I have found that the chocolate/candy in North America (Canada and the U.S.) is sweeter than the U.K. and European chocolate - and less cocoa-y. Personally, by looking at the quality of the chocolate, it didn't blow me away. But they did offer some interesting choices. T&J seafoods offers one flavour of candied salmon that's made weekly in small batches (it's not too popular out east I suppose). It's smoked and seasoned with peppercorn. There's barely a sweet flavour and there's a lot of peppery spiciness. The salmon is also much tougher and I even found some small bones in a few of the pieces. It is good value for $9/half lbs of candied salmon and it's nice that they vacuum seal it for you when you buy it. FINAL VERDICT: After tasting the maple syrup candied and smoked Sockeye candied salmon variations from Vancouver, BC's Granville Island market, T&J just doesn't match up in terms of freshness, quality, or flavour.

I buy a regular order from BB every week. The location at Sunrise Centre is literally a 2-minute drive from my house, but I will never shop there again. I mean NEVER. Just last week, for the 5th time, they hadn't picked my online order after 3 hours +. After the 4th time, I chose the Weber Street location. I would like to say that I started putting my order in here and I have never had a problem. Not in the almost 9 months I've been doing so. I don't care about the extra driving time or gas because the customer service is astronomically better. The staff is always friendly and speedy. Usually, after I put in my order the call comes to say it's ready in 30 minutes. I've had the pleasure of meeting the owner twice, and she is so nice. I told her about my troubles with Sunrise and she thought the customer service should be much better. Her staff has never let me down. Part of the value we receive when we spend our hard-earned money (which doesn't go nearly as far in Canada these days) is the customer service we receive. I'm not going to spend the money I do every week at a store where I'm blamed for the excuses teenagers have for not getting my online order ready after three hours, especially when I come in and two of them are sitting behind the counter playing on their phones...and then crying busy. You won't get those excuses at the Weber Street store. You'll just get your order ready in good time and great customer service. I won't go anywhere else again.
