During a standard visit on April 2nd, the hygienist chipped the patient's front tooth (#8) while flossing--despite being informed ahead of time about existing resin work on both front teeth. This alone reflects a lack of appropriate care and attention. The patient was then required to return the very next day (April 3rd) for a repair--and was charged for it. Just three weeks later, on April 28th, the same repair failed completely, requiring yet another visit. At this point, the situation had already become frustrating, but it worsened significantly during the follow-up. While repairing tooth #8 again, Dr. Loren chipped the adjacent front tooth (#9) and did not acknowledge it. The patient only discovered the damage by requesting a mirror and had to point it out themselves. Even more concerning was the initial response--denying responsibility and suggesting the damage existed prior to the visit. Only after being confronted was the issue addressed. This pattern--causing damage, charging for corrections, and failing to take accountability--undermines patient trust and raises red flags about clinical standards and professionalism. Dental care requires precision, transparency, and responsibility, especially when dealing with highly visible areas like front teeth. Patients deserve providers who stand behind their work and communicate honestly when something goes wrong. Based on this experience, that standard was not met here.
