    Horrible, horrible, HORRIBLE. Negative 10 stars if I could. Our flight arrived late afternoon/early evening on a Friday. When we got to the rental car area, Budget/Avis was the only company with a line. There was ONE person working. They know how many rentals there are as we tell them our flight information upon booking. We waited 1.5 hours to get to the counter and receive our car rental information. That is absolutely ridiculous, frustrating and outrageous. We paid the higher price to book a Suburban "or similar" as it specifically said there was more room for luggage. We did not get a suburban or even something similar. It was a cramped Infinity with nowhere near enough room for our luggage. We had to put one on the backseat in between my two adult aged kids and another one on the console in the middle row between me and my mom. (See photos) Gosh I'm getting worked up thinking about our terrible situation. The car had a horrendous, ANNOYING loud sound the entire time we drove it. No expensive luxury car should sound like that. Not to mention, there was a lot of damage and scratches, etc to the car. I was sure to take video and pictures just in case after the fact, they try to say that we did it. NEVER AGAIN will I rent from Budget.

    Beware the "deals" offered by Sun Country and other companies using Budget with deceptive pricing. After reading similar complaints from others, I'm not sure why more hasn't been done about Budget's deceptive practices. BBB and others will be next contacts. After returning the vehicle with a full tank and on time, I was charged $170 in additional fees, including gas charges ($4), customer facility charge ($5.90/day- $53.10), a 14.2%surcharge (no explanation but $51.82), and 11.11% concession recovery fee ($31.58). These fees should be included in the original price at purchase instead of tacking them on afterwards to recover the discount we supposedly received.

    Parked in the car return with a full tank of gas.  They fraudulently applied a $90 gas charge on my bill.

    They have no staff = leaving a desk attendant alone when training, no drop off person, insane lines. It's no wonder they have no staff

    Been in line for 45 mins. They only have two people working with 30+ customers waiting. Its crazy, unprofessional, and a waste of time.

It says for terminal 2 to go to the counter for your keys, but that's wrong, you just go to the car area. No one from Alamo was here so I dealt with enterprise, which was such an awesome experience! The woman showed me the 10+ cars to choose from (mid size sedan) and let me pick whatever I wanted. She explained that I take it to the exit area, show them my drivers license and that's it. On my way out, me and the guy chit chat, and I mentioned I'm used to driving a truck. He told me I could get a truck if I wanted, and keep the same price!!! I was ecstatic!! He backed the car up behind me and I parked and grabbed the truck. They have so many new vehicles at this place! It was a 2025 4x4 F150. It was the only truck I seen, and it was so nice to drive it around. He gave me a card showing the address I need to do the drop off for, based on my airline I'm flying out on. This made things super easy when doing the return!! This was probably the best experience I've had at a rental car place!

(Considering all of the rate increases) I will rent from here again, as long as, the process of getting a vehicle is as smooth as this process was. Give the entire staff raises and a week off for having awesome customer service!!!

I made the reservation weeks ago and selected "Manager's Selection" before I knew it would be snowing when I arrived in April. Upon arrival, they insisted on trying to upcharge me $60+ for an AWD vehicle even though their own website and others were suggesting SUV rentals would be less expensive than what I was originally charged. Most rental car companies would insist on upgrading me after selecting "Manager's Selection" when snow was newly on the forecast and AWD vehicles were on hand. The manager proceeded to argue with me by saying that I could book online but I'd have to wait hours for my new reservation to come through their system! She also consistently lied to me saying that the price online was actually more expensive than what I paid. I eventually booked online elsewhere and saved $100 but had to shuttle back to the airport. Will never rent here again.

I picked up my car without having to go to the counter early in the morning in Minneapolis and I just went straight out to the garage. That was a nice touch. I took a video of the outside of the car with my phone, noting any blemishes marks or dings as I didn't want to be charged for them when I brought the car back , I highly recommend using your phone camera to video the car. Then when you return it, you can show them what you took when you were there, renting it. I really appreciate Sean helping me at the gate. He checked my license and my registration number to make sure I have the right kind of car. And he even left the booth to come around to the car to help me connect my Bluetooth with the digital computer system , it wasn't hard. It was just tricky understanding the system in the car. For instance, I would've thought it was connected to the entertainment section, but it was actually through the communication category in the computer system in the car. Upon returning the car, I met up with Tony who was nice and personable asking me questions about my trip instead of just seeing me as another renter. It made me feel at ease that I was in the right place. Driving in was kind of confusing in that garage. It's dark inside the garage and I've never been there before. I showed him my concern since the car was brand new, with the console in the middle between the seats in the front because it seemed like a piece was missing. The car had very low miles, and I'm sure whoever put the car together at the factory forgot the piece. Anyways I showed it to him and he said he would get it taken care of and I wouldn't be charged for it. It was like that when I rented it but I didn't and discover it until I was hundreds of miles away during my trip. I must say I drive a Tacoma pick up in my daily driving, and this car was a lot of fun to drive. It was the smaller version of the larger CX30, and newer and it looked really good on the inside and outside. Classy! The only thing I didn't like about it was it seem like it didn't have a very big gas tank, and I was filling it up often on my trip up to Lake superior to the North Shore and through the town of grand Marais. All in all I was pleased with Alamo, especially the exceptional customer service of Sean at the checkout gate on July 3rd and the very helpful return service with Tony. From Arizona, first time to Minneapolis and renting a car on my own and driving up to Duluth, and then all the way up to grand Maras, on the North Shore of Lake superior, I trusted Alamo and felt like I was in good hands using that car. And that car took very good care of me!
