I was renovating a small kitchen and thought I could salvage the cabinets but they were too far gone. So I was looking for something not super expensive, since I had not budgeted for this expense. Budget kitchen was getting rid of a ton of showroom/floor models. I got a six foot run of base and wall cabinets, plus a countertop for $400. The cabinets are solid maple, with beautiful bronze finished knobs/hardware. The drawers all have that silent/slow close feature. It was strictly cash and carry, and I estimate the retail value was at least $1500-2000. The floor room people were nice on the phone and at the store. The counter is laminate, but very closely resembles granite/quartz and has a fancy double ogee finish. I can't speak to their installation skills or how their workmanship/work schedule, but I can tell you that the cabinets and countertop were gorgeous and have held up surprisingly well in a well used corporate housing unit. In fact, I'm gutting another kitchen and may be calling them to see if they have more showroom models they're trying to get rid of! read more

Hired beginning of the year, supposed to take 2 weeks starting mid March. The owner, Dave Bowers had hired an "outside" work crew to complete all demo and full kitchen remodel. You are at the mercy of whoever shows up. We had to pay extra for electric and plumbing. Paid Andy Young, the one in charge, several thousand $$$. The crew would show up late, had to tell them many times to fix what they did the day before, poor workmanship and very unprofessional. Refused to level the floor, the electric was completely wired wrong. We had to hire another electrician to rewire which was extensive and costly. Also had to hire plumber to hook up sink plumbing and dishwasher. Then they just stopped coming! The owner was not apologetic, refuse to complete work stated on the contract. Would not reimburse us for crew not coming back to finish the work and take money off for us removing our old cabinets etc...We hired Bkg and not these other people to do the work. BKG refused any accountability. We had to hire and do some of work ourselves. We have wanted a new kitchen for 20 plus years and this has been the worse experience ever! very upsetting and stressful.. Never ever go there, or give them the time of day. Buyer beware! read more

When you walk in to BKG you are greeted by a designer. They ask what your plans are- they explain all of your options. All of the doors and counter materials are CLEARLY marked with prices for a 10x10 kitchen- so you have good idea of pricing based on a smaller or larger size. Their samples hang on the wall and the designers will remove them and help you match them up with the countertops and accessories. We were emailed a floor plan with a design a few days later, and discussed any changes or additional options. BKG was available via phone or email anytime we contacted them. The design sheet included all cabinet labels, measurements, styles, sink etc. we were able to take it to big box stores to make sure purchased our appliances fit. Our cabinets were delivered early, assembled, in perfect condition. They are great quality and included slow/quiet close doors. There were no surprises, no nickel and dime upcharges. We are very excited to receive our countertops on Monday. BKG knew we were in a crunch with no kitchen and made sure they could accommodate our time frame. We have already referred 2 other people to BKG. Completely 100% satisfied! read more

Update: We ended up getting attorneys involved, at which point they admitted to sending the wrong cabinet. However, we were required to pick up the cabinet at the warehouse. One of the cabinets they sent us was missing a drawer. We requested the drawer hardware which we also had to pick up at the warehouse, only to find out the drawer hardware is 3 inches too short. This is a horrible place to do business with and we will not be returning. read more

We bought a "flipped" house through this company in Dec 2016... BKG did not secure any of the county permits legally required to install plumbing and electric and used no licensed plumbers or electricians (the owner outright told me this on the phone, because they are "too expensive") and it shows, because quality is horrendous and has been a stressful and expensive 2 years fixing all of their mistakes.... Here is a list of SOME of the problems we encountered by the shoddy workmanship and illegal practices of this company: Shower head improperly installed and leaked through ceiling in closet, shower faucet improperly installed and was leaking, tub drain in master bath was not tightened and leaked through ceiling in garage...all of these causing mold and drywall damage. Drain trap on master tub installed wrong - master bath stinks like sewage! No trap installed on washer, also stinks like sewage! But the worst was the first floor bathroom... the shower was NOT CONNECTED TO THE PLUMBING AT ALL, it was literally DRAINING UNDER THE HOUSE! Entire first floor bath: shower, sink and toilet needed completely re-plumbed, that's how bad their workmanship was. Kitchen sink pipe literally fell off, I had to prop it up with a spaghetti sauce jar. Air-conditioner was installed wrong and was leaking until we had professionals come in and repair it. GIANT gas leak at heater where fixture was "smashed" as someone tried to (I guess) muscle it on instead of tightening properly. Floor drain in finished basement was not properly sealed but merely carpeted over, when the basement flooded we had no idea where it was coming from until we had to rip up our ruined brand new carpeting to find an open floor drain. Improperly connected flex-piping leaked through the ceiling and down our wall, ruining a large portion of drywall. Hot water tank improperly installed, we had asked to have this remedied after our inspection, but we were deceived by the owner and then incurred an $1800 bill to fix it ourselves when the health department showed up and red-tagged it. I could go on and on, but you get the idea... BKG design cuts corners at every turn and has caused us tens of thousands of dollars re-doing their work, a total rip-off, we feel totally scammed by this company and honestly do not understand how they are still in business. read more

I am looking to buy cabinets to remodel my kitchen. I like to deal with small businesses in the area. I hate big chains. I thought this would be a good place. And I'm on a time crunch. I contacted them through their website mid July. Few days maybe a week before I heard back. Designer emailed me asked for measurements. Sent them in with description of what I wanted. Another week goes by nothing. I emailed the designer asking if there was a time frame. She emailed me back the beginning of the following week to say she had a very hectic week and she would get the design ready and send it to me. I received that another week later. So 3 to 4 weeks to get a simple design emailed. Also when I finally got the design it was not the layout or measurements I described. I emailed her back to tell her and she pretty much made it out that I was wrong and that's what I described to her. Don't waste your time here. I could have invested this time else where ordered and had cabinets delivered by now. read more

Buyer beware. This business will rip you off. Will not get work done when promised. Drag their feet for weeks. Causing you more expense, out of your budgeted money for the remodeling, in ordering out food, for many people, as you can't cook so you don't have enough of the money they demand. No contract. Will steal your personal belongings from your deck and garage. Will deceive you on ordering products, will not order what you wanted. Will lie, then let you hanging and not finish the job according to agreed price. Plus much more. This happened to my close friend. She had to hire an attorney. They were to come back and finish the job. Now she has to take them to court. She has not been able to use her kitchen since early November. I must say, the work they did do was good quality work. But, they are deceitful and not nice to work with. Would you believe the owner ridiculed my friend for spending (budgeted) $800 for a dishwasher, when she could have gotten a cheaper one and used that money for food. It's none of his business what my friend purchases. That dishwasher was purchased before Budget Kitchen and Bath was contacted for services. They are also not registered plumbers and don't do proper work according to code. So you may have to pay additional money for a registered plumber so it passes inspection. This is just the tip of the iceberg. read more
