Filthy run down drug hotel. I wouldn't let my dog stay in this place! Only gave it a one star because zero wasn't an optio.

This place is in serious need of attention and upkeep. Our non-smoking room had stained sheets with…read morevisible cigarette burns, which was concerning right away. We checked the bedding for bed bugs (thankfully didn't find any), but the mattresses are clearly very old and worn out. The floors were also quite dirty, with debris and leftover food from previous guests, which made the overall cleanliness feel very neglected. Unfortunately, this seems to be the only motel in the area, and it feels like that lack of competition is reflected in the high pricing for what you actually get. We booked through Booking.com and would have been charged for the full stay if we canceled, which made the situation even more frustrating. To top it off, when we left in the morning, there were police officers and crime scene tape outside. I don't know what happened, but it definitely added to the uneasy feeling about staying here. Overall, I would strongly recommend looking for alternative accommodations if at all possible.

Nothing that would sway you away from staying here. The owner is very friendly and willing to accommodate, got me checked in really fast the rooms are very clean no odors, lingering. Full size TV with HBO channels, working refrigerator and microwave big enough bathtub to soak my legs in clean mattresses and sheets. For the price you will not regret staying here if you're ever coming through Sparta, Tennessee, make sure and stop by for a night

I will start by saying that this place is great! My wife and I visited recently for a weekend…read moregetaway in the off-peak winter month of February and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The initial booking interaction with the front office manager was excellent, and she went out of her way to make sure we were familiarized with the property, how to get in and out of the coded gate, and where to find our documents/keys, etc. as we were checking in late upon arrival. The cabin was beautiful, if not a tad outdated in the typical "Gatlinburg mountain-style" motif, and was settled nicely by itself without an immediate neighbor, so we felt very comfortable, secluded, and able to fully relax - the ideal weekend getaway environment! What was even better was the pricing. Our cabin was a 2 bedroom, 3 bath, fully stocked kitchen with all appliances, dishware, silverware, etc, and a living room area with 2 couches, a lounge chair, including a flat panel with tv access, and all across 2 stories. Everything was very well cleaned, the loft area was beautiful, and even had an in-room whirlpool-jetted tub. Everything they said they'd do, they did. Great service, nice location very close to the Fall Creek Falls State Park, and within 15 mins either way of the nearest town for additional options. Overall, we'd most certainly visit here again the next time we're looking for a hike along the beautiful falls nearby!

They are receiving lots of love and attention here at the property. The location is convenient to sams club, movie theater and the interstate. The road parallel to the Interstate has all of the restaurants and shopping that you'll find here in Cookeville. But the town itself is unimpressive. But if you're going to be here, this hotel is a good choice. So far, this is the worst hotel stay I've had in the 5 months I've been on the road. I've been checked in for 2 weeks now and I've had absolutely no housekeeping. I've went downstairs and requested room service 3 times. Yesterday, I finally spoke to a manager and she informed me that housekeeping is afraid of my caged dogs. But she reassured me after my assurance that they'd be put away in my absence, that my room would be flipped. I let her know that I was away from my hotel room for the weekend and she said they were still there for the day, and here I am walking into my room, still hasn't been serviced. Seriously a bad representation of a Marriott location.

This hotel has been one of the cleanest, rooms are cleaned and made everyday. The workers are constantly cleaning. I've seen them sanitize the elevator, steam clean the communal furnitures and house keeping was on her knees scrubbing the bathtub! Talk about cleanliness! One of the few hotels that didn't give me the icks! They have complimentary breakfast daily, which I didn't partake in but appreciated. Coffee and hot tea is offered throughout the day. Beds were comfy and came with both firm and soft pillows. The hotel is perched on a hill too, so the views are amazing. There's a lot of restaurants close by, Knoxville is 40 mins away, Dollywood 1hr 20 mins, Nashville 2 hours, and buc-ees is 30mins away! The first day I stayed there, I was too jet lagged to go anywhere and I swear I heard coyotes or monkeys or something, creeped me out lol - think the hills have eyes! I definitely would recommend this hotel if you want to be in between Knoxville and Nashville!

That's I'm placing the close to my cell phone or mobile device of some kind!! I literally held them in my hand, and placed them in the glovebox of the car!!! They came to clean the room, but left us no toilet paper. Now if I want TP, I have to walk down to reception and get some!!! Lady, I gotta poop! I ain't got time to walk down there and get it!! Overall this experience has been absolutely horrible!! They really dropped the ball on this one! They ruined my experience with Tennesee. We are just here for my sons wedding, and they've made it miserable!!! 0 stars if I could.....

I feel the setup explanation is the same for each, but there is a lot that is specific about the hotel. One thing I love about Holiday Inn hotels is that so many of them allow animals for a fee. We have our Cinnamon the Husky, who is our service dog, but in this trip we also had our Lacey the Desert Lynx cat. So we did some research before we left home to find hotels that would allow us to bring them along. This was night three of our travel from CA back to NC. We were so happy to be out of the car after another 12 hour driving day. Given the current pandemic situations, certain things were not available as they normally would be. We are blessed with a nice quiet dog, but our cat gets super loud if she is left alone too long. She made it out of her carrier and into the large and spacious bathroom, but we don't let her out of the bathroom until we know she can't hide somewhere we can't get her out of in the room and she has use the litter box. (We always travel with a disposable litter box, gallon zip lock bag of litter and a garbage bag for easy clean up). Thankfully the room did not have any nooks for her to hide and it didn't take her too long to be allowed out of the bathroom. It was a king size bed and there was a chaise lounge chair in the corner that Cinnamon determined was his for the night. But Lacey found a nice spot on top of the AC unit, which strangely she enjoyed when she wasn't just on top of me. The room was nice and clean. The people were friendly and helpful. But the room was well stocked which i was happy about after the last night. And it made getting a move on in the morning easier. Though we were only 3.5 hours from home so we happily took a late check out and caught up on some sleep in the comfy large bed. I do recommend calling to make sure that they have the right room available for you if you are traveling with a pet. It is always a best practice.
