Disappointed went across town to BAB & attention wasn't given per company standards as we have been going since 2008....4th kid's 1st time & didn't get our Birth Certificates. The lady who stuffed their animal didn't even take the time to put the barcode piece into the Build a Bear which I didn't notice until we were home. To make matters worse, the barcode piece had already ripped in two pieces. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the point that the animal will be returned to you if it is lost by looking up the barcode in the company's system!! Last, I knew that was the gimmick to the whole business plan for this company. Or am I missing something?? Not happy since these items are pricey. We buy an experience not a toy!! Pretty sure that this was because we bought the items prior to coming in because it was a Birthday present for the 4th kid & wanted the kid to be able to stuff it themselves. Very disappointed & sad as I have spent a pretty ton of dollars not pennies at these stores for all four kids across 4 stores & 2 states. I brought my daughter here yesterday March 2. She was very shy at first but Jessica did such a wonderful job at making her feel comfortable. Once my daughter warmed up she loved every minute of it. She loves her bear and came home telling the whole family about her experience. We will definitely be back! We were there...again, today. My four year old has four bears. She is addicted. We try to avoid walking by the store when we are at the mall because of her reaction. Today, they had a special, which I think runs until August 18. Any bear, any outfit, and any shoes for $29.99. BTW-total steal if you have ever bought one. The staff is super nice. Always helpful and friends. I was a bit ashamed and surprised that the manager recognized my daughter. Oy! Highly suggest that if your child has even a little bit of an addiction, you should join the club. They sent me a $10 gift card a few months ago, so we popped in and bought an outfit, which makes the animal anew! My daughter has a panda, a purple bear, Hello Kitty, and now a purple cat. My son, which my husband despise that he likes this place, has a Batman, Anakin Skywaker, and Storm Trooper. (He lost Spiderman a number of years ago and was very sad). Today on 3-17-21 I was very displeased with this location, my son who has been going into the store for years now had a bad incident when he went into the store to ask for a heart that goes inside the bears. He is on the autistic spectrum and does not understand not getting the hearts as he has been down by this for years. After asking an associate about getting them she was rude to him and told him not to touch anything and leave the store. I have had nothing put positive experiences till today and now I believe after several built bears you have lost a customer if not for life at least a while. read more

Worst customer service I've experienced in Build a bear in the 8 years we've been going there. My daughter saved for 4 months doing chores to be able to buy a pony and it was a disappointment. 1. We were not greeted according to standards 2. We asked about accessories for our pony and the two employees stopped talking long enough to gesture to "over there in the bins" for us to find tutus that "should fit" 3. While being checked out our purchase and accessories (not the tutu) were roughly handled. This is a toy our child loves and wants and now it's being handled like trash and SHOVED into a box. 4. When I let Mari know about our less than great experience she was snippy. "Oh really? And what wasn't great about your visit??" When we let her know we felt she was rude and they didn't meet their store standards she rolled her eyes and said in a sarcastic tone "oh, I'm rude. Yeah. Sorry about that" Maybe it seems like small things but this is a $50 purchase that is marketed to a special experience to children. This store is missing the mark on many levels. you can spend this kind of money at a number of stores that stick to their standards and seem to engage kids like the Lego store or Disney store. So Mari, here is your review as promised! Maybe you need a break from Build a bear. I hear Walmart is hiring. read more

I can't wait to go back. We came in for my kids bday, and from the very start the ladies their made us feel welcomed. The whole process of our children picking out their pets to making them was so very special. I can honestly say I would love to make my very own. So my mid child's 16th birthday just passed a week ago. Along with wonderful Disneyland, is working hard to keep up with theme parks all over this world. Disneyland, no exception! They now have Downtown Disney. Inside is great for souviers, gifts, edibles, all kinds of things to explore. Inside is also a BAB. Our youngest on our trip got her first experience and just about the same age as the older one having his birthday here. We adore the way that each customer is met helped and shows the young ones how to get involved. Just brings wonderful, joyful memories of my older ones that we did the same for them. read more

My husband & I decided to bring our daughter to this location to celebrate her 2nd Birthday and take advantage of the National Hug Day promotion as well. As we entered there were only 4 employees(2 on the register, 2 at the stuffing station) which seemed highly odd seeing as they were having a promotion and the place was fairly packed. There was no one to greet us and alert us of our options which is what we expected since it was our first time. We didn't know what we were doing and no one could assist us because it was so busy. Fast forward to check out, we didn't know we had the option to create a birth certificate until we finished checking out & the cashier didn't ask if we would've liked to, he didn't offer us the Birthday promotion seeing as I was a Bonus Club Member neither (it was clear that it was my baby's birthday because he told her HBD) but he asked me if I was interested in other purchases such as donations & upgrades. Reading this you're probably thinking I should've spoken up myself but as a first time customer I expected much better customer service and rundown of my options. I was highly disappointed with my visit & I'll be trying a new location with hopes of better customer service. read more

