The pool and hot tub are never at a temperature to make them desirable to be used. I am guessing this is because the staff doesn't want to have to maintain them from regular use. I was told the hot tub has been a "cold" tub for years. The tvs were intermittent for two evenings that we used them. I added a 2nd star for proximity walking to a couple food establishments and a large store. The breakfast buffet was okay and the staff working that area were the kindest (earning the 3rd star) we interacted with during our stay.

The HI was very clean in the common areas as well as our room. The only shortcomings was the indoor pool was too cool for a dip in last night.

Rooms & Building - The hotel was a basic Hampton cookie cutter building. We tend to choose Hamptons if Embassy Suites or Doubletrees are not available in the area. They are consistent and cozy. The rooms were fresh, modern, and clean. Amenities - There was a pool available onsite. The water wasn't heated but it wasn't cold either. Food - Complimentary breakfast was basic to what you find at other Hamptons. Good and filling. Staff - Everyone we met was professional and friendly. We got here late and the front desk staff were super friendly to my kids. After a long day of driving, the lady was a cherry on top of our day. She treated us like royalty, I don't think I have been treated better as a Hilton Diamond member and Hampton Inns don't have much they can offer as extra. Way to go. Price & Final Verdict - Price was great for everything we experienced while staying here. I would stay here again.

The staff has always been very helpful, and even quickly mailed back my wife's pillow when she forgot it in the room. This is certainly not the most fancy hotel in town, but it's a good place to stay for the value. -- It's just after 4am on a Tuesday. Why am I awake at 4am? Well because someone at the front desk gave my wife and I a wake up call, a wake up call at 4am we certainly didn't order. Now I would be willing to let this mistake go if it was the only one during our 4 day stay, but alas it's not. This was the second call from the front desk to negatively affect our sleep. The first one was at 12am, yes midnight, on Sunday (or Monday depending on how you look at it). Someone at the front desk couldn't find a card for our room (or something?) So their solution was to call and wake us up at 12am. Why? I have no idea. And just mere hours before we had to wake up for a funeral no less. So now that while I'm awake in the middle of the night again, why am I writing this review now? Well because I can't fall back to sleep due to all the clanging showers, banging drawers, and slamming doors of the thoughtful people in the rooms next to us. The kind of people who would actually order wake up calls at 4am I guess. Thanks again Super 8 Front Desk. I'm really glad to be looking at my phone, all bleary-eyed, before dawn. And before I have to start the 500 mile drive home this morning of course. On a positive note, this hotel is cheaper than most is town, and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. We have stayed here a few times now and had fine experiences.
