Have to agree with Tim S. except they didn't get me my dumpster on time. The also charged me an additional $28 on my credit card, which I assume is for being "overweight", because we didn't use the dumpster any longer than the agreed upon 2 weeks. We made sure that what we put into the dumpster would not exceed the 1 ton limit, but they still managed to charge us more money. I've requested the weight slips for the dumpster, but I haven't received a response. They are truly a ripoff....the $319 turned into almost $350, which was more than a couple of other companies were charging. Never again and I will discourage anyone else from using them. read more

The dumpster was delivered on time and the driver was friendly. The location of the dumpster was a little tricky with tree branches overhanging the driveway and powerlines, but the driver worked it into place and located it with enough room to fit one of our cars in. I'm not really sure that my review will make any difference but here goes. I made the call and spoke to an intelligent, smart and helpful guy. He explained everything to me, because I needed his guidance through the process, since this was the first time that I would need to make of such a service. So in that fact, I was completely relying on his expertise and leadership to help me make the best decision. After the dumpster was picked up, I received an email stating that I had gone over the weight allowance, and that a charge of $176 was going to be added to my card. When I asked if the one I was getting would be sufficient, I was confidently told that that is the typical dumpster that they recommend for such a project. I can only say that that "guidance" was not only inaccurate, but very misleading. If I had chosen the next size, I would have only had to pay $30 more but instead paid $176. If I can offer any suggestions, go with the next option up rather than the option on offer so you too won't have to pay the "additional" charges. read more

Absolutely the worst company!!! Ordered dumpster on a Tuesday for Friday delivery. Never showed up. Matt A kept assuring me that it would be there no later than 6 pm. Never arrived. Monday I called the company and they said they would bring one out. It's now 1:00pm and still no dumpster. I called and talked to a manager who says sometimes the dispatchers can't deliver or run into problems. Shouldn't that have made me the first on the list for Monday? Con artist. The way overcharge overage fees on every single dumpster. I got charged over $200 out of the blue for a dumpster with the exact same thing as the others in it. They have your card on file and charge you over and over and you can't dispute it. They carge less for dumpster but give a fraction of weight limit if others. The old bait and switch. This company charged us an additional $560 ... why? well, there was a mattress, and they charged us $500 because we were supposed to call them to pick up the dumpster -- why didn't they call us ? -- And I sent them my cell bill showing I had called, the guy said THE CALL WASN'T LONG ENOUGH .... CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT! When I called them to say "are you kidding me", he eventually hung up on me, I called back, I got a voicemail and was told to hold .... and I did hold and hold and hold .... while listening to nasty music. I'm sure they were sitting there laughing their asses off. They are a huge company all over the U.S., with corporate office in Ohio, and they use tactics like claiming weight overage and not picking up their dumpsters, or making excuses that they are unable to get to the dumpster due to the customer's car or something in the way. To whomever might consider hiring this company because of their advertised low price, here is how it works; in my learned opinion of course. You will be given a ten yard dumpster. It will look to be just the right size for what you have. You will fill it as I did, with household junk; nothing too heavy, plenty of things that weigh ounces but take up an inordinate amount of space like rabbit fencing that's rolled and yet loosely so it takes up a few cubic feet of the cubic yardage. And then you'll finish, and a month later get a credit card prepaid reciept/invoice stating you were not a few pounds but a couple TONS overweight and your little 300 dollar investment will become over 400 and the budget in the company name will seem to be a joke on you. They will tell you, you should have known; they will deny their clever 1 ton limit means that the 10 yard dumpster should really only be filled to a third of its height to stay within the contract. When you ask for documentation from the landfill they used they will instead send you a new copy of their invoice. They will argue they have no idea what sort of material you'll put in the dumpster, and I will speculate that 80 to 100% of their clients have been charged for being overweight; unless of course they have a cottage business selling down pillows and they have a garagefull of stuffing to get rid of. This is opinion of course. In my opinion anyone hiring this company after reading this review deserves what they get. I gave it one star only because Yelp demands a star rating to post. read more

NOT budget at all! I've been a contractor for almost 30 years. I called "budget" dumpster, as, I was in a pinch. I have NEVER paid $625 for a 20 yard container... EVER. Also, I know for a fact I was nowhere near the weight they said I was. I tried talking to the billing department to clarify the costs and got a run-a-round. These people are rip-off artists, and I would stay as far away from them as possible. After paying my initial $429 for a 10-yard dumpster, I was charged another $300 a week after pickup for materials not allowed, and then 3 weeks later another $93 for being over the 2-ton weight limit, which flat out isn't possible, since all I put in the dumpster was household items. No rock, no dirt, no brick, nada. They are thieves, and once they have your credit card information, they'll run with it. Stay away! read more

