My 10 month old shih Tzu puppy started vomiting at 9:00 at night, then he kept vomiting blood 1 minute apart. I was hysterical and drove him to Bucks County Vets. They told me that he had a blockage and showed me the xray, 50/50 chance of surgery to remove the fiber blockage from his stuffed animal. He was in there for 3 days and they prevented him from an operation. I am so thankful to the Dr., since she saved my little puppy's life. It was expensive, but it was worth it. I will keep this simple, for all of us who have been there too many times. One night in December, 12 year old Yorkie had an episode and experienced a rapid decline (I'm talking minutes). We raced him to Bucks County Vets, but his time had already come. Everyone from the Doc on staff to reception was amazingly efficient, calm, cool, and supportive. One of the worst nights imaginable was made that much less terrible by their professionalism and compassion. The whole experience was surreal to us, and they knew it. We could tell they knew exactly how to handle this difficult situation with the utmost in medical proficiency but also a massive dose of empathy. My cat Maxie was having problems peeing and he was trying to go anywhere he was. Rugs, couch. Then I noticed drops if bloody urine in a few places on the floor. I don't have a regular vet so I looked on line for an emergency vet in my area. I found Bucks Emergency Vets right on Easton Rd. In Warrington. I immediately call them and they told mm with to bring him right over. After examining him, Dr. Jackson was very good at explaining what was wrong with Maxie and the treatment that would be needed. He was there for 4 days and is now home and doing well. I just want to thank Dr. Jackson and all her staff who were very nice and helpful. I would recommend this vet to anyone that needs immediate care for their furbabies. They are wonderful. read more

Our experience with Warrington Emergency Vets has been nothing short of AMAZING! ALL of their staff have been incredible, kind, and compassionate ! I have had a very sick kitten over the last week, they have taken care of him (excellent care) at a fraction of where my "ex vet" wanted to send me. They truly care about the animal, not about how much more they can "sell you". I would recommend Dr Jackson and her team any day. I will be forever grateful to them for helping our Noah! My 6 pound, Maltese daughter Angel had breathing difficulties around 4 am. I knew something was really wrong. I went on line to find a good Vet Hospital near me and found very positive reviews for the Bucks County Vets on on 611. It is about 20 minutes from me. I rushed her there where she was immediately taken in for x rays and Dr. Jackson said Angel had pneumonia! She needed several medications.....Angel refuses to take meds for me! You think she takes them and find them stuck in her beard on on the floor or pillow etc. It is exhausting because I am by myself with no one to help me. Dr, Jackson offered to have them give Angel the medications because they were critical for her to recover. I went every day and night for over a week and in between they took x rays. She also was being very tricky there too when it came to her meds! Bugger! Today she is all better!!! I can't even begin to give enough of praise for all the staff at this location. Dr. Jackson is wonderful! You couldn't have your beloved pets with better people who will care for them! They also are very reasonable. I am so thankful to know they are there in the future if anything serious should happen. read more

I highly recommend VETS for urgent care needs. I brought my 8 year old cat in for stomach issues, the vet on site at the time was very helpful. It was the first time (after menu trips to our regular vet) that someone mentioned the possibility of IBD. It was this visit that finally helped me get some answers and point me in the right direction towards the correct food and treatment for my cat. In addition, I needed a copy of his records for my new vet and I sent an email to the office (as they are closed during the day). I received a response with his records within 2 hours, even though it is outside of their business hours. Which was TRULY appreciated. As for the comments about the cost, they are very open about how much it costs to walk in the door and any other associated costs. Medical treatment is expensive! I don't fault the office for the prices, it is unquestionably worth it in my opinion. read more

Dont waste your time or money!! Go directly to VSEC!! I took my dog here on a Sunday night. Not only could they not handle the acuity of her situation and let me to believe that they could, but they misdiagnosed her, wasted our precious time together, caused her longer time in discomfort, and money added expenses, but Im more concerned about the care my baby received. I took her back in the AM so she could be monitored, and bascially not alone while my husband and I were at work. They said they would run blood work, and "call if there were any changes". I never received a call, plus I called and my husband called to check on her, we were both told she was fine, and doing well. When I went to pick her up after work it was a completely differently story, her blood work was worse, they never did anything to treat her, which I had given full authorization for, and they were recommending a blood transfusion. SO WHY DIDNT I RECEIVE A CALL!!! WHY DID YOU JUST LET MY BABY LAY HERE!! the doctor was EXTREMELY rude, as a RN i could never even imagine speaking to my pts in such a way. I called my vet, because I just was so unsure what to do, who thankfully told me to get the hell out of there and go to VSEC, which was like a completely different world. Please people, if you love your pets, they deserve better care then this place, I wish i had known. read more

I recently had to rush my dog Lydia to a hospital due to limp ness and breathing hard, I was told by my vet to take her right to a hospital due to the hospital having the technology right on board. I called emergency vets and at 9 am, the wonderful receptionist told me they were a night hospital and off the clock but she told me to hang on... she came back on the phone and said to bring my dog in and the vet would be back to see her and her two staff stayed! I thought these people are the best, we arrived and in a minute Lydia was in a room where the triage team worked, we were told she was bleeding internally from a tumor, as devastated as we were with this procedure of putting her down, saying goodbye, the staff were the most professional, understanding and sympathetic to us. Dr Jackson diagnosed my dog on sight with 100 percent accuracy and is very professional, I cannot express my thanks, I would highly recommend this hospital to see any animal!!!!! read more

