When I asked to speak with a manager, he hung up on me. During the call, he explicitly stated that they were "too busy with fleet and commercial rentals" and made it clear that my residential move was not important to them. As a result of Budget's last-minute cancellation, my family was forced into an emergency replacement move at more than double the cost, solely to avoid further disruption to a 103-year-old hospice patient who cannot tolerate unnecessary stress, delays, or instability. This experience was not just inconvenient--it was irresponsible and inhumane. The lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic human decency displayed by Budget Truck Rental is unacceptable. First time using them. The gentleman behind the counter was great. When I showed up the car was already waiting for me. Drop off was just as easy. Only thing I wished is if they would accommodate picking up the vehicle at a different location like a dealership. All and all great experience and I'll use again if and when I need to. read more

If i could give zero stars i would. I cannot rate this place low enough. This ordeal started with me reserving online a ford edge. I called several times to upgrade (and paid extra) for a pathfinder. I was traveling with my 87 yo dad whose medical and mobility equiptment we needed room for. we were traveling 1200 miles one way to upstate NY so my dad could visit his sister one last time. AJ was told this several times. So, the Pathfinder fit us all well - problem was he put us in a car that has 2 front bald tires. The front passenger tire was thread bare. My dad was terrified all the way to NY. We got there and i had to take a entire day to go to the nearest airport and wait for them to switch us into another car because noone would fix the bald tires. Because AJ was lazy and didnt change the proper car type in my reservation all they could do was give us a smaller ford edge. Plus side good tires down side wouldnt fit all the stuff luggage and equiptment. We were traveling 22 hours each way! We were cramped no leg room and had to pay to ship almost all our luggage and belongings because we had NO way to get it in the small car. We made it home exhausted, cranky and hurting from being so cramped . How did AJ fix not only putting our lives at risk giving us a car with bald tires? but making sure we had to pay alot to ship things home because he couldnt take 2 minutes to change the car type he charged me extra for in the reservation? He gave 100 bucks off. What a joke!. Not even a fraction of what it costed to ship 4 huge suitcases full of stuff home. Lets not even talk about his complete care of putting our lives at risk and worry. I will NEVER use budget again because of him. Its sad because i used to use this place all the time with the old managers. Maybe you should remember people are depending on Safe and Reliable vehicles to transport very precious cargo across the country in ( my dad!) You should be ashamed of yourself . If you decide to use this branch make sure you personally go over your contract and checks every inch of every thing including tires. We created a reservation for a 16ft truck and car dolly to be picked up from Clermont, FL and returned to Blaine, MN two months in advance. The night before we were set to pick up our truck, we received a call from Budget saying they didn't have a 16ft truck, and would be giving us a 24ft truck instead. They also said we needed to go to Leesburg, FL (an ADDITIONAL 40min from our house) to pick it up. Because of the extra distance, we asked to pick up the truck that night, and they told us no because our reservation didn't start until 9am the next morning. After arriving at Budget in Leesburg, we waited 30min to be helped at all, then we were told that we could not be given our truck because our destination (Blaine, MN) could not accept large trucks. The man at the counter called Customer Service to try and change our Destination Location, and we were put on hold for 47 minutes. While we were on hold, the Budget employee went on and on about how terrible Budget Trucks were and how you can never rely on their reservations. He made calls on his personal phone (seemingly to friends) to joke about how he needed to get rid of the strippers and dope before the store owner returned from vacation. Finally, Customer Service took us off hold and changed our destination location from Blaine, MN to St Paul, MN, but told us to return the truck to Blaine, MN anyways. We were given a 26ft truck (not even the 24ft we were told on the phone), and a car trailer. We were told the only reason they even had a trailer to give us was because the people who returned their truck before us brought their trailer back to the wrong place. When returning the truck, we took it to the Blaine, MN location like we were told to do by Customer Service and the employee at the Leesburg, FL location. The manager of the Blaine, MN location told us she could absolutely not accept the truck, and we needed to take it to St Paul, MN. We drove to St Paul, MN, filled the truck with diesel, and returned it to the Budget location. The employees at the St Paul location told us we needed to take the truck back out and fill the tank to the very top, adding more after the automatic gas nozzle shut off. We went back out, added fuel past the safety line, and returned it to Budget. Customer Service assured us before we even picked up the truck in Florida that if we kept our fuel receipts, they would reimburse us the difference in cost between gas and diesel, as well as the difference in Miles per Gallon between the two trucks. They refused to send anything to us in writing, and we are now fighting with them to get our reimbursement. This has been the worst truck rental I've ever experienced, and will never use Budget Trucks again. read more

Would not recommend this location for your rental needs. The customer service is less than satisfactory, and you'll even get an argument for all your trouble. We reserved a truck online, with clearly marked pick up/drop off times with the price for the service. I was questioned about how I was able to reserve for longer than 24 hours and be quoted a 24 hour price - this price was 'honored' since I had brought the email reservation confirmation information with me. Then I was asked for my gas receipt. When I was filling the tank, the pump shut off several times as I was trying to shove a gallon into the tank. I drove less than 40 miles, and really, the fuel gauge still read 'FULL' and the service tech signed off upon my returning the vehicle that the fuel gauge was at FULL. I managed to get almost a gallon into the tank and gave up. This is where the argument started. The rep left the facility, supposedly took the truck I rented to a different gas station and supposedly managed to pump an additional $10 into the tank. And she charged that to my credit card without my authorization. Since I was not there, I cannot confirm that she actually pumped the gas into the truck I had been driving and not a spare fuel tank for her lawn mower, or even whether she offered it up to the customer next to her. While I was waiting for her to return, I overheard a customer being told by another rep to go back to the gas station and put more gas in the tank, that it wasn't 'full.' Hmmm.
