Binx, a dramatic kitty with dramatic kidneys.

The best vet I've ever taken my cat to! I've lived in New York, Connecticut and now South Carolina. Dr. Dickler and Dr. Fulper are amazing and have been the only vets who I've seen personally handle my spicy kitty with the utmost professionalism and love. It's hard to work with my cat Binx, as he is extremely fearful and aggressive at times. He is a young cat with stage 3 kidney disease and needs routine care, and he just had his first dental procedure which required the removal of 5 teeth. I've never been more sure that Binxs best interest is at heart and that I never have to worry about him when he is in the care of Buckwalter Veterinary. If I could give 10 stars, I would. This facility is filled with so much love, and I wouldn't trust my fur family with anyone else.

An absolutely beautiful office with very nice people. I took my one year old sphynx in . He was urinating and vomiting blood. He was diagnosed with a UTI, given medications and discharged. Two days later, he dropped dead. I paid for a necropsy and he did have a UTI and a kidney infection (which is a complication). Very nice vet- she checked up on him and I did let her know he was only peeing a small amount. She did not identify this as a complication of his UTI and he died. Beautiful place with smiling faces but my 18 month old animal is now deceased related to Dr. Dickler missing signs of a complication. They got my $350 for the first visit and then I had to pay $450 for the necropsy. Their cremation with ashes was $350 which is a crazy high price. My pet would still be alive if they admitted him. Update : I met with the owner and the vet involved to express my concerns. The owner charged me $68.50 for the visit. I let him know that as a business owner, part of it is hearing the good and the bad. Not charging a grieving pet owner when they have concerns to express related to blood never being drawn. He was cold, short, and extremely cruel to me. He said he could tell this was "obviously all about the money" for me and refunded me the $68.50. It's not about the money - I wanted to bring up that blood should have been drawn and then the severity of his UTI would have been exposed. He said I needed to take personal responsibility for what happened. I would never say that to someone when his vet had the power , knowledge and tools to draw blood at her disposal and never even offered it. I don't care about the money, I care that my pet is dead.

Both of my boys happy and home from the vet!

Dr. Iyer is a kind soul who I can tell loves the animals as well as what he does. I brought my two guinea pigs in with a uti and the entire staff was so friendly and so helpful. I cannot express how thankful I am to both Dr. Iyer and the staff at the clinic! I would trust them with any of my animals.

Our dog recently ate something he should not have and became very ill very fast. Throwing up, falling down, and wheezing. We called our usual vet and were told they were booked and to try Charleston. We had not used Buckwalter Veterinary Clinic before, but I called anyways and was immediately met with kindness and understanding. Our dog was admitted right away and thankfully came home today and is on the mend. We were updated by the doctor and staff during the entire time. Facility was completely prepped for COVID - with curbside drop off and pickup. The cost was very reasonable as well. Very thorough, very upfront with information, and great customer service! We will be using the clinic from now on!

This is Goose(dog) and Puddin'(cat). They are both a source of love and joy each day. Buckwalter Veternary Clinic treats them like family,

Great people and quality care for both my fur babies. very compassionate and professional.

    Mimi :)

Iyer, himself, calls us to go over test results and always returns our calls no matter what time or day.

6-27-24 Being new to…read morethe area I located this vet closest to my new home. My cat had an issue with his ears and is always scratching at them. So I call for an appointment and get in within a reasonable amount of time. Once I arrived my poor cat in his carrier is out numbered by all dogs waiting. Luckily for us they get us into a room. There we are seen at first by an assistant who takes my cat in the back to clean his ears. Since he has breathing issues they had to give him air. I would have preferred to have had the option to be with him so I could keep him calm so he wasn't needlessly stressed. They gave me eardrops and a bill for $220. which included the required rabies shot for an indoor senior cat. Makes zero sense but they say it is a state requirement. When we got home I was unsure if they even medicated his ears there so I had to call them. Let's see how future visits if any, work out. So far at least the shot didn't kill him but he had a difficult night. Not in love with this place. Definitely would prefer a place that was more cat centric.

I recently put my 19 year old cat down. EXTREMELY stressful for me, but I had to write this review…read morefor this wonderful establishment. Dr. Wilson was so compassionate and the tech was just as sweet. I saw the tears in her eyes, as she was mourning along with me. I can't recommend a finer vet. Thank you all for standing with me at that difficult time. Love you guys - xoxo
