Dr. Iones followed up to make sure that I was seeing a doctor for an issue that appeared on the mri. I highly recommend Dr. Iones if you need a neurologist as I have been to three others over the years and none compare on any level.

I was taken to the cath lab where they discovered several blockages (50%, 70% and 99%). Ended up having a triple bypass. The second time they scanned me and found a 12 cm cancerous tumor on my liver. They took the entire left lobe. I am alive today after 2 close calls that could have turned out very differently if the folks at RWJ Hamilton hadn't taken the initiative to delve deeper. They kicked her out way too early, without finding out what the source of infection was. Long story short, she was admitted three times in 2 weeks because they kept letting her go too soon- despite our protests. Many things were overlooked and dismissed. During her 3rd stay, she was in the Telemetry unit and was going into Septic Shock. I recognized the symptoms and immediately asked for a doctor. A nurse practitioner was covering and NEVER responded over a period of 2-3 hours! I was persistent and was finally able to have her see the hospitalist, Dr. Taha, who, in my opinion, saved her life. He was great. If we had him from the start, all of this would not have happened. The "so called" Social Worker Jemma, was pushy and arrogant each time, not even caring about my sister or what she went through. It was all about the money with her! A few of the nurses were excellent- Erin on the 4th floor, and Denise, Rasha, Jayda, and Anthony in the Telemetry unit on the 3rd floor. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Your chances of being treated right and surviving the illness would be better.

My father was recommended by his primary physician to see a neurologist due to the unusual appearance of his hand. I happened to be visiting for the week, and it was very frustrating for me that every office he was referred to did not have any appointments for two months. I spoke to his chiropractor, who is a family friend, and he stressed the fact that waiting two months was not acceptable. My father is hard of hearing, and not really savvy on social media. Since YELP is my go to for everything, I decided to research other offices and see if I could find him an appointment much sooner. Being in the dental industry, it is very important for me to read credentials and reviews from patients. I was very impressed with Dr. Scopelliti's back ground, so with fingers crossed, I made the call. Ladies and gentlemen, I felt like I was reaching out to an old friend. Debbie was so kind and understanding! Having an aging parent can be very challenging, but she was very patient as my dad chimed in his two cents from the background. She was able to get my father an appointment in four days. We chatted for a bit about what it is like to be a patient provider. She told me about the doctor, and the one on one experience he provides. I sent her dad's insurance information, and she was kind enough to reach out within the hour to explain about his patient portion. I was really looking forward to meeting the team, but circumstances came up and I sent my mom. I wanted her to be able to understand what the Dr. was diagnosing, and due to HIPPA regulations, I wanted her to be able to have future discussions if need be. When they came home, Dad gave rave reviews about Dr. S. He treated him for a full hour, had strict Covid guidelines, and dad had a better understanding about what was happening to his body. I am so very thankful for these people. In this time of uncertainty, you think the worst outcome possible. Dad was convinced he had one foot in the grave, and was discussing his burial wishes. I told him only the good die young, and he has plenty of years left! We have a little work to do to get him on the mend, but thanks to Dr. S and his extremely thorough exam....there will be many more visits with my family. I was a patient of Neurologist Dr Scott Weaner for about 11 years, until today. On last year's…read moreannual visit, I was told that he was putting a $25 "membership" fee to cover the cost of paperwork and other patient-related costs. I let him know that I wasn't interested. He examined me (15 mins or less) and I was on my way. Today, I arrived and the usually-abrupt woman at the desk told me I need to fill out my "membership" paperwork. I told her I wasn't a member, just as Dr Weaner walked by. She pointed to one of their many signs and he said last year it was voluntary, but that this year it's mandatory. I let them know that I wasn't about to be a "member" and that I was cancelling the appointment and I walked out. If I was looking for a membership, I would have renewed my membership at Six Flags. This membership fee is offensive. The insurance company pays the doctor, I pay a co-pay and that should be all. I certainly can afford the fee, but there shouldn't be one to begin with. I have managed to put up with an unfriendly staff and a doctor who thinks he's part of club med, but I'm done. Oh, by the way, if you intend to pay for your co-pay with a credit card, there's a fee for that.

The reason for my visit was for spasms in both my legs, ankles and feet. I spent an hour with Dr. Scopelliti and he did countless tests to discover issues that I had and some I did not know I had , balance being one of them. If he was a good doctor he would have recognized a problem sooner before metastasis. He's a horrible doctor and I hope he meets the same fate as me.
