10/10 experience. Food was extremely good, staff was so nice, live music, and would recommend trying the liquid marijuana. We had a French dip and the salmon filet sandwich and would recommend to any friends who plan to come visit! read more

I've been here twice. The first time was pretty good, nothing knocked my socks off. The queso fries were good. The second time was just... not awesome. We were ahead of the lunch rush on graduation day. I ordered a burger and fries. The service was good, but my bun was tough like it was going stale, the burger was sort of tasteless, and the lettuce was sort of brown. My fries were barely cooked, they were cold and white. It could have been a lot worse, I guess, but if there was a day you'd think they'd be on their A-game, it'd be GCSU graduation day. read more

Great Drinks at Deep Roots Festival in Milledgeville, Ga . Service was awesome. People and the atmosphere was awesome.

Buffington's is a local college bar in Milledgeville with an good beer selection. If you do make it to Buffington's be sure to order a shot they call the dead turtle. Tequila Tabasco sauce and pickle juice. The food is so so for barfood. The burgers were and fries where average but the Nachos were excellent. If you're going just to drink I would say it's one of the better bars in Milledgeville. I would imagine the food would improve the more you drink. Live music and good atmosphere. read more

The food was very good. We had shrimp n grits and a skillet burger. Both were very tasty, if a little slow to get to the table. The fried pickles were advertised as world famous or something. They were good, but we've had better. I wouldn't hang my reputation on a dish that was just average. The location, decor and staff were great. read more

Love this shit. Always welcoming and the wings are fantastic. Would definitely recommend going.

Rude. Poor staff and horrible manager. Waited over 45 mins for food and when it came wasn't even hot. Mind you that they weren't busy. Never again. read more

Went here for our anniversary dinner, because a local told us they had a great blue burger. He said they had the best burgers in town. My husband loves blue burgers, and I wanted a steak; I looked at the menu and they had both. The vibe was awesome, The Black Keys and Beck on the speakers. Beautiful wood and iron decor, the giant moose head was a little out of place. But, most importantly the food was great. We were both really pleased. Great food, but I have one suggestion get the baked potato instead of fries. The green beans that come with the steak are fresh and tasty, except they had a lot of grated parm on them. I am not a big fan of the parm, but my husband loved them. Over all really good would definitely go back, and I would like to try the blue burger next time. read more

Food was great service was good. I got the French dip which was cooked great. My girlfriend got the chili burger. She liked it just wished it came with lettuce tomato onions read more

We have eaten here three times. The drinks don't disappoint and they always have specials. The burgers were good, the fish tacos, and fried pickles if you like yours battered. Customer service is always top notch and love the atmosphere especially the window seats. read more

Good restaurant. Great friendly customer service. Great food. The server was very nice, very informative and polite. The inside is very nice and decorative. Food tastes really good. read more

terrible service and don't have food, it's really hot and the chairs are broke they suck!!! read more

A little disheartened to read all of the bad reviews....I absolutely love this place. As in any restaurant, servers come and go...some more quickly than others...and some just have a bad night (speaking from experience), so it is unfair to judge a place based on one bad server...I have had stellar service to moderately bad service is this place, but my food has always been good! The Bob Marley soup should be the staple of this place, it is amazing! Always a good choice for a burger and a beer! read more

My wife and I stopped in for burgers and drinks waitress was a Sweet young lady the beer was good and cold that was the good part now the bad part food order was lost after 30 minuets waitress came to tell us that the ticket was lost and they put in a special order and food will be out in a few minutes when food arrived 20 minuets later one burger was completely raw on the inside the other burger was so over cooked could not be eaten french fries were cold at that point we were done read more

I visited this restaurant a couple weeks ago and was a little disappointed. I ordered a veggie panini , nachos with chili on the side, and queso fries. The panini had small raw veggies on it ( 1 small slice of tomato, hardly any spinach , a tsp of hummus, etc ) the nachos came with everything on the side although I only wanted chili on the side , so it was kind of awkward. The fries were pretty good. My friend had no complaints with his order. I'm sure this place has potential maybe I'll try something different on the menu another time. read more

I tried to go here for lunch with a friend. After sitting for 55 minutes and not receiving the two sandwiches we ordered we had to leave to get to an appointment. The waitress had ignored us for the previous 25 minutes, never updating or letting us know the status of our food. When we told her we were leaving she half-way apologized but did nothing to try to keep our service or offer to quickly get us something to go. After stopping in the restroom I passed her on the way out and she again ignored me. Since they don't seem to care about their customers, we won't be back! read more

The burger was great. The fried pickles are delicious. The fried green tomatoes were perfection! Great friendly service too.

