He really loved how light and "beery" the batter was. Both of us were part of the Clean Plate Club for sure! Food prices are on par with other pubs. I don't go to fish restaurants a lot so I end up at his restaurant about once a year - and he always recognises me and treats me like a lost relative. I have to admit, this impresses me so I will try not to be biased. Their calamari is so nice I only ever have that for my first course and it never fails, and I have been going there for about seven years. Those of you mathematically inclined will have worked out that this is seven visits. A lot of older clientèle there so it is a place to go to for a quiet meal with someone you feel comfortable with - and you'll both enjoy it.
