Stopped by to grab a plate at Greywolf Brewing. The ratings for this place are quite astounding which surprises me. The highlight was the staff who were very nice. The pulled pork is below average with no notable flavor and quite dry. The baked beans are Bush's Baked Beans...I know I've had them plenty of times. Any bbq restaurant or chain would be better. You can literally make better bbq meal with the pre-made food at Costco :( read more

Buddy's BBQ - Pulled pork and baked beans - Caterers Near Me

Way overpriced $30 for a plate where I can go sit down in a restaurant in town and get a nice steak dinner... Really not worth it read more

The business owner Matt reached out to me and gave us the opportunity to try and re review their food on a different day. I'm glad I gave this place another shot. I was disappointed by my experience last time and was definitely on the fence about giving it another try but this time around the customer service was significantly better. The workers were kind and the food was prepared quickly. It does appear that there were some changes (see below) to the macaroni and fries from the last visit [not sure if this is a change that will consistently occur] so it certainly seems like the establishment is continually striving to improve. The meats were very flavorful and tender. I definitely recommend the pulled pork. I'm thankful that Matt reached out and allowed us to see how his business has greatly improved in a few short weeks. I am wishing all the best to Buddy's and hope to see them continue to improve and achieve great success. After this experience I am willing and eager to return and try out their different menu items. read more

Buddy's BBQ - BBQ Nachos 1/2 & 1/2 YUMMMMM - Caterers Near Me

I had the pleasure of experiencing buddy's bbq. Let me just tell you all. Buddy's knows what they are doing with their food. The brisket egg rolls are amazing and made on the spot. We ordered 12 and they are not small. Along with ordering the brisket fries and pulled pork nachos, which was enough to feed four of us. All of us were more then full and enjoy every bite. Will be going back. Their customer service is very friendly too. read more

Best BarBQue EVER!! It will spoil you for any other and you will have to travel to Texas or Louisiana to find food as delicious.

I was convinced all these five star reviews were fake, but nope, this place is absolutely amazing. Stopped by with the family after hiking and was soooooooooo stuffed and satisfied. BBQ may be ruined for me now though because nobody around where we live is half this good! Guess we'll need to make an excuse to get up to Arrowhead again soon! read more

Awesome spot. Great food and a really nice outdoor seating area! Decided to try the "Belly Buster", and chose the ribs and brisket, along with the beans and coleslaw as sides. Really great food and a very relaxing atmosphere! read more

Exceptional BBQ. It was our last day in Arrowhead and we were lookin for food. Tap house was closed, wine spot did not allow kids and the pizza joint had a crazy wait. So we ventured down to Lake Arrowhead Brewery and found Buddy's serving it up. As I was waiting for my food, multiple people came up and were raving to the guy behind the counter "So excited you guys are here!" "Been looking forward to this all week!" "That was amazing! Good work guys" All the comments made me even more anxious to get our food. I can definitely say the food did not disappoint. Everyone in our group really enjoyed their food. Only bummer is there are currently only 2 ways to get this food. Catering and on Sundays at Lake Arrowhead Brewing. Although I think I overheard the owner saying you can do pickups from his house. read more

All I have to say is whoa. Got the pulled pork nachos and I almost cried... granted this is two weeks post cleanse. But still so good. We went back for more but unfortunately the pastrami left us wanting something more... juicy. It was uncut, just two small sheets of meat that was a little too dry. They were out of slaw and a few other things so that was the next best option. I'd probably hold out for the brisket on the next trip and skip the pastrami. read more

I had buddy's BBQ on New Year's Eve it was parked in front of the Bear claw saloon in crestline CA I had the baked potato it was topped with cheese you had your choice of cheddar or nacho cheese then they topped it with the best BBQ brisket (yum) and served with macaroni and cheese and great coleslaw. I recommend Buddy's BBQ it was delicious. read more

Buddy's BBQ is Matthew Kritz's ode to BBQ in Crestline, California. If you are lucky enough to come to Corks N Hops, be sure to find him in front of Ace Hardware. If you don't happen to go to Corks N Hops, then I would consider contacting Matthew (kritzmatthew@yahoo.com) for an event. I met Matthew at Corks N Hops, and his barbecue is great. His pulled pork and coleslaw are classics - both solid choices. But, it is the brisket (get the thick and fatty slices) and the beans that are the stuff of dreams. The smokey and moist meat stands up to Texas cue. The beans are sweet and smokey - good receipe that is well prepared. The servings are generous and are great for sharing. I highly recommend this little pop-up caterer that could. read more

