My issue began at noon as a week ago if this post. Originally making the appointment to be put into a vehicle, I was told which vehicle I will be put into by 5pm that day, this was not the case. I arrived 10 mins early and did not leave until after 7pm (after closing). Once I was addressed for payment, a vehicle was still not ready for me. The salesman was eager for me to make this payment at a much higher price & even went to as far as asking me personal questions relating to our fathers. Upon signing to get the vehicle he continued to push me to sign for extra insurance, which I reminded him that my insurance would take care of it, which was seemed to not be expected. After signing, due to being at the location for almost 3 hours I accepted this. Upon leaving the dealership, I found several issues with the vehicle that were not properly working. The mirrors were unable to move with the controllers. With this is in my mind, I went back to the the location in the morning. That morning, I addressed with the salesman my issues and attempted to cancel the extra insurance I was making, and was addressed with a "yes, no problem, this will be canceled." I was also re-assured about the cancellation. I explained my issues with the vehicle and met with a stand on taking the vehicle with the the broken mirror. A week later, I received a charge on my card. My request was not met. I have spoken to corporate, and now have the business checking cameras to my morning visit, along side of possibly not being refunded for my request to cancel as there was no instructions given to me on signing anything to cancel my request, apart from the word of the salesman saying this was canceled. My problems have not been solved. As previously stated, this business is unprofessional and has a large lack of communication as well as damaged vehicles in there inventory. Be aware of renting a vehicle from this location!!!

The key was broken, the metal part was coming out of the plastic key fab. When I returned the car I let the representative know about it. His name was Zack. I few days later I see a change on my credit card for about $250. I called Zack and was told by his associate that this is the charge for the broken key that they have to repair. I told her that I did not break the key and it was already broken when they gave me the car. Zack later called and said it was no problem and they refunded me the $250. Then a few days later, after speaking to their manager, they charged my card $131.22. When I called they said the manager told them its "either they pay to repair the key or the customer and they decided that to charge me half was fair". I repeated that I had nothing to do with the key and that I did not break it. The lady told me that because I did not inform them right away that the key was broken I was responsible for it. Don't rent from them. They are shysters that will try to charge a customer for basic maintenaace of their venhicles.

This is is about the Towing service…read more I am an 80-year-old woman writing to file a complaint regarding my treatment by Nunes Towing following a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at the corner of Frenchtown Road and Old Town Road in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Immediately following the accident, I specifically asked the responding police officer to have my vehicle towed to my home to avoid unnecessary complications. However, because I was transported to the hospital by ambulance, I later learned that my vehicle had instead been towed by Nunes Towing under its towing contract with the City of Bridgeport. On Friday, July 31, my daughter contacted Nunes so we could retrieve my personal belongings and recover my vehicle. We were informed that we would first have to pay $586 before we would even be allowed access to the vehicle. We were also told that the vehicle had to be picked up that day or additional storage charges would be assessed. After contacting my other children and obtaining the necessary funds from my credit union, we returned to Nunes later that same day. Upon our arrival, we were told that the owners had left the office because of an emergency and had not left our paperwork. As a result, the staff refused to release my vehicle. We were instructed to return before 8:00 a.m. on Monday, August 3, to avoid additional charges. My daughter and I arrived before 8:00 a.m. on Monday as instructed. To our surprise, we were then told that the amount due had increased to more than $700. We asked to speak with the owner but were told that the owner was unavailable because he was in the hospital. We explained that we understood there had been an emergency on Friday and that we had attempted to retrieve the vehicle then, but were prevented from doing so solely because the owner was unavailable and our paperwork had not been left behind. Despite these circumstances, the attendant refused to waive the additional charges and would not release the vehicle unless we paid the increased amount. We were also told that payment had to be made in cash only. I believe it is fundamentally unfair that I was charged additional storage fees for days during which I was ready, willing, and able to retrieve my vehicle but was prevented from doing so because of circumstances entirely beyond my control. Had Nunes been able to complete the transaction on Friday as instructed, the additional charges would never have been incurred. As an 80-year-old accident victim, I expected to be treated with fairness, honesty, and compassion. Instead, I believe I was subjected to an unfair and predatory business practice that took advantage of my situation. I have never encountered a business that operated in this manner. I respectfully request that this matter be investigated and that I be reimbursed for the additional charges I incurred solely because Nunes was unable to release my vehicle when I first attempted to retrieve it. I also intend to file a complaint with the appropriate state authorities, including the Office of the Chief State's Attorney, so this matter can be reviewed. Thank you for your time and consideration.