Completely agree with the reviewer about how they treat you. Money, money, money. Would not care for our brand new rescue puppy to treat parvo which is very serious until I gave them over $2000 up front. I couldn't believe that this was how they do things. I'm holding my sick pup in one hand and they are shoving credit card slips under the other to get paid. The rescue group will step up and cover this bill for me since we only had the puppy for 24 hrs but I would never go back unless they were my only option in an emergency. . She is still there and since they will not allow me to even see her, I cannot comment on the level of care she is receiving. Could you imagine if this were your child in the hospital? Please stay away from this Hospital. I had to take my Dog there because he had a laceration on a Sunday. When I called the Receptionist she told me that there was a 185 Dollar Fee just to get in. Are you kidding me!!!!! Well I went there anyhow, I arrived and after all my Paperwork was done, they took my dog. I told them I would rather not have him stitched up, because of Anesthesia, they should see if they could do something other than stitches. Then Dr. Kathrina Jackson came out and said they will have to stitch (678 Dollar complete price), so I ok it and they told me to come back in 45 Minutes to pick my dog up. When I came back, they told me, Oh you left to quick, we did not do stiches, we glued it. So my bill was ONLY 412,50 Dollars!!!!! But the worst part was that 2 hours later the glue has already disappeared, the wound was split open again. Like nothing was done to him. I did not go back to this Facility. So I paid 412 Dollars for NOTHING!!!!! I just should have read the Reviews on this Facility before I took my dog there, for sure I would have chosen someone else . read more

What a horrible experience! Our dog had split her lip open, and we were told that she would not be the first in line for a necessary operation, but that they'd call us during the course of the day (finishing by "6 the latest")to keep us updated.While there, a woman called to ask about her diabetic dog who needed the meds adjusted and had stayed the night, and the staff member mocked her saying "it's pretty messed up when you recognize the person calling (I should have realized that this office staff lacked compassion). Having not heard from them, we called at about 4p.m., and the receptionist acted as if we had no reason for concern (we were bothering them). We were informed that our dog hadn't even gone in for surgery, but was sedated and being held in a cage for about 6 hours at this point. At about 9:30 p.m., (after 11 hours of being caged), we showed up to the office. We were told that she still hadn't had surgery, and may not for a while because they couldn't sedate her(although originally we were told that she was sedated). They couldn't sedate her, because they "couldn't watch over her" with other emergencies coming in all day long. At that point we decided to take our dog home , so that she could be seen by her regular doctor on Monday morning. They billed us about $350 for nothing (ridiculous itemized bill listing all kinds of charges). We paid he bill and left. I'm so glad that we waiting the night to have her seen by her regular vet (Piper Veterinary). This was more than half of the estimate (they were mad that we were leaving, and reminded us that our signing the estimate was a contract). The next day, our dog was seen right away, the cost was about $350 , but included the surgery and post-op meds. Most of all, she was cared for by a staff of compassionate and loving individuals. I feel badly that we were a bit abrupt with the staff at Bucks, only to realized that they are understaffed (they can't handle the emergencies), and terribly incapable. By the way, the place was disgustedly filthy (how about spending the money that you rob people of on a "Swiffer"?) I would not recommend this place if your pet has more than a hangnail. If I could give them a quarter of a star, I would. Next time we will either wait for our regular vet, or go to a real professional operation like Quakertown Veterinary for emergencies. read more

My adult male cat was having extreme problems breathing and I rushed my cat to this emergency clinic for treatment at 230am. After a short visit the doctor told me she would keep him and run some tests, including a chest xray. At 930am I received a voice message that said he had fluid in his lungs according to the xray. I called my normal vet and she left me a voice message saying they hoped they had removed the fluid immediately. I called the BCV back and I was told they couldn't do anything until they reopened at 600pm. I called at 615pm and they said they would have the procedure down by 1000pm. At 1005pm I called back and I was told they hadn't removed the fluid yet but that they would do it now. I called again at 1215am and I was then told they hadn't performed the procedure yet but that they would by the morning and they would call me when it was done. I did not get the next call until 600am. I was told they pulled 160 mL of fluid from his chest cavity and that a slide of the fluid presented with lymphoma. I was told my cat was in stable condition. I took him home around 1000am and he passed away immediately after he was home right in front of me. I rushed him to my vet and they could not revive him. My vet told me upon seeing the xray that she had not seen a cat with so much fluid in his chest. It is not BCV's fault my cat had cancer. It was not BCV's fault that my cat passed way from complications. However, my cat sat at their facility for almost 30 hours suffering, unable to breathe properly and had not eaten and had not drank anything the entire time he was there. My cat spent his last 1.5 days with fluid in his chest cavity struggling to breathe without just cause. When I asked questions, I was greeted with attitude. I am angry and hurt that my cat suffered severely. BCV did not cause his disease, but they did ZERO to save his life or prevent further trauma. read more
