The ratings for this place are quite good so I placed an order for 1/8 cord, including delivery and stacking in my backyard. I gave instructions and paid online. They quickly sent my delivery appointment confirmation and my wife was waiting at home at the appointed time of 4pm on Friday. I even called and left a voicemail trying to confirm. Well....they never showed up. No calls, no text, no emails. I called, texted and emailed them asking if they were coming and ........ nothing. I reversed the charge on my credit card and now wait (not holding my breath) for any type of reply. After texting them again Monday afternoon, they finally texted me back. I had made an error on the address line and, instead of calling me to clarify, their delivery guy just went home. No effort to track me down. He did offer to credit me on my credit card and I accepted.

I told him I needed (2) Aleppo Pine trees removed. He promised he and his crew could do this job for $4000. He said they'd be out to my home the following Tuesday. When Tuesday came there was no Jose and no crew. When I called to find out what happened. He said "oh you wanted this Tuesday?" I told him that was the day he picked. Jose said he couldn't do that Tuesday so he said they would definitely be out on that Thursday, 2 days later. When they didn't show up on that day Jose said his main climber had a family emergency and they would need to reschedule. I asked when are you coming out because so far all I'm hearing are excuses. He promised me that he would be out come Hell or High Water for sure on the following Monday, today. When he and his crew got here, his main climber said that the trees were too big and that he was afraid to do the job. Excuse number 3. He said he'd have to call me Back and that maybe they could come out next week. So far this "fly by night" operation has canceled on me 3 times and they said that they underbid the job too. I wouldn't recommend JLG Tree Services to my worst enemy. Lots of empty promises and a TON of excuses.

This location here is where you actually purchase and pick up the supplies. We were able to find everything we needed for our projects at Thompson. We made several trips; scoops of base and sand, sacks of material, and pallets of pavers. Fairly quick to get everything too, not a long wait ever, if any. The staff at this materials location is definitely not as friendly or helpful as the Design location, but then they aren't trying to get your business, at this point they already have it. The people at the counter are still nice enough and fairly helpful, depending on who you talk to. The workers in the back getting the scoops and pallets are quick and get the job done fast, they are the backbone! Pricing is great! And took hardly any time to get what we needed. Keep in mind you have to actually look at the designs and decide what you want at the Design location then order and pay for your items at this location, so that's where it got slightly confusing. And maybe because on our first trip there, the computers were down, so things were a bit amiss. However, if just getting scoops or non-design items then you can go directly to this location to get that type of material. See? It's a bit confusing, but you'll catch on. If we can, anyone can! See you next time!
