    "Hamburger steak" juice.

We are trying to support local businesses during the COVID pandemic. So tonight was Buddy's turn. We did a phone order and were told it would be ready in 20 minutes. We got there in exactly 20 minutes. We were greeted by a nice gentleman who got our order and brought it to us. We paid him and left a tip. We live 8 minutes from the restaurant. My husband liked the fried pork chops, but the breading fell off, and he was left with a pork chop and a pile of breading. Jambalaya he got as a side with them was acceptable. My mom got a hamburger on a bun, and I got a hamburger steak. It is in no way a hamburger. It should be called sloppy joe. It's ground meat (of some kind) in a strange liquid sauce or something. My 83 year old mom took one bite and asked for me to cook her something else. The hamburger steak was the same meat. Fries could have been good, but they were ice cold, kind if of gray in color and limp, like they were cooked a while ago. The onion rings were flavorful , but were cold and greasy. The salad had really nasty, old lettuce mixed in. It was definitely not refrigerated, because it was room temperature. The pieces of romaine were big, and only the green outside leaves. It was difficult to eat. I'm not used to having to cut the lettuce with a knife to eat it. I really wanted to like this place. I see it every time. I go to Walgreens and wanted to give it a try. Maybe we just ordered the wrong things. Maybe they should have descriptive notes on the menu that the burger isn't a burger, etc. I am including photos of the hamburger juice, nasty salad, and greasy onion ring bag. I should have taken pictures before we threw away the food. This is what was left as I cleaned up

Warm and welcoming atmosphere as soon as I walked in. The place is fairly small and hidden. We stopped here as our last stop before leaving NOLA. I got red beans, rice and pork chop. This was their special on Monday. The plate came with a small side of salad, including your choice of dressing, butter bread, red beans, rice, sausage and pork chop. The pork chop was excellent, well cooked and well seasoned. The shrimp and fish poboy was delicious. The owner was super friendly. He also recommended me a nearby business for sausages.

Absolutely horrible. I ordered the shrimp Po boy which was so small my infant toddler could have eaten it and still have been hungry. I also ordered some onion rings. For $4 I got five onion rings of medium to small size. Are you freakin kidding me!! Then I called the restaurant no one seems to answer around 230 because they close at 3. The order below was $20 and that's what i got!!! I'm furious!!! Will never order again and I will be calling the restaurant to complain

    Hamburger poboy

Absolutely terrible!!! The hamburger poboy was grounded up meat that was not even a patty. The fries??? Don't know why they call these fries! Never again!!!what a waste of money.

    Ribs for daysssssssssss!

One of NOLa's best, local sandwich spots right off of Veterans. I recommend the shrimp poboy to go.

I was in charge of reservations and apparently had not clicked the final confirmation online. As a result, there was, of course, no reservation. We were very disappointed, and I felt horrible; however, we decided to stay and order our own dinner. What happened next was unbelievable! The manager, Randy, and his assistant manager treated us like royalty. We were served each of the different spritzes and even had a taste of each course served at the pairing dinner we had been so looking forward to. The food was incredible. The service was on par with a Brennan-family restaurant. And what started as a disappointing evening turned into a very fun night! Thank you, Randy!! We'll be back for the August dinner, if not before!!

Our server did such a great job explaining each dish as it came out . I really appreciated that because this was our first time here. I had the fennel sausage pizza and it was delicious. It was nice to see that they have gluten free and cauliflower crust options as well. I'm a coffee girl so to top it all off, I had a slice of tiramisu for dessert. It had a happy birthday chocolate on top and was very light and flavorful . This was an awesome dining experience and I'm happy that I decided to give them a try!

Ted never orders meatballs at restaurants, but these were AMAZING. 5 Stars - Shrimp & Crab Ravioli - Next level delicious. 5 Stars - Chicken Parmesan - Perfect with angel hair pasta and homemade red sauce. 5 Stars - Lasagna - Rich, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. And the cannolis... WOW. Fresh, homemade, and the BEST we've ever had. Our waiter was friendly, knowledgeable, and on point all night. Service was top notch from start to finish. The atmosphere has a cool speakeasy vibe, and they even have a beautiful upstairs space for weddings, parties, and events. 5 We've eaten a lot of the menu here and have NEVER had a bad meal. We had a large party and were sat in the back room which happened to be infested with flies topped off with flouresent lighting and no music. The flies were so bad that the container of red peper flakes had about 50 flies swarming inside to point where my 2yr old pointed it out and said "Ewwww bugs!!" We told the waiter of the problem and he said they knew about it and spray once a week but essentially it is what it is. No visit from the manager or anything to make the situation right. I was probably one of the only people who truly enjoyed my meal. Everyone else mentioned the food quality or taste not being the same... or they had flies in their food. The new bathrooms only have 1 stall which is quite a downgrade from the last location. Our server was very nice overall though. Wont be back.

The food has been very good, the service quick and the bar service very good too. Our two favorite servers are Melanie, Sara, Bonnie, Julie & Mo their service has always been outstanding. Blake, the proprietor is great too, always around and checking in on tables to make sure things are going well. Having the proprietor there gives their service a personal touch you don't always get in restaurants today. I recommend Carrabba's for a dinner for two or a small group of friends. Their "wine dinners" are also a big hit for us, it's great to try new wines and dishes that aren't always on the menu. We have a group of 20+ that attends all the wine dinners together. Daily happy hour specials and they have great lunch specials too. It's really nice to have somewhere close to home that you know is rock solid on the food & service. Thanks to Blake and his team!
