Employees will not make any effort to reference, itemize, close, explain, discuss, confirm, or deny any of their line item charges to my rental contract or its inaccurate charges of almost $8,000. The Moore County Airport Hertz is a franchise. I only learned the existence of franchises from my experience. The national Hertz corporation will not help work to resolve a dispute with a franchise. Therefore, the only assistance I was able to receive was from the Moore County Airport agents. These agents; Denied me the right to speak to a supervisor, except one. That employee ignored at least a dozen requests for contact before responding. Ignored email requests for resolution Denied and hid from me the existence of a Director of Operations. Quotes from MCA agents: "There is no manager and hasn't been one for some time." "I can see the breakdown [of costs] I can't tell you about it." "I don't know who is in charge of the tow bill". "It's not my responsibility to fix that bill. That's not what I'm here for." "There is no breakdown [of the charges]." "We can't change anything on the contract. It doesn't exist." "A supervisor won't help". Kathleen Osorio, the Director of Operations Eastern North Carolina, knew about and ignored all of my requests for communication. with a lucky break, I was finally able to uncover her email address. I've been an Alamo Insider member for many years, a membership that usually provides me the ultimate convenience upon landing--walking straight to my assigned car and heading out on my trip with zero friction, and I reserve my vehicle ahead of time using the Alamo app. While Alamo typically nails this "easy" experience, my recent stop at the Raleigh-Durham airport didn't quite deliver the "easy" experience I've come to expect. Upon landing, the Alamo app indicated I'd still need to visit the counter for a car assignment. RDU still requires travelers to board a shuttle bus for transportation to the rental car lot, but thankfully, the buses run frequently so we didn't wait long. When we arrived at the lot, I was mildly discouraged to see a line snaking out of the office with only one customer service rep on duty. However, kudos to the on-duty manager for quickly recognizing the queue and offering to process several reservations at the adjacent National desk. The customer service rep who helped me was great at getting our trip back on track -- I had my license, credit card, and reservation number ready-to-go and they didn't try to push any "add-ons" like the collision damage waiver or satellite radio, which I appreciated (but am sure that Alamo's corporate overlords at Enterprise Holdings will be disappointed to read). I was, however, somewhat frustrated they didn't have the full-size hybrid sedan I originally requested, especially since I had a lot of driving to do. (At this point, I'm reminded of the Seinfeld episode where Jerry exclaims in exasperation: "You know how to take the reservation, you just don't know how to hold the reservation. And that's really the most important part of the reservation: the holding!") I was initially assigned a Kia K5 from a lower vehicle class, which showed significant wear and tear and several dings upon inspection. When I returned to the office to request a different vehicle, the rep handled it professionally and quickly found a 2026 Toyota Camry hybrid with less than 3,000 miles on the odometer. The rest of the rental went smoothly -- the nearly new Camry performed perfectly and the drop-off process was a breeze. They were very pleasant and informative during our phone conversation in preparing us on how the process worked with my insurance. Made my appointment for the next morning at 9:00 am. We arrived at our local Enterprise in Asheboro located in a small shopping center just off E. Dixie Dr. We were immediately greeted at the door by two associates . The office was clean and had clear signs posting about face coverings as well as social distancing. Aaron was the associates that helped us and he did an amazing job. He was very clean and pleasant to deal with. He allowed me to look over each car and choose the one to my liking and satisfaction. He did a full walk around with me taking note of any damage as to see that it was noted before me leaving. Arron made our experience as much of a pleasant one as possible the situation had been a difficult one and no one ever wants a rental due to an accident but he definitely made our experience as easy as he could and we appreciate that more than he will ever know . We even were able to get prepaid gas at a set price of 2.25 so we didn't have to return the car with a full tank which was a great incentive since gas is average 2.88 right now.

This is a VERY poor way to run a business that has a net worth of 12.8 billion dollars. Your employees should not be put in the predicament that this young man was put in on Monday, May 3. He was hardworking, positive, and apologetic -- though NONE of the circumstances were his fault. If you cannot afford to staff your locations you should not continue to offer services. It is unfair to the customers and your employees to operate under these conditions.
