In a tiny gateway town outside Crater Lake in a town of 300, this hotel impressed because of its online presence and "newly remodeled" status. However, when we arrived, we realized that while I'm sure the remodel improved the place, it was still clearly unacceptable. The 12 must be 15" and has no inputs for our own gadgets. No tub, the carpet looks hideous, the bedding equally scary and the room was freezing cold. With cement walls and a tiny in wall heather, it took ours to reach a decent temperature. The water pressure is dripping, not even allowing for a shower. It also advertised "free wifi" and though the router is about 20 feet away in the office, it does not appear to be broadcasting a signal. The doors on each room are incredibly noisy so each time sometimes comes and goes, you all hear it. Pay more and stay somewhere else.

Clean and Comfy! Microwave, small fridge, coffee maker...

5 stars for being clean and cute. Good price. Friendly staff. Was safe and toasty warm during a snowstorm. I will return.

What a dump. They clearly have people living here. Some rooms have no a/c. I think I'd rather sleep in my car.

Not a baaad place for what you're getting. Think I paid $70 odd dollars for a night. I'd give it 3…read moreand a half stars, but round up okay. The unit I stayed in was generally clean, neat, and tidy for first impressions. Naturally the place is quite dated and could do with a Birthday. But at prices that low for perhaps a passers by, I'm not gonna be very picky. I'm very pleased at least they had a nice toilet, a shower with good water pressure and lovely hot water... I think the bathroom may have had some work done recently as a few things looked surprisingly newish. Room also came with bar fridge and microwave. A dressing table with a huge mirror, which is welcoming. Along with the nice vanity and mirrors in the bathroom. In another corner was a table with two chairs, along with a dripulator coffee machine. We had ground coffee stashed away in luggage so that was a welcoming thing. Other things are a digital clock by the bed, a chest of draws, a flat screen TV with some cable channels I'm sure. Not sure what but I'm sure there is. One downside is there's no air con for those summer months. But they do provide a fan for all those warm blooded humans!! There's also some type of heather in the wall that looked fairly old, which I didn't touch. So God only knows whether it worked or not. Could be worth a risk in winter. The bed was okay. The mattress was quite hard which I didn't mind. Thin blanket and quilt were used, so keep that in mind if you freeze at night. Pillows were also quite thin. Overall was clean. Honestly, I would say do it if you're a passersby and don't intend to stay more than a day or so. It'll do you justice. Plus on top of that there's a gas station next door which have a Subway attached and a convenience store. So food and goods literally meters away from your room... an added bonus!!

I'd driven by it many times and admired the roadside Americana appeal of the row of A frame units,…read moreso I knew I wanted to stay there someday. Usually, I pass through when I'm driving to Portland, as I do often take Hwy 97 through K-Falls and rejoin I-5 via Hwy 58. It is actually one mile shorter that way, y'know! And there's not so much of the twistin' and turnin' through the canyons alongside triple-trailer trucks. And I swear I get better gas mileage on the long gradual climbs and descents. But for our roadtrip this year, we decided to spend a few days east of the Cascades, so I made it a top priority to book a room here. I got Room 2, double occupancy, for $43 including the tax. It was pretty adorable inside, as expected. The main room had an L-shaped layout with a queen bed in the main side, and a full bed in the other. A TV with DishNet swung around on a wall-mounted arm to allow viewing from one bed or the other. There was a mini-fridge, microwave, and coffeemaker in the room. It had all the modern conveniences minus the internet....which was no biggie because this was a vacation from the internet, too! Everything was immaculately clean, and the beds were comfortable. For larger groups traveling together, some units are adjoined like a double suite. The bathroom was a little funny. The tub is kinda wedged into the acute angle of the A-frame, so if you wanna take a shower, you hafta sit. But they provide a convenient stool. Next time, I will be sure to pick up some deli food from the K-Falls Fred Meyer to zap in the microwave. That would make it easy to avoid dinner at Melita's!

This place is actually in Beaver Marsh, OR - a village too small to have a post office, so it uses…read morea Chemult address. The rooms are each little a-frame cabins - with microwave and refrigerator. These are definitely not typical motel architecture, but - there are comfortable beds, warm rooms when its cold, shower, TV, and far enough back from the highway. Only thing lacking is wireless internet. But then even I can use a break from Yelp, etc., now and then.... This place has character - stay here while you can - tourist traffic is down with the high gas prices and who knows how long they'll stay open. Inexpensive too - less than $40 for two people. There is also an RV park out back, for those that have 'em. ANOTHER VISIT: September, 2008 - Place has new owners, price is several dollars higher. Still a good place to stay.
