Workout Anytime (Dallas, NC)…read more I would NOT recommend Workout Anytime in Dallas, NC, based on my family's experience. My son was charged unauthorized fees of $37.00 and $67.49. We immediately disputed the charges with our bank and stopped using the gym because we no longer trusted its billing practices. After investigating the transactions, the bank ruled in our favor and credited the disputed charges back to our account. A couple of months later, we were shocked to receive a collection notice for $833.48 from a debt collection agency. We believe this situation could have been avoided with accurate billing. This experience has been extremely frustrating and stressful. I encourage anyone considering a membership to carefully monitor their bank statements regularly and keep records of all payments. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this location.

I've been working with Michael at Shape Up for roughly a year and a half and I can't speak highly…read moreenough of my experience. When I came to him I was still dealing with pain from a shoulder surgery, I hadn't regularly worked out in over a year, and I had some bad habits from my time in the Army. From the start I was impressed. He took great care to remind me that doing things properly and painlessly was the goal, regardless of how much (or how little) weight was being moved. The workout plan during our sessions and outside of them has allowed me to be far more consistent and make the most of my schedule. His studio is outstanding, and the constant addition of new equipment and tools to help his clients always impresses me. The results are evident in the strength I've gained, and I'm in the best shape I've been in a very long time. Thank you Michael!

Shape Up Fitness & Wellness Consulting is a best kept fitness secret in Charlotte. They offer…read moretraditional and nontraditional ways to get fit in a still-expanding studio on Park Rd. I have received a wellness consultation there and participated in their bootcamp classes. You also have the option of one-on-one personal training where the attention is all on you and your fitness goals or you can opt for the bootcamp classes (what I did!) which are small groups between 5-10 individuals, where you will will feel like you are in basic training for the Army.:) My experience with bootcamp and trainers: The bootcamp exercises vary...sprints, jumping rope, circuits, abs, squats and more. It's truly one of those feelings where it hurts but feels good. You know what I mean? You know you are working hard but it helps get results. You can burn 700+ calories in just one session! The owner Michael (who also trains) and one of the trainers Tyson (she really works you out!!) really care about your fitness goals and they do not yell at you like in real basic training! In addition to training, Shape Up gives you nutritional tips and also has their own newsletter that includes articles based around fitness/nutrition, as well as a healthy recipe that helps you to stay the course. I know when I get it in my inbox, it helps me to stay on track! The prices are in line with other studios but the personal attention they give goes far beyond many fitness places.

I have been Instagram stalking them for a while now and finally had an opportunity to quit creepin and actually participate. No matter how many times you go to a gym or to a new place, you always feel like everyone stares at you when you first walk in. Well, maybe they are but each coach made a point come over and introduce themselves. I got a brief rundown of the facility and I was putting my bag away/getting water, more and more kept introducing themselves. Whether this is a one-off, or just the culture of 926, I was ridiculously impressed and immediately made to feel "at home." The workout I attended was a free community workout and it did not disappoint. Greatly programming but then also greatly coaching. I rarely do any overhead lifting. The coaches noticed some form issues and took time to coach me through without interfering with the overall workout. My... Absolute... Favorite... Kind... Of... Coaching. Because let's be honest, we are all competitive and who really wants to stop working out to talk? Even if you really should... Although, I am pretty positive they would have made me if I were doing something a little too crazy. The facility is AMAZING. Large, spacious, clean... AND IT SMELLS SO GOOD. Growing up and working in gymnastics facilities my entire life, I expect to smell feet, chalk and sweat in any workout facility I go into. Not here. I just wanted to lay on the ground and make turf-angels on the floor but I just met these people and couldn't show my crazy just yet. Get in on this ASAP as everything is new, bright and shiny. But really, it was the people that made it awesome. The location is spot-on too. Conveniently located off 73, but once you are inside "the gates" you almost feel like you are secluded and sectioned off from the rest of the world. Kind of ideal when you are trying to get into a certain "zone" to push yourself in your workout. I will definitely be adding CrossFit 926 to my circle of facilities to workout at.

