Problems with students are resolved quickly and efficiently when they happen which are seldom. Students wear uniforms and have a strict dress code and a code of conduct which teaches discipline. They were so bad with students. I would get placed in ESL classes even though I had good English…read moregrades and didn't even speak Spanish very well. I would have to go petition the school to change my classes and after the third time they did it I decided to petition the school board to let me get my GED. Since I wasn't 16.5 yet I had to wait. I am now on my way to getting a PhD no thanks to this school. They also told a friend of mine that he shouldn't even think about college because he wasn't smart enough. This friend ended up at an Ivy league and is now a physicist, again no thanks to this school. I am not sure how they are ranking in the top 50% now but when I went there everyone was dropping out, pregnant, and couldn't even spell simple words. The counselors were lazy and racist. Not only that, but the school lost all record of me as a student. I found this out years later when I was trying to get a copy of my GED. They don't have record of me past middle school. I am thinking they didn't have much of a digital system back then or someone was just really incompetent, but I am not sure how a school loses a whole child. My advice to parents, be VERY involved in your kid's education if you send them here. My parents were not, so it was always my word against an education system that was not adept in dealing with children, especially children with disabilities that needed extra help. I even witnessed teachers stand by and do nothing while other kids yelled profanities at the kids with mental and physical disabilities. Again, I cant stress this enough, be involved in every aspect of your kids time at this school and make sure the school is doing their job.

Great School. They have a great team to help students prosper in school. They do the right thing as…read morelong as they are informed with parent involvement and what's really going on. Love the staff here!!!! Teachers seem very helpful as well.
