They canceled my behind-the-wheel DMV test appointment without notice, and I nearly missed my driving test. The only reason I was able to take the test was because my instructor, Felix, genuinely cared and advocated for me. He managed to get the school to switch the schedule back at the last minute so I could make it. The school also refused to give me a refund for the canceled appointment. Instead, they let my instructor take me to the test by canceling another student's appointment, leaving her behind--even though she had already taken the day off for her test, just like I did. They also canceled one of my driving lessons without any explanation and didn't even inform the instructor. The only good part of this experience was Felix--he's the best driving teacher, and I wouldn't have passed without him. I wish I could have taken lessons with him directly, without dealing with the school at all.

Every time my wife scheduled a two-hour lesson using their website, they would charge our credit card the entire ten-hour course cost ($815). This happened twice after the first and only authorized payment. They claimed they would refund us for the two erroneous charges but they never have after three months. 2. They assigned different driving instructors throughout the course. These driving instructors do not follow a uniform lesson plan and have completely different teaching styles. One of the instructors was great but the other was terrible. The latter instructor had no structure whatsoever. He simply told my wife to drive wherever she felt was right and had a blunt and rude personality most of the time. 3. One of their vehicles had broken air conditioning. My wife took the course over the summer so you can imagine how uncomfortable that was. She would come back from her lessons sweating profusely. This review managed to avoid receiving only one star simply because of the pleasant experience my wife had with one of their instructors (Jose). He earned them the additional star. Other than that, I suggest avoiding this place if you want to spare yourself the trouble.

STORY TIME my review is focused on some of the 1 reviews as…read morewell as to compliment Lawrence & Kerri: First let me say I am not affiliated with pacific safety in any way other than a satisfied (future) customer! There is a common similarity with all these disgruntled comments and that is the lack of self responsibility and entitlement. Although it's your right to vent on this review process , all it does is entertain the rest of us at the lack of your own self awareness. It's sad that we live in a society now where people thrive off of "cutting off someone else's head just to make themselves seem taller". Remember you signed a contract, you agreed to everything within that contract! These trainers aren't here to give out hugs, in fact they are here keep you alive as well from possibly killing another person! Now for my praises: Lawrence & Kerri have been absolutely amazing thus far! I actually was able to contact Lawrence by reading some of the negative comments on here because he responded to those comments professionally & respectively while leaving his phone number.... I wanted to purchase a gift card of sorts for my wife on our 8th wedding anniversary by getting her moto classes. Lawrence wasn't exactly sure at time the process of obtaining that for me however he assured me he would do his best by finding out, as well Lawrence made some wonderful suggestions to me on possibly putting together a swag bag as part of the gift , I don't have to tell you as a 50yr old married man that I was stoked on the friendly advice and that I took it! Fast forward next day I received a text from Lawrence that he was able to collaborate with Kerri and they put together a gift certificate with my wifes name on it ( see photo) and some stickers etc. Lawrence and I have had amazing communication nearly daily and I'm not even a student in the class nor is wife just as yet! In conclusion... This company reminds me old school customer service that unfortunately this generation is not familiar with, let me also mention that if a teacher is being stern or hard on you that maybe, just maybe it will save your life one day!

I'd recommend it for anyone south of an intermediate level track driver. For these folks, more advanced courses are available, and I have full faith they'd be excellent as well. Itinerary: -1h classroom safety/racing fundamentals (lots of good info for the road, too) -Emergency mid-corner braking from highway speeds--M4 xdrive -Last-minute lane change, followed by emergency braking, from highway speeds--M2 -Skidpad (controlled initiation and recovery of oversteer/drifting)--M5 sedan -Lead/follow track laps at The Thermal Club raceway (real race track, adjacent to BMW's lower-speed "training oriented" facility) -Lunch (really a highlight. 2 salads, chicken breast, homemade meatballs. Better than many restaurant meals I had in the area.) -Timed autocross laps on BMW's own smaller track (little competition among the participants)--M2 -More lead/follow laps at The Thermal Club--M4 xdrive After experiencing the wear and tear these cars are put through in such a short time, I think the cost of admission is quite subsidized as well. Would definitely go back for further classes.

The…read moreinstructors were top notch but in the end it still felt more like an interactive BMW advertisement than a learning experience. You bounce around between models and events with barely enough time to really learn much. The competitive nature makes it difficult to stay focused on skills resulting in sloppiness. There's enough students that a lot of mistakes go uncorrected. Fortunately, I went into it with the goal of driving fast in a safe environment and someone else's car and maybe get a few general pointers. In that regards, it was a resounding success. I did feel like there was ample time for at least another 5 minutes on the drift track Some things that I wish their FAQ was clearer about: - There is a cafeteria and there is a very good lunch provided - If you're prone to motion sickness, be prepared. I brought along ginger chews and ended up giving out quite a few to others who were intending to drop out early otherwise. - Theres lots of breaks for water and restroom and you'll need them - Theres lots of good hotel prices in Indio and the drive is short I would consider doing some personalized instructions but otherwise, my conclusion is that racing career isn't in my future. Still, props to the staff.