Unfortunately, there is one recurring issue that's making me consider canceling my membership. A couple of mornings each week, very early in the day, a group of members brings their own music and plays it so loudly that it can be heard throughout multiple saunas, even with their sauna door closed. I genuinely admire their commitment to their workouts, and I have no issue with them listening to their own music. The problem is simply the volume. The loud music competes with the relaxing music the gym is already playing, creating an overwhelming mix of sounds. On top of that, their yelling and excitement during their workout make it nearly impossible to hear the instructor in my own session or experience the peaceful atmosphere the gym is designed to provide. This has turned what should be a calming, restorative experience into a stressful and distracting one. It's especially disappointing because I truly love everything else about this place. If this issue could be addressed--whether by enforcing reasonable volume levels or ensuring music stays within the sauna it's being played in--I would happily continue my membership. I hope management considers this feedback because I believe the peaceful environment is the heart of what makes this gym special.

When you become a meme we you have 24 hour access and you can take a class any time of day or night. Classes are held in a room that holds up to 3 people. The rooms are reminiscent of a sauna and for good reason. They have wooden floors, ceilings and walls and shall I mention that rooms are heated from 125 to 128 degree infrared heat. Classes are 15 to 30 minutes long. There is a large variety of classes. You can take yoga, barre, cycle, Pilates, ISO and more. I really enjoy that the rooms are small and only allows a few people. The members all seem to be very friendly. I especially love that the members are diverse in gender, age, weight, strength and shape. I don't feel pressured to win but only to do my best and enjoy my workout. I love the heat. The infrared heat is great for detox, pain in the body, increase sleep, decrease stress, help with post recovery, burn more calories faster and more. Try out a class. I feel great afterwards and look forward to going back. They even have an app the connects to your Apple Watch, Fitbit or you can record your calories burned separately. I look forward to many more workouts

I had the best experience my very first time. I was helped by the sweetest gal named Hidaya, she really did a great job giving me a tour and explaining everything to me! I love how private my workouts are, I feel like it allows me to go all out and not be self conscious about who else is there watching me. You can use the app to book your workout sessions in advance and that is so great because it holds you accountable. It gives you somewhere to be at a certain time and that's what I need in my life. The other day I went to workout because I was stressed after a work meeting and it immediately eased my mood. The sauna expereince is just different and really perfect for me. I recommend checking out this gym if you're in need of something different and helpful. Just be prepared to SWEAT!

I had a amazing time using the sauna studio, but towards my second week my daughter signed up with me .. she was super excited to join. Our first session together gave her the push she needed to start a healthy work out plan. Well, after her first few days over the past memorial day weekend I was sent a text that I brought an unauthorized guest and that my account will have $20 extra fee for the following month and to note that no one pregnant should be in the sauna and also I would need to have the proper mat to be in the sauna. Well I was a bit taken by the accusations that I had a pregnant unauthorized guest with me. It was my daughter who came with me that was just signed up a week ago. I went to speak with the staff @ the highland Creek/ prosperity area Hotworx and was said that it didn't look like the same person who I signed up. Not only did she looks different but she is now being viewed as pregnant woman. I told the staff that's the reason she is signed up because to work out because of her wanting to loose weight and her problem area was her abdomen area. Upon talking to the staff one person in particular asked how can we fix this? She went on to say She didn't look like the same person..mind you she was the front desk staff who actually help my daughter get signed up.My daughter was very hurt by them thinking she looked pregnant and was / is not pregnant. Never once was I asked who is the person with me at the sauna or a phone call to inquire. When I went in they said on the video that is always recording she looks different. I immediately asked to cancel my membership. The person who texted me was Taylor at hotworx Highland Creek. She did not allow me to verify or give and information before assuming what was seen on a video.