Fayth (my 11year old daughter) has been a fan of build a bear for about 5 years now. She has a total of 7, or 8, or 9. Honestly I just know the number is too hi, seriously who needs this many build-a-bears?! Yet every time we go, I think I enjoy myself as much as she does. On this trip we went because we are participating in a project similar to Flat Stanley, where you mail a friend around the country and journal your time with them. Well this particular project includes Harley the cat from B-a-B. We bought Harley a tiny suitcase for her trip. While there we also bought some of the Harajuku brand clothes for some of Fayth's current friends. They always have tons of selections of animals to stuff, outfits to dress them in, and accessories that stuffed animals really don't need. But naming them and stuffing and fluffing seems to be part of the fun. They really let the bear owner run the show. In most cases that's the kid. Until she grows out of this phase, we will continue to shop here. They also offer tons of coupons if you sign up with their bear club. read more

Being that it was my daughters first visit, I didn't expect much. I was pleasantly surprised to see how many details they put into each bear. I didn't get her name but the woman who helped us was about 50ish with blue eyes and bangs. She was great and took very good care of us, she made the experience very special. My 3 year old loves this place, and the staff always go way beyond expectations. It's pricey when you start clothing animals, but I think you can get out at a reasonable price if you set limits. Really love the employees at this location. read more

Really frustrated with this Build A Bear. I have given my business to this build a bear many times. Today I took my daughter down there to get the 5$ teddy bears with the hopes of getting rid of her binky and putting it in the teddy bear. My daughter was on board with the idea so I take her into the store and as we are in line to stuff the bear the lady says I cannot put the binky in the bear per store policy. Okay, fine I think that's stupid but I'll just have them stuff the bear and leave the back open and I'll put it in once I get home. NOPE! The lady said for safety reasons they cannot leave the back of the bear open. What safety reason can you not leave a bear open in order for me to fulfill my promise to my daughter. Needless to say we put the bear back and left the store with a crying 2 year old. Really frustrated at this store and will not be giving them my business anymore. I use to love the concept of build a bear. I've known many people who have put special items in their bears for a keep sake purpose and I don't get what the problem is with putting a freaking binky in there. read more

This location is located at the Galleria mall in Henderson. It's a cute store for kiddies. Expensive stuffed animals but it's pretty cool. The workers are really nice here. I took my 2-yr old in one day to finally get her very own build-a-bear. The lady was really sweet to her. I picked out a cheapy bear ($10). Still cute & soft though. Hey! she's 2! For those of you who have kids, you know how it is. I wasn't about to get an expensive ass teddy bear only for her to destroy it. LOL!! After picking out the bear you want, you take it to a worker who will stuff it for you. The kids get involved to make it "come to life". They put a little heart in it & everything. Giving it love & whatnot. It's all for the kids! =) You can also have your kid give it a fake bath in a fake bathtub that makes noise & everything. Even groom it! Haha! Then I let my daughter pick out the teddy bears' clothes, shoes & accessories for it. Total for everything was about $30. You get to have the bear try on the clothes like a regular person would do when shopping for clothes & stuff. After everything is picked out, you get on their computer & make it a birth certificate. You can give it a name & everything. Pretty cute. ^_^ I found out you can also have birthday parties @ build-a-bear. If you're interested in that, contact your local build-a-bear. read more

I just have a complaint on the current manager, Stephanie. Everything has been nice, cool and enjoyable in this BAB shop for my little one until today. We had bought multiple bears, bear clothing and accessories from this shop in the past because my lo loves BAB. And as a lover of the shop, she always comes in to check the new models and plays a while in the shop whenever I take her to the mall. And all the shop assistants had been very friendly and accommodating to this before. I believe that all sales professionals understand that part of the function of an outlet is to market. When kids are checking out the toys, they start to fall in love with them. And it leads to sales eventually. But the new manager Stephanie obviously had different opinion. When she anxiously introduced the new models to my lo, we did not show any interest of buying. When my lo played with one model for a while, Stephanie eyed us a few times while all other employees were very calm and pleasantly working. I realized that Stephanie was new, very different and very unfriendly compared with our past two years experience in the shop. I decided to take my kid to go. Meanwhile, I pointed out her unpleasant manner to her, she claimed she was going to call security. And she said that it was a secure concern when my lo pushed the little plush toy car on the empty ground. I think it is completely unnecessary to waste my time to go through this, and let my kid know the ugly side of the world, so we just left. We will continue to be the loyal customer of BAB, but never at this location at Galleria Mall as long as Stephanie works there. She does not have the quality to work in a pure and lovely kids shop. read more
