous excuses as to why they have not finished the work. These have included weather, being too busy, not having any available time, not having enough workers, one of the owners having a child, and posting honest reviews of their work. To sum this up, I paid $3200 for a job that was promised to last 5-10 years and made it about eight months. Since my reviews Joe has now changed his stance saying that it must be resealed every year. Harold posted a comment online that he would send a crew to fix it, and they never came. You would be better off hiring literally anyone else to handle your housing needs. I will now be taking them to small claims court. Save yourself the trouble I have found myself in and simply don't hire them! read more

Company installed Pennsylvania blue stone patio using TECHNICAL smart sand which was not applicable to this project. The filler never hardened and came up leaving gaps and loose stones. Repeated contact with owner and unfulfilled promises to get it right.. we will have to get someone else to correct this mess read more

This is a rip-off company. I contracted with Bawa Construction Group to build a retaining wall, a patio, and a walkway on April 4th, 2023. Upon its insistence I paid an advance payment for material purchase in the amount of $9700. The contract stated that the work will be completed in two weeks. Until mid-June 2023 they have not started the work and they did not deliver the materials to the site. They gave us all sort of excuses from bad weather, to shortage of labor, to delays on other jobs, to breakage of equipment, even a death in the family. I asked the owner repeatedly to either refund the money or deliver the materials that I paid for to no avail. Now they are not even responding to calls, emails, or text messages. I am reporting them to the Better Buisness Bureau, the Consumer Affair, and I am retaining an attorney and will be filing a law suit. Had a bad experience with this company. Dealt with Harry for the contract and 50% down payment and then was told Joe was doing my project. Oh Joe oh Joe. You can't make this guy up. The worst case of a pathological liar I've ever seen. On the promised day of work nobody would show up. He used every excuse in the book, after about 7 no shows and excuses from worker called out, there is rain in forecast (drizzle at best), the Canadian wild fires, Flu, each time he would sound so genuine, but once the common excuses ran out he would say "I'm coming right now, I'm loading up the bricks in the car as we speak [goes on to tell another worker to load some more bricks in the other truck while I'm on the phone], I cancel my plans and wait... no show. This goes on and on. Then he dumps a pile a of sand on my driveway and that sits for 2 more weeks. Everytime I would call Harry, he would apologize and say I will call him. Was convinced I was scammed with the upfront payment. Threatened to call police on the company. After about 6 weeks past promised day, the work was not very good either. The contract stated polymeric sand would be used to lock pavers. They did not. When I called and showed them pictures they said "oh Joe must have been running low on the polymeric sand, I'll have him come by tomorrow first thing in the morning and fix that". I laughed to myself, these guys barely showed up with 50% of payment still with me. How are they showing up after getting paid full. I ended up hiring another company and they locked the pavers and finished the job. If you are not in a rush and don't care too much about getting the whole work done and good quality, then you can give these guys a try, otherwise don't be an idiot like me and go read other Yelp reviews. read more
