I ate dinner at this restauarant in Cricklewood, and was very pleasantly surprised. As I walked…read morein, the first clue that it might be good was the glance I took at the bar selection - they seemed to have the best of each type of liquor.
I'd describe the cuisine as fresh, solid Italian food. The mozeralla salad was very well made, with very fresh ingredients. I ordered a baked lasagne for my main, and it took a bit longer than the other mains, which is a good sign: well made, well baked. We also ordered spaghetti bolognese and the meat sauce was amazing.
Sometimes when you order the side vegetables at certain restaurants, you feel that perhaps the vegetable mix came already mixed before it was cooked, if you know what I mean. But not here. I had the sense that the broccoli, green beans, and carrots were all cooked separately and appropriately.
There's an outdoor seating section overlooking Cricklewood Broadway, which is kind of cool and buzzy. Overall, they provide great, friendly service, and with the great Italian food, it makes for a a good experience, at reasonable (not "West End") prices.
