Say it with me now... JLC, JLC... The name change has always bothered me. I mean John Labatt has history in this city so yeah, you can call it what you want but it will remain that to me. At any rate for the longest time we haven't had the greatest venues for large arena style concerts and productions. When I was little I remember having to go to London Gardens to see Alice Cooper... okay, that dates me but it was crap for concerts and I longed for something like this as I had to travel to see any real names. The venue has now seen the likes of tons of greats (Cher, Bowie, Neil Diamond, Green Day, Def Leppard etc etc) and tons of not so greats (I'm looking at you Metro Station... *shivers*) anyhow that's rather subjective anyways. The point is the arena is a big draw not just for knights games but basketball games, broadway productions, concerts etc. and it does not disappoint. There is always something going on here for all walks of life. Tonight I had the pleasure of revisiting it for Hedley and I remember why I like it so. Okay the Tiki Bar that serves smoothies has a lot to do with it (with or without alcohol), and the fact that I have the best bathrooms stalked out. When you are a girl at a crowded show you need to know which ones get bogged down or run out of tissue first and which ones always seem to be good to go. But the main thing is the acoustics. They are great whether back of the house nosebleeds or front row. I will say that there is a strange sound thing that does occasionally happen at the back of the floor when full arena shows are going on. But aside from that you can sit in good ole 303, or 106 or Floor 3, Row A and still hear the show amazingly. The con which almost gets it knocked down. Dasani water. I just want normal bottled water people!!! Oh well, I just had a smoothie instead and got over it ;)

Il Divo - Amor and Passion Tour 2016

I have been to Budweiser Gardens several times for various concerts. I've seen The Goo Goo Dolls here twice, also the Dixie Chicks and just recently Il Divo. This venue has always been a great venue to see concerts, I had even come out to London before I even lived here for a concert (at the time it was formally known as The John Labatt Centre). I think it's one of the larger venues in this city, and living downtown, a quick 15 minute walk from my place. Last night, Il Divo had their Amor and Passion 2016 tour stop here and I surprised my boyfriend by taking him, he loves Il Divo and I thought a surprise would be nice! I ordered the tickets the day before and they were ready at Will Call/The Box Office when I came to pick them up the next day. Very easy to order, and although where our seats were, the cheapest tickets were $71.50, plus a $10.50 convenience fee, the seats were not that bad. We had seats in section 310, way way way way up near the back. It was the RBC Theatre that hosted this event, so it wasn't the entire theatre, I would assume they used 1/3 of the space. I would have given the venue 4 stars, but the fact that I had to pay $23 for two drinks was absolutely absurd. All the merchandise, food and drink in this venue is super expensive. All in all for about 4 drinks (2 beers, a cider and a bottle of water) I think we ended up paying $40. Which is way too expensive. I understand making a profit, but this was way too much. I definitely enjoyed this venue, the seating wasn't bad and the sound and music was very enjoyable. The price could be a bit cheaper, but for once in a while, and the location of this venue, it's a great place to come to enjoy what it has to offer.

Six years and a name change later, this Bud's for you. Haha...ha? I had to do it, even though it's still the JLC to me. Still a rock solid venue. Acoustics good. Sight lines good. The only annoying thing is how bright the "Bud" red is as their signage is all around. Yes, the point but it's like in yo'face, Labatt!

Here to watch Johnny Reid with my daughter . JH Shiplett is the opening act. Excited to see Johnny

Went to Budweiser Gardens to see Johnny Reid. Easy to order tickets. Easy to get in, no long line ups. Ate at one if their kiosks called Wich is Wich. Very good sandwiches but $25.00 later... Yikes. Had great seats and what an amazing concert. The sound was amazing and lighting was beautiful . Had a great night.

The day we arrived, it was overcast and a bit rainy but we were happy there was a large covered seating area where we could take shelter when it started raining. Most of the seats had a good view of the field. The entry and exit was easy to get to. One point of interest was a huge nest on top of the lights where a bird kept bringing food back and forth to its nest. During the game there was fun activities where kids could run the bases and also some giveaways from a Domino's pizza mascot. It was a fun way to spend the afternoon.

I actually grew up in the area and have spent countless nights watching the London Majors play baseball - which is a lot of fun and surprisingly affordable. They also host free movie nights and other special events from time to time. The field is maintained in pristine condition by the City of London, as a tribute to players past and present; a true community treasure. The park is used constantly and for the past 134 years has been the home of minor, senior and professional baseball and is still home to the London Majors. If you've never been to a game - go. Admission is like seven dollars and you can get a beer for five or six bucks and a hot dog for a few more. My boys and I go to at least a few games each season and I hope to increase that number dramatically this year. A fun and affordable night out for the entire family and just a wonderful setting. PLAY BALL!

If you try going to the administration staff, such as the so-called 'Dean of Students', she'll side with the teacher and probably cut you down as well. BTW, she's nothing but a glorified administrator and an absolutely horrible person as well. Westervelt is a business, nothing else. Take the money you'd spend here on an 'education' and use it to go to a real school. Nobody in whatever field of work you are going for takes this school seriously. The only reason anyone in the health care programs get jobs is because of a huge shortage in people coming from a public college like Fanshawe or Cambrian. If it comes down to a Westervelt (or any private school grad) or a student that attended Fanshawe, the latter will ALWAYS be top choice. This school also silences (or tries to) any of it's critics. That's why it's so hard to find anything negative about them online. Instead of trying to fix the problems and listen to angry customers, they just send them cease & desist orders. This also happens to anyone that even dares agree with those critics. To any prospective student of Westervelt that reads this, please don't make the mistake I and many others have made. Take the time to enroll in a normal college. It may end up taking you twice as long, but in the end, you will be glad you did it.

From the moment I connected with the Registrar, I was met with a level of professionalism, support, and clarity that immediately set the tone for what would become an extraordinary academic journey. This program is not easy, and I say that with immense respect--because true mastery never is. The course structure is intensely thorough, deeply academic, and strategically built to ensure students don't just pass--they transform into world-class osteopaths. Everything is accessible 100% online, and yet, the expectations are real. You must study. You must engage. You must do the work. But if you do--what awaits on the other side is nothing short of greatness. One of the most impressive developments is that now multiple associations across the globe accept graduates from the London College of Osteopathy, including the highly respected Canadian Union of Osteopaths--a gatekeeper of excellence known for its tough entry requirements. The inclusion of London College on this list is a testament to the academic integrity and international recognition the institution has earned. Let's talk about cost--the value proposition is unbeatable. For the quality of training, international acceptance, and the level of academic discipline, the price is extremely reasonable. But here's the truth: this is not about just buying a diploma. This is about earning your spot in a profession that changes lives. And the London College of Osteopathy gives you all the tools--if you're willing to put in the work. My advice to every new student is simple: stay curious. Explore YouTube tutorials, dig deeper into the training modules, ask questions, research techniques, and above all, believe in your capacity to become the best. Because this program will challenge you--but it will also shape you into an osteopath who can stand proudly among the best in the world. So stop complaining. Start evolving. This is your time.
