The store is well stocked and fun to browse, especially for weirdos like me who love to check out local grocery stores. This market has plenty of free parking and offers easy access for folks just passing through. If you're looking for some local snacks, drinks, or even groceries for the road, you'll find plenty of options. They carry lots of local Canadian products, so it's a great spot to grab an edible souvenir or treat yourself to something unique from the area. I am partial to the local maple syrups and cookies, but there are tons of only-in-Canada goodies for sale. There's a small deli with grab and go options that make for a quick and healthy snack or meal, and you can get all of the standard snacks like chips, candy, and sodas that are chilled and ready to go. Metro Market is convenient, easy to shop in, and a solid stop for travelers looking to stock up or pick up a little taste of Canada.

Cute little store in Hamilton, right around the corner of King Street…read more I find it super cute how their slogan is: "the softer biscotti", and it definitely is the softer biscotti compared to the usual brick hard ones. There are a variety of selections here including: oreo, reese pieces, chocolate almond, coconut lime, M&M, red velvet and skor. Each biscotti is $3 each or you can purchase 2 for $5. Though they are softer, and very creative, It's on the sweeter side, so if you're someone who ADORES sweet things, come here. I also purchased their snowballs for $6 for a fair sized bag. I thought it was pretty delicious, although sweet, the powder and the dough inside was delicious. I think they should definitely promote more of these sweets! The biscotti was good, but I prefer the snowballs a little more!

Like other reviews have mentioned there are 2 areas for sundries and baked goods. You walk into the main area (sundries) and during COVID times there is a little line up area to go into the bakery. The bakery staff helps monitor the line and calls you into the bakery area when the area is clear enough in order to practice social distancing. The bakery is pretty fantastic, and worth the short wait. There is a large display case of homemade sweets, bars, and pastries, as well as a whole other savory section with things like empanadas. I love that there are also fresh and frozen breads, cookies, homemade dishes and soups. We've tried a variety of the sweets squares and loved every bite. We also tried a frozen chicken pot pie, which was delicious and the perfect size for 2 adults. Love the variety of apple ciders, tons of jam jars, special mustards, grilling spices and fresh produce. We even found a huge metal bin of extra virgin olive oil on sale. I always seem to find something special and delicious!

Local hero award unofficial nomination! Dundurn Market has remained open as a service to the…read morecommunity since the initial shutdown. They have local delivery, contactless pick up , and easy online shopping. From the beginning they have implemented measures to keep staff and customers as safe as possible. There are now markers outside on where to stand socially distanced apart while you wait to shop. I so appreciate the limited number of customers in the store (usually 1-3), required staff and customers mask wearing, as well as hand sanitizer in several locations. Usually the door is open as well letting fresh air in and circulation going. The store selection and supply has been able to keep up with the demand, which also means supporting local farmers, brewers, restaurants, bakeries, sweets makers and sorts of artisan goodies they supply. We couldn't be luckier to have a place like Dundurn Market to rely on during the pandemic. Thanks to the whole staff and suppliers for your hard work and delicious food! They have a great selection of local brews, wines, flowers, ice creams, frozen meats and fish, produce - you name it! Bicycle delivery available too. I have especially loved getting to purchase goods from other local businesses like Grit & Grain, Fairweather brews, Collective Arts brewing, Sweet & Simple (chocolates and sweets) and Berkeley North (yum fresh pasta, sauces and breads!) I've even been lucky enough to find Donut Monster donuts at times which really helps me limit the number of places I would have to go or order from to to get all those products - especially the alcohol. We are big fans of the food, pastries, groceries, sustainable packaging, service and community commitment. Thanks again!!

This was right before closing so we were happy to get these before they were all donated! The employee was very friendly! The raspberry scone had some powdered sugar on it and was slighly drier but still sooo tasty and had a good texture! The cinnamon bun was very yummy! I hadn't been back to this plaza in over three years. This Cobs Bread looks. I walked over to check this bakery out. This plaza has a lot of parking spots. It's anchored by a huge Walmart. A man immediately welcomed me when I walked in. I needed some time to look at everything, but it reminded me of visiting Cobs in Ottawa, but without a crowd. I love the danish pastries with custard. They were so good when I had them in the Summer that I got some more. My order consisted of these items: - Wild blueberry and custard danish - Raspberry and custard danish - Cinnamon bun My two pastries were in a bag. I got my cinnamon bun in a cute box. I paid with a debit card. I tapped and was good. I thanked the man and left with my goodies. I devoured the raspberry and custard danish after dinner. It was perfection. I liked the natural raspberries with the smooth custard. It was the best pairing. The danish had a light dusting of sugar sprinkled around the edge. Yummy! I haven't had the other goodies. They'll likely be gone by tomorrow. Such a great find. I may head back and get a chocolate croissant. I also like the flatbreads that are perfect for lunch or dinner. (396)
