Our recent international move with Allied NZ was by far the worst experience we've had in five relocations. The packing quality was extremely poor, with many items such as books, paperwork, and files carelessly tossed into boxes. As a result, numerous items were received damaged. Additionally, we found rubbish--including empty Monster Energy drink cans, used tape reels, and plastic packing straps--packed in with our belongings.
Despite specifically requesting floor protection in advance, none was used during the pack-up of our home. This negligence caused damage to our floors, and we are now pursuing an insurance claim with Allied to address the issue.
To make matters worse, we learned that Allied subcontracts jobs to "owner-drivers," who seem to run their own companies under the Allied brand. This arrangement was never disclosed to us and has raised serious concerns about accountability and quality control. It felt as though our move was handed off to an unvetted third party with no proper oversight.
Having moved internationally multiple times, we expected a far higher standard of service. Unfortunately, Allied NZ fell well short, and we would strongly advise against using their services until they address these serious issues. Customers pay a premium and deserve far better. read more