Good food, an amazing band, and cheap! The art decoration on the walls was really interesting, and the staff was fast, friendly, and efficient. We had a blast! read more

Get the Milly double hamburger served on grilled cheese & chili! It's delicious! Worth the price; could feed two or perhaps 8 starving Ethiopian kids. read more

Good food, but a little pricey. They have a popular trivia night and, my favorite, karaoke night. Another plus is the staff is always friendly. If you're a college student, it's a good place to go if you want to get away from the Greekness that takes over most of the other bars in the area. read more

Went to this place at around 6 o'clock on a Friday and man was it hot. No air conditioning or something. We sat at the bar, waiting about fifteen minutes (without getting served) and walked out with sweat pouring off our face. Maybe we came at a bad time but I won't be back. read more

Hot wings were ok -have had better have had worse. At least they were hot when they arrived. I'll give them a "C". Asked for celery with them and they threw in about three scrawny half limp pieces. Service gets a "C-" was never here, could have sold me more wings and another beer but had to ask another server to find him for me so I just asked for my ticket when he finally got back to me. read more

Good food. Everything I've had has been very flavorful. I often wish there was a larger portion. Pleasant, attentive servers. Prices are ok, but I think a tad pricy compared to the amount of food sometimes. The kitchen is often slow. Don't go if you are in a hurry. Otherwise, go for it! You'll enjoy the food and atmosphere. I've never been disappointed with the quality and taste of the food. read more

Always polite, never missing anything from our order, even when they're busy! There's nothing quite like a Buff burger!

So I went on a business trip, and this was one of the restaurants recommended to me by the locals. We went during lunch, so didn't get see any bands play, even though there was a big stage covered by a curtain in the back. Got myself a bacon burger, it was really good, good size & cooked perfectly. Fries were a bit under seasoned but good enough. Definitely a cool place to drop by. read more

The food and atmosphere are both great. The burger is just like if you made it at home. And the bands that these guys are bringing in are great. You know your doing something right when there's girls dancing on the the tables. Good job guys! read more

Decent food and fairly decent place if you catch it before all the college kids come in. After that its pretty much a hassle and not worth dealing with frat boys and girls. The food is decent traditional bar food. read more

Oh, Buffington's. I went to Milledgeville for a week long writer's workshop, and almost for graduate school. You were the first place I ever tried fried pickles, out of pressure from my professor/advisor, Bret Lott. Thanks, Bret, and Buffington's, for introducing me to one of my favorite foods. read more

Do yourself a favor..... philly cheese steak, crinkle fires, queso, and liquid marijuana. You will thank me later!!

Food is good I like the queso fries, wings are tiny though. Only problem is it takes 45-90min to get food. Lil pricey too. Happy hour nice tho 3.3/5 read more

I've come here often and order several different things and my complaints are always the same. The portion sizes are completely cheap and small. The burgers are way too small for what one would expect given the descriptions of the food and the price, which is too high I might add for the little amount of food you get. Not to mention the bad customer service. The waiters and waitresses are all friends, they're joking around they're taking along time to bring simple things like drink refills because they just have to TALK. Your food is back there getting cold because Pamela and Rachel (fake names) are chatting it up in the front. All I know is, I don't eat at buffington's, and unless changes are made you shouldn't either. read more

This place was AWFUL. I went there on a Friday, probably my first mistake. My friend and I couldn't really get service because of two reasons. 1.) We weren't drinking. 2.) We weren't men. Our waitress had her cleavage all out for the next available man. Was not polite and my food was cold and tasted terrible. The next day I got food poisoning. The only reason I came here was for the fried pickles, which are good, but are probably frozen. Just don't eat here. It's terrible. read more

