This is world class! -Here are some of the amenities: a business center, a teen center, a children's center, a historical center, private rooms to reserve, a conference room, a quiet reading room, an area in the lobby you can eat and talk, and much, much more! -I've found the library ee's friendly and helpful. The overall vibe is good. Lots of families, students, and older folks--a hive of activity. Highly recommended!

I love our library! Despite being an older building, it is very well maintained and feels like a…read morenew structure. It offers a special teen section where anyone can peruse for a book, but only teens can sit and enjoy the dimmed and subdued atmosphere. This is quite the opposite for the bright and open children's section with a massive offering of books for the littles, ages 0 and up. Board books, picture books, short bed time stories, classic fairy tales, and the longer fare you might remember from elementary and middle school. Also with on this section, you will find a large meeting space for groups and readings, and a smaller play room you can book for play dates or just to get your gaggle of kids out of the house. They also sponsor the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten program as a push to promote parent involvement in their kids' early literacy. I haven't used the facility's other meeting rooms and study carousels, but they have much to offer the community.

My only complaint for this location is that some returned books weren't showing up in their system and that slowed down being able to borrow again. I'm making sure to return things we've borrowed at least a day ahead of time to be sure that they are making it inside and being accounted for.

Who knew a library could be this much of a destination?…read more During our Austin visit on Sunday, September 13, we explored the gorgeous Austin Central Library, right beside Lady Bird Lake--and wow, this place is an architectural gem! Spacious, spotless, and beautifully designed, it feels like a library meets urban oasis. The top floor is the star of the show, with a mini park, solar-panel shade structures, and breathtaking views of Lady Bird Lake. There are cozy reading nooks, spaces for games, a whole floor for kids, plus a cafe and gift shop downstairs. Parking is conveniently available below. We came for books but stayed for the views! San Antonio, take notes? I'd definitely make another stop here on our next Austin adventure.

We could make a paw print on canvas or do "lick art " ..by having our dog lick peanut butter off a ziplock bag that had paint and canvas in it. We did both and it was a masterpiece!!! Going here transported me back to the olden days when I used to go to the library weekly as a kid…read more I typically pick up books from the central library downtown, but noticed this one on Google maps only 3 blocks away from my house. I went there to pick up a book I had on hold. In contrast to central library, this branch is your old school local library with not a ton of natural light, very quiet, and stacks (of books) galore. They had a self check out machine right next to the holds area, so I didn't even have to interact with anyone to get my book. And unlike central library, parking is free so you don't have to rush to pick out a book. I have driven past this building for 2 years and never knew it was a library! They need some flashy signage or something. If you need a quiet place to get work done, this is a nice spot.

Their return boxes are on the side where the street parking is. Just a few parking spots. Two very nice lady's were up at the front desk. I had asked about getting a membership, which was a quick form to fill out with basic information. And a drivers license. Within minutes I had my very own Bee Cave library card. Like I said, this is a small library, independent. But they do have a lot of wonderful books to check out for 3 weeks. And if you need to renew a book, it's another 3 weeks. They didn't have the books I was looking for today. But I can alway check back another day, or use the "Libby" app.

This is a good nearby alternative as they have a free parking lot. The staff were very friendly when I asked them questions, and the restrooms were clean. They had some tables and chairs to work at as well as public computers. Sitting at the table was unfortunately very uncomfortable, but it was bearable for three hours. Once kids started coming in after school, it was so loud. They have a kids' section, but it is right next to the work area, so it was very loud with kids yelling and screaming. I know it's a small library, but it's nice when the kids' section is separated from the work area.