Our second visit to Buddys BBQ (10/25/20) in Lake Arrowhead. Another scrumptious meal served. Despite the cold and heavy fog we made the well worth trip for tummy happiness. We ordered two hearty sandwiches, 1 brisket cheese grill and the other was pulled pork & cheese. Besides my lactose intolerance I braved my sandwich just to flavor and devour a delicious hot bbq sandwich. In addition to our meals I had macaroni salad and my husband had mac & cheese. Already we look forward to our next visit. Thanks Buddy's BBQ! See you soon!! read more

The husband and I have literally tried every barbecue spot on the mountain, and without any doubt, hands down, Buddy's Barbecue is by far the best on the mountain. We got the brisket, ribs, and the jalapeño creamed corn, and I would honestly eat my weight in that creamed corn if I could. The brisket was smoky and tender. And those ribs!!! HOOOO!!! I'm not normally a rib person (weird texture issues) BUT mah gawd, Buddy's ribs are absolutely spectacular and the bark on the ribs *chefs kiss*. Please go check these guys out, grab a beer from the brewery and kick it for a bit. You won't be disappointed ^-^ read more

Buddy's BBQ has the best brisket and pulled pork BBQ in the region. Beats Lucille's, Dickey's, Phil's, Kansas City BBQ, that place on Highland Avenue, that other place in Rancho Cucamonga, and that place in Claremont, to name a few. My family and I make the trip up the mountain just for Sunday BBQ at Lake Arrowhead Brewing Company, which, unfortunately, is lacking in tables, chairs and shade. We don't mind. We'll take the BBQ to go. If I am able to replicate the quality of BBQ available at Buddy's, I will have to open up my own venue. read more

So we are at lake arrowhead brew co which is awesome by the way, grabbing a few beers and we headed out to lake front tap house to go eat and I was already reluctant to leave because I already saw all the awesome food that buddy's BBQ had dishing out but my chick wanted sit down dinning but we are in a pandemic and there is no such thing but anyways, we left and we get there and and it was a complete s@&t show and the people running in were just rude and out of touch of what makes a dinining experience a "experience" soooo we head back to lake Arrow head brew co co it's rad and we hit buddy's BBQ and holly s@&t out of this world bomb BBQ! Totally saved the day! We had the BBQ all meats and sides and totally hit the spot! Hope you guys kill it! Thank you! read more

oh my, I am thinking about this place, right now! We were there last night and had the most magnificent pork ribs I have ever eaten. Serious BBQ! Can't wait to go back! read more

As a Texas transplant I'm always looking for good bbq. I wasnt a huge fan of the sides but that's not what I'm here for anyway. I'm here for the star of all BBQ meats, the brisket. Nice thick smoke ring, perfect consistency and moistness. My favorite thing with slow smoked brisket is the bark and the fatty pieces. If that fat melts in your mouth with that great smoky taste, you're doing something right. If the bark isnt tough and dry you're doing something right. Probably the best California brisket I've had so far. The guys working were fun too. Give it a shot. read more

My friends and I come to get Buddy's brisket nachos every Sunday. Today, it's cloudy, rainy, and cold. Of the 20+ things I should've done today, Buddy's BBQ is the only reason I got out of bed today. Quality chips, smothered in melty beer cheese, piled high with perfectly-cooked, fall-apart brisket, sweet and tangy barbeque sauce, and fresh, crisp jalapenos, served up by the best staff we've ever dealt with! Simply can't be beat. We will be here every Sunday through the winter and beyond. No other food place I could say this about. Bring your friends, grab a beer, and dig into the best bbq you're likely to have anywhere. Thank you guys for being the best part about Sundays (and, more often than not, the highlight of the week)! read more

Went up to Lake Arrowhead for a hike, a local buddy recommended Lake Arrowhead Brewery, turns out they craft the beer and have different food vendors come in for the day, luckily it was BBQ day. Buddy's BBQ got solid reviews as well as the brewery so we gave it a shot. My daughter did her under grad and graduate school at Baylor in Waco, so for 6 years my wife and I made many trips to Texas and Buddy's style of BBQ is Texas BBQ, so that means we have been to a LOT of bbq joints, some OK, some good and some great but pretty much all better than any BBQ joint in Southern California until Buddy's. I'm pretty sure for anyone who is a BBQ lover brisket is the Holy Grail but also the toughest to master, nothing is more disappointing but more common than dry brisket, but not Buddy's. We got the Belly Buster, 2 meats and 2 sides, we chose pulled pork and, hoping for the best, brisket, OMG VERY good BBQ, the pulled pork was smokey and moist with lots of burnt edges and the brisket was moist and juicy and very flavorful, to us it's in our top 3 best BBQ we've had including the many BBQ joints we tried in Texas, do your self a favor and give it a try, also the portions of meat are very generous, thanks Buddy's BBQ team, you finished off a great day and we have some leftovers for tomorrow!! read more
