END of financial aid assistance. When I asked about grants, scholarships or community based financial assistance (Getting local businesses to help pay for the training; either they just want to help or you may be working for them in the future after you pass the course)...they were shocked that I even asked. It was like, "Nope, we don't do that." How do you even call yourself a "financial aid office"? You barely offer any assistance.

What a great opportunity for the young and older alike... To really stretch their imagination using…read moreiron in some way or direction, whether it be to practice welding skills to build a structure, to do a home project, or to create art. My niece really enjoyed her time under the working knowledge of a fun welding teacher. Sometime after my niece took the short welding course I got to meet the owner of the company and her teacher, and was really surprised and blessed to discuss her wealth of knowledge, not only about teaching and welding, but in other areas about living well, taking care of oneself while running a business, and the importance of being a good neighbor and member of a community. I'm only giving her four stars, because I've never taken her welding class... But as a farm kid who in FFA had to learn how to weld, and watching a couple of my brothers, as well as my father welded for many years, and a husband who was taken away from his plumbing job so he could weld on the AZ nuclear power plant... I have a deep appreciation for the artistry and hard work. If I ever get lucky enough to be in one of her classes, I'll come back, and I expect to give her the full five stars!!!! I hope I get to do that. I encourage others to break out of their comfort zone, take a class, and have an opportunity to meet a really good teacher who's 'been there done it. '. I also appreciate she shared her professional story with my niece, and has given her a wider scope that is beyond a community, beyond AZ. Sharing stories about visiting other countries and teaching all over, is something that is great for young people.

And the price is so incredibly low that it's hard to believe, ESPECIALLY when compared with all the hotel spa services and private massage salons in the Coachella Valley. But, today was the all-time best. My therapist, Ashlyn, was simply incredible. A real natural with a great "feel" for her craft. I have received hundreds of massages over the years, but this was one of the very best of all of them. When I checked out to pay, I was met by Heather, who was was extremely professional, personable, and efficient, and booked me next week for my next massage with Ashlyn. These two individuals, Ashlyn and Heather, and Milan massage institute in general are all highly recommended! You simply can't go wrong here!

I've been a regular customer at the Milan Institute in Palm Desert and have visited approximately…read more12 times. I've had my hair cut, colored, high lighted, manicures, pedicures, full sets and skin care appointments, and the students have consistently done a wonderful job. My services have always been enjoyable, which is why it's disappointing to write this review. My concern isn't with the students it's with how the advertised senior discount is now being applied. The Milan Institute advertises a 20% Senior/Military Discount on hair, nail, and skincare services. For all of my previous visits, the discount was applied in a way that matched my understanding of the advertisement. However, during my last appointment, I was told the discount only applies to one service on my ticket instead of all eligible services received during the same visit. As a senior on a fixed income, that made a significant difference. My appointments that were typically around $110 increased to more than $160 because of how the discount was calculated. Palm Desert and surrounding areas have a large senior population, and many retirees choose Milan Institute because they believe they're receiving a meaningful senior discount. If the discount is intended to apply only to the highest-priced service on your ticket or only one service per visit, I believe that limitation should be clearly disclosed in the website advertisement so customers know exactly what to expect before booking multiple services. I'm giving two stars because the students continue to provide excellent work, but I want other seniors to be aware that the advertised discount may not be be applied the way they might reasonably expect. I truly hope Milan Institute clarifies its senior discount policy so customers can make informed decisions.
