They took the time to explore several possibilities with me, pulled items for me to try, and offered suggestions for accessories that would bring the look together. What stood out most was their genuine enthusiasm and expertise. Gypsy Treasures is infinitely superior to those seasonal Halloween shops - they're passionate about costumes, makeup, accessories, and the art of creating a complete look. Their selection includes high-quality, theater-grade makeup and a wide range of unique pieces. I never felt pressured to make a purchase. Their focus was clearly on helping me find the right solution, not simply making a sale, which is a rare quality these days. I highly recommend Gypsy Treasures. I'll definitely be returning!

I…read moredecided to browse the store before checking out, but unfortunately, my experience went downhill the moment I walked inside. Upon entering, I noticed a bin near the front door where customers are required to leave backpacks and large bags as a theft deterrent. I completely understand that policy for oversized bags. However, I was carrying a regular-sized purse, NOT a backpack or large bag. To make matters even more confusing, there was a HUGE sign clearly stating "Purses OK." Despite this, the employee insisted that I surrender my purse and place it in the bin. I was extremely uncomfortable with this, especially considering the bin was right near the entrance, where anyone could potentially grab someone's belongings and walk out. I had no intention of leaving my personal valuables unsecured in a publicly accessible area. What bothered me most was how aggressively the policy was enforced, despite the store's own signage clearly distinguishing purses from larger bags. I felt pressured, singled out, and incredibly uneasy. The entire interaction raised red flags and made me question how secure customers' belongings actually are. Ultimately, I chose not to purchase the top or continue shopping. It's unfortunate because I genuinely wanted to support the business, but no piece of clothing is worth feeling intimidated or being forced to leave my personal belongings somewhere I don't feel they're safe. If your sign says "Purses OK," then your employees should honor that policy. Otherwise, what's the point of having the sign? Very disappointing experience. I left feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome, and unfortunately, I cannot recommend this store. **** saying We attempted to communicate with you, but the interaction did not lead to a resolution.**** complete LIE!! Never happened. I decided never to shop here again, that's the resolution... as you don't know what a purse is.

Pam was SO helpful & kind, helping me find items but not pushy at all (perfect combo). I had no idea they make the gorgeous pieces they sell! I got a beautiful black lace skirt and beautiful matching top with long arms, and flowers on the black lace. Gorgeous and I can't wait to wear it! The items are one of a kind because they are made on site so you can really show off some beautiful statement, artistic pieces of clothing if you like that kind of thing, which I do! Their jewelry is beautiful... Looks exactly like items I saw on Etsy for five times the price! I can't wait to come here next year while before Coachella so I can get all my outfits here. It seemed like she was trying to intimidate me, but all she did was come off as socially awkward. There were some awful misbehaved kids running around the store screaming and knocking down displays and ruining stuff, and yet this odd girl is targeting us and staring at us in a creepy way instead of doing her job. Watch out for this staring girl by the dressing rooms. However, this is a mom and pop store, so it was good to support small business.

The process is a little more old-school compared to other trade-in and resale stores since they don't seem to be as electronically up-to-date. I received a call about 10 minutes after dropping off my clothes. I brought in two large bags filled with very nice, name-brand items, many of which still had the price tags on them, and they didn't accept a single thing. I was honestly pretty shocked. For comparison, Buffalo Exchange and Plato's Closet each accepted anywhere from 4 to 10 items from me, so if they don't take anything here, I'd definitely recommend trying some other resale stores. The employees were very friendly, but I was a little surprised by how my clothes were handled after they went through them. They were left sitting right by the front door off to the side. I would have at least expected them to be placed behind the counter or somewhere out of the way. Overall, the staff were friendly, and they did have some cool looking stuff for sale. I didn't spend much time browsing, but it seemed like they had a decent selection.

This seems like such a fun (and appropriate) store for a shopping center like Seaport Village! My son thought the pirate themed items were great! There were clothes for adults and children alike. I thought the onesie that said "I smell trouble" was just too cute. They have pirate shirts and hats. The huge selection of guns was truly unique. There were lots of signs, plaques, and even wall art. There are items even hanging from the ceiling here. The nautical items are my favorite things to explore here. Brass bells, signs, and clocks are throughout the store. I really like lighthouses, and we found the cutest jewelry box and snow globe. We liked them so much that we ended up buying both. They had some nice compasses and clocks that would make nice gifts for anyone who likes nautical stuff. The service was good here too. The salesperson who rang up our items was both thoughtful and sweet. She made sure to ask if we found everything we were looking for and wrapped our items with such care. She was also very knowledgable about the items here too. If you're anywhere near Seaport Village and need to buy a gift for someone who likes nautical or pirate themed items, you'll never go wrong with stopping by Captain's Cove for a unique gift!!

I…read morewas too busy these past few days with the passing of one of our family members and it seems that we don't feel like decorating this year. YESTERDAY we visited our favorite store for Halloween, "SPIRIT HALLOWEEN", to see what we could add this year. As always SPIRIT HALLOWEEN always sold us good ANIMATRONICS for our Haunted House. LAST YEAR our Best Buy from them were these 2 TALL FLAMING FIRES that I put on both sides of my DEVILISH looking CHAIR surrounded with HUGE ANIMATRONICS. But this year when we came to visit Spirit Halloween there weren't many selections for me, but we were still able to purchase a few. I just don't know if I'm going to be able to put out all of my ANIMATRONICS and set them up, power them up to move, and make them make sounds with phrases. I will try my best, but no promises 'coz I really feel bad to those KIDS who come every year, my Haunted house even lasts until 12 MIDNIGHT. Well I had to close my Gate at 12 am or people wont stop coming , plus at night it gets creepier, I don't see kids anymore, but I see teens and adults going down from their car with BEAUTIFUL costumes still trick or tricking at my house ;) Again, most of these ANIMATRONICS that makes my house HAUNTED on HALLOWEEN are mostly from the "SPIRIT HALLOWEEN STORE". And again, this year I'm not sure if I can put them up 'coz unboxing them, putting them up, and making them move and talk and plus the Lighting takes a lot of time and we aren't sure if we are gonna make it in time. Sorry in advance to those who come every year. Our 17 year old dog just passed away and my regular routine slowed down. So if this Haunted House is not up this Monday, see you guys next Halloween kids.

But the store has an extremely corrupt return policy. I had all of my receipts and nothing was used or opened. They would not let me return anything. I was specifically told by the person working the register that I could definitely make returns when I purchased the items so that was extremely frustrating. But like I said the biggest problem was Sean. He was by far THE rudest most disrespectful people I have ever encountered in the retail industry, so much so that I had to leave a review. And I Am NEVER one to leave reviews. He was smug and immature and condescending. He interrupted me, talked over me. Accused me of LYING to him about the fact that one of his employees told me I could return the items. He mocked me for trying, he even laughed at me. Spirit Halloween should be ashamed that he is working as one of their managers and as long as he is an employee I will never shop at any spirit again. As a customer, I have never been treated by anyone like this in my life. Disgusting behavior.