We had a great experience with Budget Dumpster. We cleaned out a ton of stuff and it's so liberating. My dumpster was delivered the day after I called, filled over the weekend and picked up on Tuesday. The price I thought was very reasonable but I have to wait to see if there are any overage charges. I don't think there will be but curious to see if we surpassed the limit. And a big shout out to the driver. After waiting until 5:26pm today, I called them to confirm today it would be delivered today, and was told it will arrive today. It is now 9:15PM, and still have nothing. On three separate occasions (in the Atlanta area) I had dumpsters delivered, they arrived on time and where as clean (or cleaner) as you would expect a dumpster to be. The people I spoke with were polite and it was as simple as you could hope for. I ordered a dumpster on August 31st to be delivered September 1st. I had a mountain of remodeling waste piled on the side of my house, my sons moving into the basement apartment, and cement scheduled to be poured. Timing was crucial. At 6:50 PM on the 31st I received a voice message saying that they didn't have a dumpster to deliver.....to late to arrange one from another company. They said they'd have one here on September 5th. They didn't deliver one on the 5th, 6th, 7th, or 8th. I'm calling every day since they have already charged me for the one that wasn't delivered on the 1st. Customer service is blase. Even the manager called me (after listening to some of my recorded conversations with customer service) and agreed this was ridiculous. I finally got a dumpster on September 9th. Beware, and take photographs. Let's go through a list of contention points, shall we? Point #1 - Your company gets one star for successfully managing to deliver the dumpster on the agreed up on date, within the last 10 minutes of the 10-hour time frame you guaranteed. Point #2 - Your company gets zero stars for successfully failing to haul away said dumpster on the date you stated (it got to sit in my yard an extra four days). Point #3 - Your company gets zero stars, again, for successfully failing to provide me with an itemized weight ticket. Let me state to this third point, we removed 600 sq. ft. of carpet/padding and 100 lbs. of tree limbs. If, in any way this waste weighed close to 1 ton, let alone 1.94 tons, I would instead ordered a dumpster with a 2 ton limit. Point #4 - Your company successfully failed to provide any satisfactory customer service when I called to request said weight ticket. I was met with a poor attitude and a general complacency about my request. Point #5 - Your company successfully failed to waive charging my card for the excess weight, and instead, told me it was policy. Nothing about refunding the fee. Poor service quality. Point #6 - Your company successfully failed. On all important counts. In summation, everyone together, Budget Dumpster Rental is a poor service. A fail on all counts. If you intend to spend your money on a dumpster and do purchase with this company, be certain to take photos of the items you toss (if possible, get a close estimate of your items weight); it will keep you from being over charged, and afford you proof should you be invoiced for any overage. read more

This is the worst company ever. I have been in the landscape business for 20 plus years. I have never been ripped off so bad. Do not use them. I usually pay $350 or a dumpster. I called this company because I was doing work in Marietta which is outside my normal area. I was told that a 20 yard dumpster would cost $300, okay, more than I usually pay but okay. I received an invoice and a charge on my card today, 3 weeks later for an additional $577.50 for overage. The dumpster was not completely full. When I called to inquire about the charges. The customer service lady told me that I agreed to this which I do not recall. Then I told her that I would be writing reviews and contacting BBB. She said next time, you need to know what you are ordering. Really, this is ridiculous. They claim to pay $50 a ton at the landfill, I call BS on that one. They delivered a bigger sized dumpster without our knowledge due to "inventory" issues and then we received a bill via e-mail stating that our dumpster weighed three tons more. Their approach to sales is not unlike the bait and switch. They define a weight limit such that if you fill the dumpster with something other than styrofoam, you will exceed the weight and be charged after the fact. I wish I could give this company 0 stars, and I also wish I would have read reviews before calling them. We wanted a dumpster that would accept construction materials so we went with them. The drop off was fine, the dumpster was fine...The pickup however has been a nightmare. I still have a huge dumpster sitting in my driveway. They left me a voicemail stating they charged me $150 because they were blocked from picking up the dumpster. I was home, I did not get a call or a knock on the door saying they were having any trouble. There is one car parked on the street. I got a voicemail after the fact stating they charged me, so I called right away and talked to the supervisor. Long story short, after speaking to the supervisor, GM, sending an email they wouldn't budge and told me they would charge me again if there were cars on the street when they came back out (like I can control that)! I even took a picture of the street. They will basically gouge you and you have no recourse other than to dispute the charge with your bank (which I did). This place has the worst service ever. I called 2 weeks in advance for a dumpster, they tell me they don't have the size that i want. So they upgrade me to a bigger dumpster with no charge which was fine. Then they take the money out of my account right away. Then on the day of delivery they tell me, they can arrive anything of the day from 6 am to 6 pm. They have no controll over when the dumpster will arrive all they know is, they can come anytime of the day but if your not home they will not drop it off and they charge you a fee. So I called them to asked when they will arrive and they tell me they will email the drives and get back to me which they never got back to me (AKA) employee named Dan. So I spend all day waiting for the dumper to arrive and 1 hours before they closed they call me and tell me they can't deliver my dumpster because they don't have one available, and there is nothing they can do for me except wait until Monday which they don't garentee they will have a dumpster available. So they wasted my whole Friday day and my plans for the weekend. So if your looking for a more professional service do not chose this place they will send you in circles. The whole point of someone calling in advance and paying in advance is to make sure they get what they want. I will never offer this place my business again because they are a joke what business runs a business that has no control over their own delivery system, and all they do is deliver dumpster and pick up, how hard is it that your job. Basically I had a 4 ton weight limit and put a 1 ton 12 x 10 garden shed into the dumpster and by the time it got to the landfill it weighted over 4 tons and they charged me extra for being over the weight limit. This company only drops off and delivers dumpsters and blames an unspecified landfill for weighting it and then gives the standard line about how strictly controlled the weighing process is. They blame YOU for filling it along with the standard line," did you weight it, how do you know?" Also they have no documentation to support the over charge and automatically just charge your charge card. Simply put, they trust the landfill and not you. You have no way of knowing the weight of your dumpster. When you call them they talk down to you, badger and demean you, and side with the landfill. Their attitude to the customer is you're ignorant and unimportant as a customer. I would not recommend this company because you have no way of knowing the weight of the dumpster and this company is not responsible for the weight of the dumpster and this company stands by everyone else but you. They don't trust your word so why should you trust theirs! read more