We were one of the first tables for a saturday lunch service. My group did not wait at all when we first walked in. After sitting down and ordering, we waited over an hour for our food as water from the airconditioning vents dripped onto our table. Half the table was served their meals while the other half of the table had to wait for an additional 15 minutes. Although the service was subpar, the food was good. My group enjoyed their meals. read more

Oh the Buff. I enjoyed this place because depending on what time you went, it could be super crowded and lively, or quiet and relaxing. Their burgers are good, but I typically ate elsewhere and just enjoyed drinks here. Karaoke night is fun to watch. Solid place all around. Bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable. read more

Buffington's is my second home here in Milledgeville. I'll stop in on my walk home to see friends both sitting at the bar and working behind it. Stevie, one of my favorite bartenders, asks, "Vodka cranberry, right?" as if she doesn't already know the answer. I'll plan on staying for a drink or two because it's happy hour but I'll end up staying because the people that frequent Buff's are such good company. So I order dinner, usually a delicious bowl of Bob Marley soup or occasionally an original Buff Burger. Buffington's has good food and such a welcoming atmosphere. It's a great places for friends to hang out. I've also gone there alone several times and have made a new friend or two by the time I left. Whether it be befriending the old man who is in town on business by talking about his fascinating career or discussing the latest Netflix original with the new waitress, I always leave Buff's happier than I came. read more

Wow. Can't begin to describe how bad this was. When we walked in and AFTER we ordered drinks, we were told they were out of burgers AND the specials. We opted for a panini, which sounded ok at the time but when it arrived, it was three chicken fingers on pressed white bread and five fries. I kid you not, five fries. Never eating here again. If it wasn't so pathetic, it would've been funny. read more

The local hippie hangout. Lots of "enlightened" college kids with big glasses and tight pants. During my last visit, it took almost an entire hour to receive our food which was very average. read more

The Brick and Amici's both had a wait at lunch today so we decided to go to Buffington's. The restaurant was not busy and there were only about 3 or 4 tables with people sitting at them. We placed an order for an appetizer and it came fairly quickly. We placed our order for our meals and my husband asked for his side salad first because he was quite hungry. We waited and waited and our waitress told us there was only one chef working but our food would be ready in about 10 minutes. My husband again asked for his salad. We waited and waited and the waitress came back and said there was only 1 ticket ahead of us and our food would be up in about 5 minutes...still no salad. Food was delivered to 3 other tables that came in after us and we decided that if the next food that came out wasn't ours we were leaving. Finally our food came out (with the side salad) and it was lukewarm. By this time we had been in the restaurant an hour and a half. The poor waitress came over with who we assume was the manager and the manager said she could not explain why our food was not hot. She mentioned something about a heat lamp and offered to discount the meal. My husband told her we did not want a discount but he did want the check. We will never go back to Buffington's again! read more

I think the food is VERY good for a sports bar, especially one with late night entertainment. They changed the menu a while back and I actually prefer the other menu, but there's a good variety of food. The Bob Marley Soup is very unusual (like nothing I've ever found elsewhere) and excellent. Like someone said earlier, they probably have the best fried pickles I've had anywhere. The burgers are VERY good, but I did like the ones available on the earlier menu. The beer is always cold and I find that the prices have been and are always very reasonable. Frankly, this is our go-to place. read more

My daughter and boyfriend, both students, said we should eat there, and recommended burgers. I'm sure the food is very good at times, but our night was not that time. We started with fried pickles and mushrooms. The pickles were said to be "pretty good," and the mushrooms were very good. I ordered a burger with great expectations. Our waitress disappeared for about 50 minutes at that point. The place was moderately busy. She finally asked if we were still working on the pickles, and my wife asked if the food was coming. Right after that it arrived. My burger was broken in half, like someone had looked to see if it was done. The buns were so soggy, it was obvious they had sat for some time with lettuce and tomato soaking in. It was horrible, and cold. I didn't eat it. Thankfully the fries were edible. It took another 20 minutes to get the check from another waiter. As I said, you may have a good experience with great food, but I won't go back. The poor service is not worth it, and the chance of bad food seals the deal for me. read more
