Due to the limited hours we missed it our first day because we had to head out early to the ice field parkway. We booked the king deluxe, which was located in the carriage house. It had a beautiful extra large soaking tub, radiant heated shower floor, bar sink, mini fridge, sun window, screened patio, and faux fireplace. I had a wonderful spa like soak every evening. The shared kitchen is loaded with goodies, so you never have to worry about going hungry. Walk out the patio doors from the living room and you are relaxing with a beautiful "Mountain View". Get it? Plenty of room to park in the back drive. The landlords are great. Very friendly and accommodating. The house is so clean, you could eat from the floor. Upon waking and going downstairs for breakfast I know I thought I was still sleeping the food that Pete bought out form the kitchen for us was fantastic. Alex the magic maker in the kitchen did not disappoint. Three courses of just right as Goldy Locks says . You just need to spend 5 minutes with Pete and Alex and the genuine welcome you feel makes you somehow light on your feet for your travels for the rest of the day. Not only was this extremely affordable the host Clara is Banff's real gem. She was the sweetest lady and just wanted to make sure that we had a good time. The room we stayed in had a really comfortable queen bed and a bathroom for my friend and I to share that was in the room itself. She has a common area in the downstairs with couches and a pool table as well. The breakfast we had was home made pastries that were absolutely delicious. The room was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. We stayed in Room 311, which I would highly recommend. It features a private outdoor jacuzzi on the deck, a separate bedroom, a microwave, and a small refrigerator--perfect for a relaxing Banff getaway. One thing to note is that parking can be a bit challenging if you have a larger vehicle. Our truck exceeded the 5'9" height restriction for some parking areas, and much of the nearby street parking is reserved for permit holders. However, this was a minor inconvenience compared to the overall quality of our stay. What truly stood out was the customer service. Jay Ann, who was working at the front desk and is originally from the Philippines, was absolutely wonderful. She was warm, professional, kind, and very helpful during both our stay and checkout process. Her hospitality made a great impression on us. The hotel's location is another major advantage--it's within easy walking distance of downtown Banff, restaurants, shops, and local attractions. We would gladly stay here again and would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Banff. Clean rooms, excellent service, and a good location made for a memorable stay.

It made it feel like we were in a cabin. Services/Staff - We had hot breakfast in their dining room and free parking. They had a fully stocked coffee/tea bar in the lobby available 24/7, which I enjoyed. I would go downstairs before bedtime almost every night to grab coffee and tea. The staff were friendly. They always greeted us whenever we saw them, answered our questions, and gave us assistance when we needed. Would I come back? Yes. I would stay here again. I would recommend it.

The room was very quiet, clean and comfortable, with every amenity I could possibly desire. It had free, fast wifi (Skype worked well). It looked very modern and even had a nice, spacious bathroom with granite countertops and a beautifully tiled shower. They provided shampoo, soap, conditioner, lotion, a hair dryer and a coffee maker with coffee. The room had a thermostat with a heater that worked well when it dropped down to -9 degrees, and also a space heater in the closet. Downstairs they provided a free hot breakfast every morning in their dining room with pretty much anything you could think of. Breakfast included bananas, apples, bacon, sausage, eggs, French toast, pancakes, pastries, muffins, yogurt, toast, cereal, milk, OJ and coffee. Staff was extremely friendly and checking in was a breeze. The only downside is that they don't really have parking (maybe 1 or 2 spaces down a long driveway in the back that's difficult to turn around in). However, we managed to find street parking right out front or close by at just about anytime of day or night during our stay.

We were not informed that there was an employee on the premises overnight until the next morning. The house was shaking...I don't know how this employee didn't take it upon themselves to quiet these guests. Do not waste your money.

The ceiling was low and hit my head sometimes but alright. I could open the window freely and enjoy the evening breeze while napping. You will get free breakfast but don't expect much. Four kinds of cereals, toast, milk, coffee and not 100% orange juice lol There is a community kitchen and you can use all tools freely. Even the fridge too. My advice: If the loft is available, ask for it. More privacy and quietness. Bring a pair flip-flops. As there is no bath mat, wearing flip-flops is better after shower. Better to have a small towel for yourself. The hostel provide you only a bath towel. There is a locker inside of your dorm. Bring a lock for that. The number of coat hungers were not enough. I saw some girls use the handrails for hanging wet clothing. There are etiquettes and manners in the hostel. Please considerate for others, especially after quiet time.
