Used Allied Pickfords to move from Wellington to Cambridge. The first thing the Wellington guy said…read moreto me (owner operator) when they showed up at the crack of noon was "I have been dreading this job." Great entry. I should have cancelled right then. Appallingly bad "packing." They didn't wrap things or even put things in boxes. They were so behind (also started day two really late) that by 6pm on a Friday night they were just throwing stuff in the container -- including furniture. I couldn't believe it and asked them several times to pack things properly. As soon as I was out of eyesight I guess they just carried on throwing stuff in. In Cambridge, the Hamilton crew were really professional and couldn't believe the crappy job the Wellington crew had done. As soon as they opened the container they started taking photos of stuff that was everywhere. As expected, lots of broken and damaged items. I have followed up by phone and via email 9 times at this point and no one has done anything at all. I was told once that someone would get back to me the next day. Three weeks later and multiple questions and phone calls from me.... nothing. Terrible customer service. Not the careful movers they claimed to be. Would never, ever, recommend using their Wellington people again. Shame as the Hamilton crew were professional and really good -- as one would expect for such a pricey undertaking.

After waiting an hour, we…read morecalled, emailed, sent text messages, and left voice messages asking for updates but we did not hear back - and have still not received a response a day later!! Just appalling customer service. We had to call around for an alternative moving company at the last minute, and the delay affected all our other moving arrangements we'd made. If you want reliable, helpful service I STRONGLY suggest you seek other, more professional firms and avoid this one altogether.
